I now have plug in internet ports in each room I want. He offered to significantly improve my wireless speed as well, but with the ports, I felt it was not necessary at present. As a second job, I had him upgrade a very slow older laptop by swapping out the old hard drive for a new solid state hard drive. Screaming fast for less than half the cost of a moderate laptop. He even gave my back my old drive, now wired to act as an extra, external hard drive. I found Clay to be pleasant, competent and professional and highly recommend him. If I have other computer work to be done, I know where to go.

For over a year, the screen had to be opened where you wanted it before you turned it on because if you moved the machine virtually at all and the screen jiggled it would lock up, necessitating a restart. Then, suddenly, it refused to boot up in any screen position. I brought it to PC Werx. The gentleman who came out to look at it plugged in a separate monitor and talked with me about his concerns and let me make the decision to not invest any more money in this one because the repair could easily be more expensive than the residual value of the machine. When he asked me if there was information on it that I needed to keep, that was a no, so, there was no urgent need to do anything with it. He mentioned a retailer that he has had good experience with and that happened to be where I buy virtually all computer related hardware, we shook hands and he said thank you. I mean, I'm sure he could have repaired my machine, but he gently let me know his suggestion is to spend my money on something that I'd get better service out of rather than into the one I've worn out.
