Yes, 5 stars. I'm with Pauline - Apple has really gotten under my skin. I love the iMac, too bad I have to deal with Apple to get one. The reason for 5 stars is honesty. I expect to be jerked around. It seems to be common. It is refreshing to run into someone who runs an honest business. My spouse's laptop is working fine for a reasonable price. Without going into a long diatribe, I'll simply say, the repair I had hoped for would have cost me a ton of money if what Apple had told me was true. The problem was identified and it was a mutual conclusion that the cost of repair was more than it was worth. In the long run, buying a new one would be the better avenue. There was much going into identifying the problem. The bill was more than reasonable. I have to say the lesson was worth the expense. Ehab was a delight to deal with. Be honest with him and he'll be honest with you. Simple really. A blast from the past - good customer service without phony corporate speak. His shop doesn't have the sparkle and hype that the Apple store has. It does have straight talk and excellent service. If the service is more important than the bling, give A+ PC a go. read more

Thanks to several horrible experiences at the apple store at north park, I found A+ online and all their glorious reviews, and it was so on point. They fixed my macbook in no time, doing things that the apple "genius" told me would take up to two months to fix (shipping my macbook to where ever the hell to remove a stripped screw.... no thanks) The price was right as well, it was less than the price of a macbook charger at the god forsaken apple store. Based on a search on Yelp for recommendations for computer repair and this little shop had 2 good reviews. Based on that, I took my wife's mini laptop in because I could not get it to recognize our internet wifi signal. I knew it wasn't the wifi as my company's laptop was working just fine. As this laptop wasn't worth spending a lot of money on, I asked if he could just fix it so it would find wifi signals. He did just that by removing a couple of viruses, deleted the virus program we had on it, and loaded a free program that he recommended. Total charge......$42 and some change. My 2006 Mac Pro wouldn't boot up, so I found these guys gave them a call and asked if they felt comfortable working on my Mac, they said sure no prob, so I went ahead and dropped it off. As soon as I got there they started telling me what the cause of the problem could be then told me it wasn't worth fixing, I disagreed with him and ask him to run some test and I told him exactly what I thought the problem was and then I left. He calls me back a day later and says yes it was in fact what I said (the hard drive wasn't booting the computer up) great! He ask me if I want to upgrade drives, yes so I gave the go ahead, he says it will be ready the next day. So I called back the next day to see if I could grab it and the. He tells me that it wasn't the hard drive and the mother board is bad and the power core is bad. What?? He back peddles on an excuse I went to pick it up he charges me $20 bucks, I took the hard drive to a friends ran restore disk in the utilities and now the computer is 100% functional. So exactly what computer was he looking at and why wasn't a computer tech able to do what I did? He was a nice guy but if I ask you about your level of comfort on a type of computer and you respond no prob, I expect to to be able to do exactly what I did with out any issues. He obviously knows nothing about Mac desktops and/ or didn't want to deal with a small hard drive issue, I would never go back there or recommend them to anyone, because this guys excuse On why my computer wouldn't work sounded bogus and it totally was! I went up the shop to get my laptop fixed sadly they were not able to, but I don't blame them for it, they could have given up but they spent 2 days trying to fix my computer and didn't charge me anything. Most places I've been to charge for just looking at the damn thing, they were very professional and straight foreword with me, they didn't try to bullshit me. I know in the future if I need anything fixed I'll take it to these guys first. read more
