I've been rockin out brunch here for a few. Staff is lovely. Space is solid and cleanly. Great for one-on-one meetings and groups. Eggs benny, to omelets to over easy- tastiness them all. There's a sourdough bread option. There's WiFi for when you want to work solo. They've fun bar high tops and booths. Their table side haute sauce is tasty being vinegar forward. Love their fresh squeezed juices. Excellent coffee options. I see a lot of pancakes and carafes of mimosas ordered here. Alt milks? They got 'em. Parking in the retail lot. Enjoy!
We chose Awake because it was close to our son's apartment and had good reviews. Honestly, when we walked in it didn't seem like much and wasn't t busy at 10 am on a Sunday. That changed with the service which was really good. I started with a hot latte and it was good but too small. I needed it to be bigger. Tasted good though. The four of us had some good choices. I opted for the spinach bacon mushroom omelet and a side of grits. They both were good and I'm very particular about my grits too. Finished the whole plate. The crab cake Benedict was good and they also like the deluxe egg sandwich. Overall a really nice experience and I was impressed that the prices were reasonable.
Phenomenal breakfast spot. Originally tried going to another brunch spot but the wait times was way too long, so happy we stumbled upon this place. The food here was incredibly tasty. I ordered the huevos rancheros with a side of gritz- this dish was easily the highlight of my meal. It's consists of chorizo, refined beans, a floured tortilla, sour cream, avocado, etc. the point is it was delicious. The gritz were also a pleasant surprise- they were cooked way better than I was expecting. I also ordered a single pancake. The portion was huge. I couldn't finish the whole thing but it was quite tasty. I really enjoyed my breakfast here. It was amazing. I broke my diet to eat here and I have 100% NO REGRETS!
I wanted to come to Awake this morning because some local Yelpers who I respect came here and said it was pretty good. I like coming to places early on Sunday mornings to avoid the craziness of many breakfast places. When I walked in I immediately sensed a nice pleasant atmosphere and ambiance. It's pleasantly warm and welcoming. The music is not overly loud and while upbeat, is pleasant. There is a flat panel displaying underwater ocean scenes adding to the relaxing vibe. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and chose potatoes as my side. My eggs were slightly overcooked, as a great Benedict's yolks run when cut into. The English Muffin was not as fresh as I would have liked either. The ham used was delicious. The overall taste of the dish was pretty much on. The potatoes were good as well. Rolando my server did a great job. He was attentive and engaging.
Breakfast is my favorite meal the day. And I'm an eggs, Benedict lover connoisseur all of that stuff. It took us a long time to get our seats. Not because they were busy because they just seemed like they might've been a little bit unorganized. The food was good because we were so hungry. BEST Blueberry Pancakes EVER! Great overall experience. This spot has a nice, clean, chill vibe to it; it's couple or family friendly. The staff are friendly and attentive. I ordered the Blueberry Pancake with Turkey Sausage and Egg Whites. This large 10" blueberry pancake has to be the best I have ever had. It comes with a blueberry compote that elevates the taste even more. I'm shocked at how good it tastes without being overly sweet and syrup is not necessary for this one. The turkey sausage was pretty good, too! I cleaned my plate out and didn't feel bad about it. I left feeling content. Side note: they have this Kale Kicker that's worth a try! And no, it doesn't taste kale-y.
Atmosphere: Located in a little strip mall, Awake is a bright cheery spot to have breakfast. 1 Star Service: I was welcomed as soon as I walked in and allowed to sit wherever I pleased. My waitress was quick to my table and never left me wanting for anything. She did her job as if she actually enjoyed being there. 2 Stars Food: I wasn't overly adventurous this morning, so all I ordered was an omelette. The omelette was their signature "Awake Omolette." It came with sausage, smoked ham, bacon, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, and jack and cheddar cheese. Supposed to come topped with sour cream, but I opted for salsa (which was good) on top of mine. You also get your choice of side and an English muffin. I got the potatoes, which were well seasoned and crispy. The muffin was perfect. 2 Star
I hate to admit the hype people have given this restaurant baffles me. We had passed it a couple of times and it always seemed to be packed. I finally decided to try it out after a coupon was given to give them a try at a discounted price. To be fair their cost for an average breakfast is very affordable but still not worth the expense. My beverage of choice was the KALE KICKER $5 Fuji apple, kale, cucumber, and lime blended in- house daily. - The drink was very fresh but a little overpriced, but the rest of their other beverages were all close to the same amount if not more. MEDITERRANEAN FRITTATA $11.29 An open-faced, egg white omelet filled with all-natural chicken, house-roasted tomatoes, Mozzarella and Parmesan. Served with dressed greens and an English muffin. (540 Cal) - This meal was so bland, my frittata did have maybe one tomato and a small spoon of chicken in the center. I made it halfway and gave up, and that's when I discovered "Oh there is chicken in this!" I'm not sure where they think this frittata is mediterranean nothing of flavor or spice was added to just the plain fried egg. The greens were just arugula with a simple vinaigrette at least the greens were fresh, but not impressed after the frittata fail. CHICKEN & WAFFLES $13.00 My other half had the saddest chicken tender meal I've ever seen! The breading was thin but not seasoned but at least it wasn't overcooked. The waffle was doughy, people do like that, I wasn't a fan, he was. My favorite part of both of our meals combined was the gravy he was given! That was good for sure and had a homemade flavor quality to it. Overall, our meal was given at a discount thanks to the coupon BUT not a fan of the bland and lower quality food. The environment was neatly organized and had some cutesy appeal. The staff was super friendly. - another downside, was the cleanliness, one of the mugs provided on our table still had lipstick stains from a previous customer!
So service was good, at least with my server. It was empty in the restaurant except maybe two or three other tables there, it just felt awkward and unwelcoming. And the server (don't remember names) was very plain, cut, and dry. I ordered the crab cake Benedict because I'm obsessed with trying all sorts of benny's, but this one was not it. I love crab, but not imitation crab and I should have chosen something else. I mean, it wasn't awful, the eggs were poached very nicely. It just tasted especially fishy. I'm not opposed to visiting again and trying more things another time though, just this time was not a hit for me.
We came here over the weekend to have a brunch date. It was honestly a little subpar. The food wasn't hot, just lukewarm, so it didn't taste super fresh. We both got benedict's with potatoes as the side and the potatoes were not crispy, more on the mushy side. The french toast with fruit tasted stale and kinda hard. The frozen peach cocktail drink they had was good in flavor and refreshing though, prob the best item we ordered. Service was attentive and inside is really cute, clean, and modern but maybe they just had an off food day.
The food here is typical diner food. Service was fast on a Sunday and their service is the star of this place. My disappointment was with my Monterey Benedict that was a soggy mess. The egg's Benedict were on top of undercooked pancake instead of an English muffin or toast. The underdone pancake couldn't absorb the poached eggs and my entire plate was a big puddle. Flower child is definitely a better brunch option
This strip mall establishment located on the crossroads of Addison, Dallas and Richardson is easy to get to with lots of free parking. The business closes in the early afternoon, so aim for a morning visit to get your breakfast on. The inside is on the small side for a breakfast place. It seems to cater most to small gatherings of 2-4 people. We have always been seated right away, but they do have a large entryway where you can stand and wait for a table. Our server was ready with menus and took our drink order right away. My husband was thirsty and emptied his glass in mere seconds. The waiter was too kind. When he returned to refill our glasses, he decided to leave the pitcher of tea at our table so that my husband would have access anytime. He was delighted! Our food came out promptly. I ordered way too much! I got the Monterrey Eggs Benedict served on a jalapeño corn pancake instead of an English muffin. I'm really not fond of the corn pancake as the base for the Benedict, so I plan to ask for a substitution or a different dish next time. I also got a side pancake with fruit. I couldn't eat it all. It was delicious, but it was a lot of food. The dining room has a few TVs that were playing video of natural disasters. I found it disturbing, but like any train wreck, you can't help but rubberneck to see how it turns out. If I could suggest one change, it would be turn these TVs off and uninstall them. If they must keep them, find something more peaceful and relaxing to play on them. We don't go out to eat often, but this breakfast establishment is on our regular rotation of places we frequent. read more
Absolutely impressed with this breakfast spot! Menu is HUGE! The staff were super friendly and helpful to a table that had lots of special requests. It is clean and refreshing on the outside and inside, even more so! Prices are reasonable and you can taste the food quality! It is easy to find with lots of parking! read more
Glad I found this place. The food and coffee were delicious. Service was very attentive. I was there at an odd time don't was slow and I can't speak to how busy or loud it might get. I look forward to coming back to try more things. read more

Loved to decor and the service was awesome. But I think the food was just meh ! The mimosa was great and so were the ranch potatoes... My Crabcake Eggs Benedict did not hit the spot for me. I've been to quite a few breakfast places, but not sure about this one. May be I'll give it another shot before I write it off. Again the atmosphere was great and so was the service. read more

This place is my favorite restaurant for brunch. I was searching for some great brunch restaurant around this area and I found this place!! Definitely I recommend this place to everyone who looking for brunch. I tried crab cake Benedict (4/5). It was so awesome and they salad was great too. Paradise Benedict(3/5)-it was great but I like crab cake Benedict more than this. Chicken bacon hamburger (3.5/5)-it was ok to me but my friend like it. We change cheese to Swiss cheese. I would recommend change cheese like us if you don't like salty. Made own omelette (4/5)-limited choice selection but I don't like vegetables so it was ok to me limited choice selection. They servings potatoes were great taste. Strawberry and banana waffle (3.5/5)-I've eating better any elsewhere before but not bad at all. If you don't like too sweet than order something else instead of this. This place coffee or orange juice were amazing. You should try!! Service(5/5)- all waiters and waitresses were super friendly. They serving so fast and every minutes they checking your table for make sure you enjoy they food. Interior(4/5)- so cute place with modern. I love this place interior. I'm new in town and high on my list of priorities has been finding good brunch spots. I went to Awake for the first time on Sunday for brunch and was very pleased with the friendly service and great food! The hostess was delightful and checked on me during my meal while she was seating others at the bar beside me (I was there alone). My waitress was also very helpful. I ordered the Denver omelet with a pancake, bacon, and ranch potatoes on the side. The omelet was large, well prepared, and tasted great, but the star of this meal were the POTATOES! Those ranch potatoes were the BOMB! I have never cared much about breakfast potatoes, but that's usually the side option I tend to go with. These potatoes were a cut above the rest as they were so flavorful and good! No offense to the rest of the meal, but the potatoes were the star of the show. I also had a mimosa and iced vanilla coffee. The iced coffee was a mistake as it tasted more like coffee flavored milk and I couldn't taste the coffee in it at all. I actually asked my waitress to bring a cup of plain coffee to try to help the iced coffee and it didn't help. I will absolutely return to Awake and highly recommend it! read more

We were in the neighborhood and looking for a breakfast place. The green juice were then highlight for me. Waffle were fluffy. Eggs cooked perfectly as requested. Food feel clean and fresh, not greasy. read more

We ended up here by accident and so thankful we did! The service was amazing, the food really good and the atmosphere friendly. I had the spinach mushroom omelette and OMG so good with the Awake hot sauce on it. The potatoes were DELICIOUS. I Can judge a whole restaurant on their breakfast potatoes. Everyone else at the table must have liked their food because we ate everything! Our waitress was even nice enough to sing Happy Birthday to my son turning 6. read more

I came in on Monday morning and it's a wonderful diverse mix of people just enjoying breakfast. They also have lunch options but they are only open for breakfast and lunch so get in here before they close at 2:30pm. SERVICE The service here was warm, friendly and efficient. Kara was kind, charming and checked on me without hovering. Their menu is full of wonderful choices of breakfast & lunch items. FOOD/DRINKS Coffee w almond milk Oatmeal (gluten free) pancake w eggs and breakfast potatoes RESTROOMS Clean, bright decor OVERALL Had a great breakfast, coffee was 3 out of 5 but food was delish! Awake looks cuter from the outside than it does inside. I felt as though the ambiance here is lacking. Definitely not a brunch place I would go to if I was going strictly for the vibes. Our server was nice and attentive though and the food was just okay. Nothing to really write about. All in all, nothing really stood out to me at Awake and I would recommend it to those who are on a mission to get a quick meal and skidaddle. This breakfast place is new right off of Arapaho and the toll way. Parking is plentiful so you wont have to worry about parking. The inside is soooo classy, clean and bright. You can get takeout or you can sit down and eat. I came with 2 other people during the weekday for breakfast and it was quiet but amazing. I ordered an egg scramble that had feta cheese and mushrooms. I loved the potatoes that came with the meal. It was light, hot and really tasty. Let's just say everyone cleaned their plates it was that good. Coffee is endless if you order some. They leave the pot on the table which is awesome. Service was good; cant complain. I will definitely be returning because this is a decent breakfast restaurant. Great job everyone! read more
Not a bad spot for a quick and early breakfast. Food: frankly, the most mid-level performance was the food. I asked for a recommendation and they suggested the Texas skillet at the most popular item. I was left wanting more than anything. Made hot, but vegetables could've been cooked a bit longer, the sausage as well (it wasn't raw but I prefer mine a tiny bit charred). English muffin was the best part of the dish having been pre-buttered and deliciously warm. Service: kind and friendly staff. I came early so don't expect much activity but they put on a smile and took good care of me. Location: easy to find off the belt line road. Lots of parking and easily identifiable with the giant egg on the front of the building. All in all: it didn't stand out to me. Not bad. Not great. Just good enough. Bout $18 meal in total without tip. May return if I'm in a rush. read more
