    12_2023. Generally, I really like Best Buy (BB). They have a lot of great electronics. My experience this season is subpar at the Rockwall location. My wife called BB customer care at about 5:30pm and asked about availability for an Owlet baby monitor. The BB rep said that it was available at this 995 E. I-30 Rockwall location (their website even stated so). Rep wanted to take the order over the phone, process payment and to schedule pick up at Rockwall. Enough time was given and I arrived at the location at about 8:00 PM. BB had already withdrawn $345.53 from my bank acct. I checked in with Customer Service. They told me to wait as BB was verifying that they received payment. (My bank said they already had). Common sense: the funds have been withdrawn from my checking account, please go to the shelf and give me what I paid for, thanks. Instead, I was told to wait. I waited in the store roughly 45 minutes. Maybe longer. I asked the clerk to check again, she scanned the bar code on the email I received from BB. No, nothing, still processing. I would have liked for them to take the initiative: Sir, your payment has been processed, here's your product, thanks for shopping with us, good night. No. I got the impression that they were passing the time until closing time; instead of really helping out a customer. I checked the floor and the Owlet was not there. Meanwhile, the wife at home is waiting for me to pick up this baby monitor so that we could get some peace of mind rest. Closing time near, I checked for availability at Target. I drove to Target location in Rowlett. I walked into Target, found the exact model Owlet baby monitor, checked out, drove home. About the next day, I received notice from BB that they actually do NOT have what we paid for in their Rockwall location. Then why did the rep say it was there in Rockwall and take my payment? It was a complete waste of time. I could've been home with the fam. With our newborn. BB Rockwall, I feel very disappointed. And I had to wait about two business days to get a full refund. For nothing. I'm sure that you all can do better. Thanks.

    The experience at this Best Buy has been okay. Typically, a Best Buy associate would come up to you & ask if you need help, however that was not the case this time. I had to walk around the whole store to find someone to help me out. From here on, I had to buy some accessories for my Apple Watch, which they did not have a huge selection. Afterwards, I went to go see geek squad to help me with my Apple Watch & there was only 2 associates working in a busy Best Buy! Not a good experience.

    I'm not a professional but I know this isn't how you install it. And that took him an hour!

    Do not purchase AppleCare from Best Buy if you need it get it directly from Apple and avoid a headache.

    BEWARE. This company is highly unethical and basically running a service-fee scam. I hired them to…read morerepair an ice maker. When the tech arrived, I explained the error code and told him the pump was failing. He tried searching the generic model number, said he'd keep looking, and left after charging a 125 dollar diagnostic fee. He never called back. When my wife followed up, they simply repeated the model number of our own ice maker and told her that if we could find the part, they would install it. When I got home, it was obvious the tech never inspected the pump at all. I pulled it myself with guidance, and the pump model number was printed clearly on the part. I ordered the replacement on Amazon for 30 dollars and fixed it on my own. They claim the service fee covers inspection and diagnostics. He didn't inspect anything, and I provided the diagnosis when he walked in the door. They showed up, collected the 125 dollars, and made zero effort to help. It took four emails and a full week just to get a response when I complained. If they can't even check the part that's supposedly the issue, don't waste your money. Call a company with actual integrity. And if you want more context, look up the owner in the Rockwall County criminal records database. You'll see exactly why this operation is not trustworthy.

I love supporting this Rockwall business and they will be my go-to if anything else goes out in the future.
