Never! Again, never! Don't go to this restaurant, because I ordered food for my father who is 68 years old and asked not to put ginger because my father is allergic, the workers ignored my request and put so much ginger that my father stopped breathing after taking this food and I had to call an ambulance and hospitalize him, he almost died in the hospital

My Fiance decided to be very nice and suprise me with Thai food when I got home. The suprise was halfway through eating I found a ROACH in my Pad Thai. I have already thrown up and if I get sick enough to require medical attention I will be taking legal action. The health department needs to take a good look into this place. Do your health a favor and STAY AWAY

I only ordered Uber eats from here so I haven't been there. The food was good though and the lunch specials were a good deal. Came with salad and gyoza. The wings were delicious as well.

Pad Thai, shrimp fried rice. Wonton soup, crab Rangoon, dumplings, and chocolate cake.

Why did I only discover this Thai place now? My husband and I enjoyed everything I ordered (Drunken Noodle Medium Spice with chicken, Chicken Satay, Yellow Curry Their yellow curry here is one of the best I've had!! Lots of chicken, potatos, carrots. It's very flavorful and the curry sauce was amazing like I could eat rice just with the sauce itself. It is on the thicker side too which means they did not dilute it with too much water unlike other thai place where curries are too watery and couldn't taste the flavor. The Drunken noodles (medium spice) ...OMG this is to die for!!! I love basil and I never knew this kind of noodles has it. Its better that padseeeew and it also has flat noodles FYI. As for the Chicken satay, it comes in 6 sticks with generous sizes per skewr and it goes well with their very yummy peanut sauce!!! The best peanut sauce I've had ever!!!! with Chicken). I ordered ours through Uber eats but based on how my order was prepared and request were accomodated, I couls tell that they provide such high customer service. Lastly, they are so generous too, I asked for extra peanut sauce and cucumber for the satay and they did gave me the extras which nnormally other Thai places just ignores my requests. Looks like we have a new go to That restaurant :) Keep it up and I hope the quality and quantity of your food will stay the same as always, you are "AWESOME" Awesome Thai!!!! :)

This location no longer offers dine-in.

We weren't able to dine at Awesome Thai, but the smells were awesome! Felt awkward leaving a star rating, but it's required by Yelp. I'll definitely be back when I can have a carry-out experience.

Awesome Thai is literally SO AWESOME! This has been our go-to UberEats spot since last year. The prices are great, especially with the discounts on the app when you order over $30, and the food tastes amazing. I used to work at a Thai restaurant with Thai chefs, so I'm very familiar with Thai food, and this place has authentic Thai food. My boyfriend always gets Pad Thai, and I usually go for soupy dishes. I've tried their Boat Noodle Soup, curries, Tom Yum, and Tom Ka - haven't been let down by a single one! We got Pad see-ew last night and it was DELICIOUS. I appreciate this local restaurant SO MUCH and plan to keep ordering Thai food from here. Thanks for the great food!

Despite even that, I was helped immediately and was heading out with my order for 2 bowls in about 15 minutes. I was also offered a glass of ice water while I waited, which was very kind. Every aspect from the dark walls and wooden bar, down to the music and bathroom is well thought out. You can tell they truly value their space and the customers that support the restaurant. Don't get me started on the food ~ We tried the Bincho Egg Black Tonkatsu Ramen. The broth was silky and creamy, not oily or heavy at all. The black garlic added a very interesting earthy and almost scorched taste to it. The egg was sweet, and I've never had a sweet ramen egg before but it went well with the rest of the umami flavors in the dish. The green onions and wood ear mushrooms had a fresh crunch to them and there was enough to get a good amount in every bite. The charsiu was tender + savory sweet, kinda tasted like cheese to me but that's also a positive lol! The noodles were slightly chewy and the portion was just right for the amount of broth you get. I have nothing bad to say about this ramen, it's truly one of those spots where your heart desires seconds or even thirds lowkey. I'll be back again to try a different option on the menu. That spicy karaage looked pretty fire so I may need to come back to try that too... Thank you Bincho! Y'all killed the ramen game.

The menu was on laminated paper which must be a few years old and felt disgusting to touch. I started with hot tea and it was served in a metal cup. I wish they served it in a nice ceramic container for customer's enjoyment. For lunch, we ordered chicken chow mein and their pork and crab dumpling (like a xiao long bao). The chicken chow mein had a boatload of cabbage and probably 10 strips of chow mein noodles. It should have been called cabbage noodles (lol). The pork and crab dumplings would have been a hit, but the dumpling shell had a "soapy" smell. The meat inside was soft and tasted good, but I couldn't get over the smell of the shell. We would have also wanted to try seaweed salad, but it was unavailable on this day. The parking at Northern Cafe is plenty. The staff is also courteous. But given the state of the food and overall feel, I give it only two stars. Truthfully, you can find better Chinese food close by this area. He knows I love hot pot and instead of our usual 626 hot pot spots, he wanted to choose something new and hip that we've never tried before. He heard from a friend that Tabu Shabu was a good hot pot place so we decided to try it out. The restaurant is located in the corner in a huge plaza, we came on a Friday night and although the plaza was busy, we were able to find a parking spot. Inside the restaurant, you'll either be seated the few tables that they or in the center circular "bar" style seating. It was my first time being at a hot pot place with this style seating, but it was a unique experience. Once seated, we were given menus and quickly asked what we wanted to drink. After the waitress took our order, it took us about 15 minutes for our appetizer to arrive. We ordered spicy edamame and a cucumber salad. The menu was very basic and I wasn't impressed with the broth selection. The standard broth was traditional kombu (literally water with a huge piece of seaweed), miso for additional $1, sukiyaki, for additional $3, and tonkotsu for additional $4. Sounds a bit absurd to me that they would charge extra for the different options when at much better tasting Hot Pot places, the options would all be included in the price. After 20 minutes, one of the waiters noticed that we didn't receive our broth or food and asked us if we ordered yet. We told him that a waitress took our order already but we haven't received our food. Turns out, the waitress took our order but didn't place it in the system yet. I'm hangry at this point, we came to our reservation at 7:30, it's 8:20 at this point and we had plans at 9pm-- so I was a bit annoyed that we had to wait so long. Things were turned around once we received our order though, the broth and food came quickly after she placed our order and the veggie platter section was OK. I'm not the biggest fan of hot pot places that have preselected veggie plates. The veggie plate had a small handful of spinach, a few pieces of napa cabbage, 3 pieces of broccoli, two slices of kabocha pumpkin, a small bunch of enoki mushroom, two pieces of tofu, and some onion slices. It's a nice "variety" but I only like broccoli and mushroom, but because I don't eat rice I had no choice but to eat the veggies to fill me up. I'm happy they offered Shirataki noodles! I chose the large portion and did half chicken half chuck roll. The chuck roll I was given was chewy and fatty. I spat out the chewy parts which was basically majority of the portion I was given. Would I come back here? No, but being from the 626, I have higher expectations for hot pot because I've grown up eating it. This is a good hot pot place for beginner hot pot goers.

Tl;dr: if you're curious, don't waste your time, bafang is open 5min away Preface: I KNOW it's mall food, but for a restaurant that continuously pops up as #1 on Yelp whenever I search for food around the northridge/chatsworth area, I'm going to treat it as if it were a #1 spot. Beef noodle soup: to be very blunt, this was quite flavorless. The beef was dry as bones and looked like it was sliced with a mandoline. The noodles seemed undercooked and it felt like I was eating al dente spaghetti noodles. I got a medium spice level which didn't even seem that spicy, just a lot of cough inducing chili oil with no burn. Pan fried dumplings were ok. It honestly tasted like it was deep fried and not pan fried. Unsweetened black tea: hands down the best of the 3 things in the combo, which is quite telling. Honestly you get a decent amount of food for $15. The beef was soft and flavorful with the smaller bits of beef, which resembled ground beef, were very tasty. The soup was good overall but felt a bit too oily. The dumplings had a light crunchy exterior and the inside was juicy but it felt just a bit too mushy for me. Overall a good place and I would return to try something else.
