Glad I found this place. The food and coffee were delicious. Service was very attentive. I was there at an odd time don't was slow and I can't speak to how busy or loud it might get. I look forward to coming back to try more things.

I've been rockin out brunch here for a few. Staff is lovely. Space is solid and cleanly. Great for one-on-one meetings and groups. Eggs benny, to omelets to over easy- tastiness them all. There's a sourdough bread option. There's WiFi for when you want to work solo. They've fun bar high tops and booths. Their table side haute sauce is tasty being vinegar forward. Love their fresh squeezed juices. Excellent coffee options. I see a lot of pancakes and carafes of mimosas ordered here. Alt milks? They got 'em. Parking in the retail lot. Enjoy!

We chose Awake because it was close to our son's apartment and had good reviews. Honestly, when we walked in it didn't seem like much and wasn't t busy at 10 am on a Sunday. That changed with the service which was really good. I started with a hot latte and it was good but too small. I needed it to be bigger. Tasted good though. The four of us had some good choices. I opted for the spinach bacon mushroom omelet and a side of grits. They both were good and I'm very particular about my grits too. Finished the whole plate. The crab cake Benedict was good and they also like the deluxe egg sandwich. Overall a really nice experience and I was impressed that the prices were reasonable.

Phenomenal breakfast spot. Originally tried going to another brunch spot but the wait times was way too long, so happy we stumbled upon this place. The food here was incredibly tasty. I ordered the huevos rancheros with a side of gritz- this dish was easily the highlight of my meal. It's consists of chorizo, refined beans, a floured tortilla, sour cream, avocado, etc. the point is it was delicious. The gritz were also a pleasant surprise- they were cooked way better than I was expecting. I also ordered a single pancake. The portion was huge. I couldn't finish the whole thing but it was quite tasty. I really enjoyed my breakfast here. It was amazing. I broke my diet to eat here and I have 100% NO REGRETS!

I wanted to come to Awake this morning because some local Yelpers who I respect came here and said it was pretty good. I like coming to places early on Sunday mornings to avoid the craziness of many breakfast places. When I walked in I immediately sensed a nice pleasant atmosphere and ambiance. It's pleasantly warm and welcoming. The music is not overly loud and while upbeat, is pleasant. There is a flat panel displaying underwater ocean scenes adding to the relaxing vibe. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and chose potatoes as my side. My eggs were slightly overcooked, as a great Benedict's yolks run when cut into. The English Muffin was not as fresh as I would have liked either. The ham used was delicious. The overall taste of the dish was pretty much on. The potatoes were good as well. Rolando my server did a great job. He was attentive and engaging.

Breakfast is my favorite meal the day. And I'm an eggs, Benedict lover connoisseur all of that stuff. It took us a long time to get our seats. Not because they were busy because they just seemed like they might've been a little bit unorganized. The food was good because we were so hungry. The eggs Benedict was a 6.7 Breakfast for two 40 coconuts

BEST Blueberry Pancakes EVER! Great overall experience. This spot has a nice, clean, chill vibe to it; it's couple or family friendly. The staff are friendly and attentive. I ordered the Blueberry Pancake with Turkey Sausage and Egg Whites. This large 10" blueberry pancake has to be the best I have ever had. It comes with a blueberry compote that elevates the taste even more. I'm shocked at how good it tastes without being overly sweet and syrup is not necessary for this one. The turkey sausage was pretty good, too! I cleaned my plate out and didn't feel bad about it. I left feeling content. Side note: they have this Kale Kicker that's worth a try! And no, it doesn't taste kale-y.

Atmosphere: Located in a little strip mall, Awake is a bright cheery spot to have breakfast. 1 Star Service: I was welcomed as soon as I walked in and allowed to sit wherever I pleased. My waitress was quick to my table and never left me wanting for anything. She did her job as if she actually enjoyed being there. 2 Stars Food: I wasn't overly adventurous this morning, so all I ordered was an omelette. The omelette was their signature "Awake Omolette." It came with sausage, smoked ham, bacon, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, and jack and cheddar cheese. Supposed to come topped with sour cream, but I opted for salsa (which was good) on top of mine. You also get your choice of side and an English muffin. I got the potatoes, which were well seasoned and crispy. The muffin was perfect. 2 Star

I hate to admit the hype people have given this restaurant baffles me. We had passed it a couple of times and it always seemed to be packed. I finally decided to try it out after a coupon was given to give them a try at a discounted price. To be fair their cost for an average breakfast is very affordable but still not worth the expense. My beverage of choice was the KALE KICKER $5 Fuji apple, kale, cucumber, and lime blended in- house daily. - The drink was very fresh but a little overpriced, but the rest of their other beverages were all close to the same amount if not more. MEDITERRANEAN FRITTATA $11.29 An open-faced, egg white omelet filled with all-natural chicken, house-roasted tomatoes, Mozzarella and Parmesan. Served with dressed greens and an English muffin. (540 Cal) - This meal was so bland, my frittata did have maybe one tomato and a small spoon of chicken in the center. I made it halfway and gave up, and that's when I discovered "Oh there is chicken in this!" I'm not sure where they think this frittata is mediterranean nothing of flavor or spice was added to just the plain fried egg. The greens were just arugula with a simple vinaigrette at least the greens were fresh, but not impressed after the frittata fail. CHICKEN & WAFFLES $13.00 My other half had the saddest chicken tender meal I've ever seen! The breading was thin but not seasoned but at least it wasn't overcooked. The waffle was doughy, people do like that, I wasn't a fan, he was. My favorite part of both of our meals combined was the gravy he was given! That was good for sure and had a homemade flavor quality to it. Overall, our meal was given at a discount thanks to the coupon BUT not a fan of the bland and lower quality food. The environment was neatly organized and had some cutesy appeal. The staff was super friendly. - another downside, was the cleanliness, one of the mugs provided on our table still had lipstick stains from a previous customer!

Amrita J.

So service was good, at least with my server. Especially with me being solo, often you'll find they don't really pay you much attention, however mine was very attentive to me despite me being just one person. Love that! She suggested the Monterrey Benedict, which was really good. The potatoes were a little mediocre as they lacked flavor and seasoning, and seemed to be a little undercooked (they weren't as brown and crispy as I prefer). Nothing a little ketchup and hot sauce couldn't fix! The pomegranate mimosa was mostly champagne, so no complaints there! LoL Overall I'll be back since it's right near my apartment but not rushing here with friends or anything.

This is by far my favorite breakfast spot, delicious food and the service was great. Will be back!

This was the most okay-est breakfast place I've been to in the area, but maybe it was the time of day I went. It kind of looked like diner meets Pinterest aesthetic. It was empty in the restaurant except maybe two or three other tables there, it just felt awkward and unwelcoming. And the server (don't remember names) was very plain, cut, and dry. I ordered the crab cake Benedict because I'm obsessed with trying all sorts of benny's, but this one was not it. I love crab, but not imitation crab and I should have chosen something else. I mean, it wasn't awful, the eggs were poached very nicely. It just tasted especially fishy. I'm not opposed to visiting again and trying more things another time though, just this time was not a hit for me.

Ivy N.

We came here over the weekend to have a brunch date. It was honestly a little subpar. The food wasn't hot, just lukewarm, so it didn't taste super fresh. We both got benedict's with potatoes as the side and the potatoes were not crispy, more on the mushy side. The french toast with fruit tasted stale and kinda hard. The frozen peach cocktail drink they had was good in flavor and refreshing though, prob the best item we ordered. Service was attentive and inside is really cute, clean, and modern but maybe they just had an off food day.

Under done pancake plus poached egg = slop

After a night out, we all wanted to kill some brunch! I found this place through the Yelp app and based on the rating and reviews, I suggested we eat here. I am a little hard to woo at times but I think feedback on any scale should be welcomed. First off the food is good. It is. I had The Bacon and Avocado Scramble with a side of seasoned breakfast potatoes and an English muffin. The wait to sit wasn't too bad and the food came out roughly 20 mins after our order was placed. However, the meal did seem a bit colder than I was hoping for. The serving dish which housed the scramble didn't fit well on the plate and with every bite, it rocked like a sailboat bouncing on troubled waters. Good coffee and overall a satisfying experience. Comparable to Another Broken Egg Cafe but I still rate that place a bit higher. read more

Came first time on a Sunday morning about 8:30. Not very crowded at all. Ordered the whole wheat blue berry pancake (0ne) that comes with two eggs and Sausage. It looks just about everything on the menu is about $10. The website does not show any prices and the beverages section on the actual menu in the restaurant also had no pricing at all?! Feeling adventurous? Order a coffee and a OJ juice and guess how much the bill will be? On the bright side nothing seems more than $10. The single pancake was large and flat. It came with a scoop of real fluffy.. margarine..wait what? At a nice breakfast spot? I think not. I had the waiter bring me some real butter..two hunks of ice cold cubes that tore my pancake as I spread over. The sausage patties had a nice grease shimmer and the very distinctive flavor of sage. So if you like sage you will love these. The scrabbled eggs were good, scrambled warm and fluffy. I would come back if in the neighbor hood to see what some of the other items are like. read more

While the newly renovated restaurant was very cute and updated, I am so sad to report that the whole experience was disappointing. The wait was long, as expected on a Sunday morning, but we didn't not expect to wait so long for our food. We ordered the French toast and huevos rancheros. When it finally arrived, we were very disappointed to find that it was cold and lacked flavor-- even the bacon was cold and chewy. The waiter was kind and offered to have the food made again but was upfront enough to tell us that it would take a while to remake. We chose not to do this as we'd already been there an hour. I did not eat my food (it was that bad) and the waiter came back to apologize again and tell us that the manager was going to take my meal off our check. While we appreciated the gesture, it would have been good customer service for the manager to come talk to us himself. The cherry on top was that the woman at the register never even spoke to my husband as he was paying but engaged in conversation with another employee. The restaurant was also very cold and the toilet in the women's restaurant was leaking and flooding the bathroom. It seems like the restaurant is working out some kinks at this time. While we typically give a restaurant more than one try, the lack of customer service is too hard to overlook this time. We hope others have a different experience but we will not be returning or recommending this establishment. read more

I'm not sure why this place has such high reviews. My food took 40 min to get to me after it was ordered, it was cold, unappetizing and bland so I sent it back. I had to eat my husbands food before going to work (btw it wasn't that good either he got a breakfast burrito and the guac was brown, the side potatoes cold and there were only 3 other tables being served in the dining room) just so I wouldn't be hungry. It was not worth the price AT ALL ($19 for 2) for mediocre / subpar food. I'd rather go to IHOP or Mcdonalds even. I could've drove home and made a better breakfast myself! They gave me my food to go and gave me a 2% discount and the waitress and staff were pretty friendly but I will never go back the food was just too terrible to pay for. read more

We were looking for someplace different for breakfast and after reading the good reviews here the family headed out to The egg and I. WOW We must be real picky because we thought it was below average. I've had better breakfasts at an Embassy Suit. The sausage and potatoes were the worst I've had at any breakfast spots. Had our eye on this spot for a while and finally tried it. We had the Paris in Benedict and the blueberry pancake with poached eggs and bacon. The bacon was crisp as requested, the eggs done just right. The pancake was outstanding...light, crispy a bit on the ends, and the blueberries both in the batter and the compote thick with tons of blueberries. The hollandaise on the Benedict did not separate and the whole dish was tasty. The potatoes were very good. Of particular note was the coffee which was excellent. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing atmosphere where you can catch up with friends while enjoying an excellent brunch, I highly recommend CBD Provisions. Although I was eligible for a room upgrade, it wasn't ready so I took a regular king, which was fine. I appreciated the ability to get in prior to noon as I was headed to the game. I didn't spend much time at the hotel but the service, lobby and room met my picky expectations . The king room was big enough for 2 adults along with my 70 pound boxer and small dog. My only complaint is no grass nearby. It is downtown so I get it but a small patch would be helpful. There is a pet area next door but it's dirt and let's just say my dogs need grass ‍ they aren't accustomed to using the bathroom in dirt so apparently they thought they were doing something wrong ‍. I fibbed I have a second complaint, the restaurant service was extremely slow and the silverware was gross I had to get multiple switchouts. That's fixable and I'll be nice and not dock stars for it I'd definitely come back if I have my pups and need to be in the downtown Dallas area.

Our event coordinator had already been in contact with each hotel's sales team regarding room blocks, but my fiancé and I wanted to personally see the properties before recommending them to 30-40 hotel room blocks. Although we arrived after sales office hours, Liz at the front desk was exceptionally kind. She walked us through the restaurants commonly used for private events, explained the renovation timeline, and invited us to take our time exploring before returning to the front desk to view a standard guest room. Unfortunately, our experience changed when another employee, who later identified himself as Clayton, a manager, stepped in. It appeared he had been listening to our conversation but had not introduced himself. He abruptly informed us that we would not be able to view a room. We explained that our event coordinator was already working with the sales manager regarding room blocks and pricing, and that we were simply trying to ensure we felt confident recommending the hotel to our family and friends. Despite understanding the situation, he remained unwilling to accommodate the request. His only suggestion was that we purchase a room if we wanted to see one. For us, this interaction spoke volumes. Hospitality isn't just about beautiful rooms--it's about making potential guests feel welcomed and valued. If this was the experience we received as prospective clients considering multiple wedding events and dozens of room nights, it gave us pause about what our guests might experience. As a result, we will likely to move our room block, welcome dinner, Saturday event, and Sunday brunch where we're met with warmth, flexibility, and genuine hospitality from the moment we arrive. The Joule is undeniably a beautiful property, but customer service plays a major role in our decision-making. Unfortunately, this experience left us feeling that our business was neither appreciated nor wanted.

Alexa at the bar greeted me, and went over the menu and specials with me. She did a great job making my cocktails and giving casual conversation throughout. I ordered the off-menu Steak Frites with broccolini and fries. The steak was charred perfectly on the outside and moist and at the lovely medium temp on the inside. Everything was delicious. Not one disappointing dish on the table. Then came the bill...$450 for four people, with no dessert. That was definitely a bit of a shock.
