I came back this time with a large group of 10 during the Christmas season and we were seated in 10 mins on a busy day. Our server was fantastic. He was attentive to everyone including the kids. Everyone's meals were fantastic as well and they were extremely hot. I highly recommend coming during brunch or lunch time so you can try different food items on their menu. I've dined here quite a few times and I can definitely tell that the food quality has gone down, the lunch special I had today was extremely bland, the steak literally had zero flavor the clam chowder was mid and the Caesar salad wasn't good either. I was low-key disappointed I hate paying for bad food. My waiter was nice he was not the problem but the chef definitely needs to be talked to because the food was very mediocre. We said we had three people and were seated with plates/silverware for two, then had to ask multiple times for more silverware, even after the food had come. So disappointed. This used to be one of my favorite spots, but not anymore. I recently visited after not being there for a few years, and the experience was nothing like I remembered. The salad was dry, my sides were forgotten, and although I wasn't charged for the fries I ordered, they arrived dry and tasted like they'd been sitting out for a while. The customer service was okay, but overall the quality has changed drastically. I won't be returning. I know the Houston location has already closed, and while this place has been around for years, it's sad to see the food and business go downhill. My friend is gluten-free and tried to ask about some options because the only thing marked on the menu that says gluten-free was a cheeseburger, but they looked like they had a lot more options that would've been able to be suitable (she was trying to ask questions) and he just wasn't helpful at all and pretty much dismissive. One of the side needed seasoning and for $28, you'd hope not to have to adjust the food too much. They had green beans on the plate and they were not good at all. Came the second time with about 6 friends and it too FoooooEVER to get our food. Once of our ladies was allergic to pepper and could not eat spicy food and we found out after ordering and waiting. They said they couldn't take the pepper off the fish or most of the items because it was pre-made that that way. It is a very expensive place to eat in the variety is not that big. It is a smaller chain than cheesecake factory. They do have cheesecake as well, but they don't have as much variety. It can take a while for you to get your food. And it is pretty loud and disestablishment. Also, no Military discount. The waiter that we had was very attentive for as many people as we had. We found ourselves at the Galleria Mall, Dallas, Texas because of the Netflix Experience whilst on a Christmas break and decided to do lunch at the Grand Lux Cafe, part of the Cheese Cake Factory chain. We had previously eaten at the Grand Lux (before its closure) in Boca Raton, Florida which was a pleasant dining experience. The ambiance is good and consistent with the chain's luxury feel. The service was efficient. We had the Bento Box Steak Au Poivre and Fresh Grilled Salmon served with salads and a butternut and a cream chicken soup. The Bento meal offers an excellent and filling meal at a reasonable price. There was not a single thing that we could complain about relating to the quality of the food and service. The steak was medium rare as ordered and cooked to perfection. The fries were crispy and salads served fresh. The salmon was succulent and soups were if the best we have had in recent years. The only issue we could raise is that the soup is served with the main course which means some part of your meal is going to get cold.
