I'd have to say that I am a LOVVVVER of breakfast foods and breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. I could eat pancakes, bacon, eggs, and hash browns every time of the day if I could (and sometimes I do just that!) We were excited to try this place when it first opened and it got great business. I'd have to say the staff was nice and they did their job as best as they could, but I think they could have done better. This place was really just average for me. We were given a table to sit down at but we noticed there were a couple of booths opened, so we asked for one of those. The lady said she'd have to ask (I don't know why), but she came back and said it'd be okay. We sat down and we got our utensils and waters right away. Looking at the menu I didn't really see anything different from the other breakfast places. It was really early in the morning and i needed a cup of coffee, but for $2? I'd rather wait until I got to Starbucks to get my Americano for less than $1.50 thank you very much. The menu has a lot to offer and that's a good thing - but when you have to add on $2 for meat (which I have to say is standard) and it comes out in tiny pieces, it doesn't make me a happy early bird. These are the times I realize that I should have bought stuff at the grocery market and cooked it at home for much cheaper, with much larger portions. We ordered the Garden Frittata, Texas Skillet, and a Plain n' Simple Pancake (with bacon). I liked the food and it tasted good - but it wasn't anything to be so "OOoOo yummm" about. The portion size wasn't very big so we were actually able to finish everything and we usually don't when we order 3 dishes. Because I'm such a huge fan of breakfast, I guess I'm more picky with breakfast restaurants. . .Sorry, but I just couldn't get myself to giving this place more than 3 stars. . .perhaps a 3.5, but I do have to say the service after we were seated was nonetheless lacking. At least it's kid friendly! Where to begin? The decor is really cute, you wouldn't expect it in the little shopping center it sits in. I've gone a couple of times and each time was a different experience. It was so hot in the place the servers were at the tables sweating as they took orders which I found disgusting. My server literally had sweat falling off her face. I ordered the coffee the mugs that had been sitting on the table c were stained and dirty. The server went on to pour the coffee in the disgusting mug as if it were a common sight. The coffee was good but if you only want a cup I would not pay the almost 3 dollars per person for a cup that it cost. They only bring a very small amount of cream and the creamer dispenser was filthy. dried old creamer it looked like caked up inside of it. I can't believe they would not thow that in the trash let alone serve a customer out of it. I ordered the French Toast which was undercooked and cold. My husband had the egg plus. The toast was burnt around the corners, cold, and dripping in butter. The toast is not fresh. His eggs were dripping in oil. The potatoes were great. The service was not bad and we don't have many options in the area which was the only reason we went back. We went again a couple of a weeks later and had a wonderful server whos name is hard to remember but her smile was engaging and warm. she answered all of our questions and made us feel very welcome. I made a abrupt change in the order and she was gracious and told me no problem as she jogged back to make the change for me. The creamer decanter was actually clean and I noticed she looked in the mug assuring it was clean before she poured. We got lucky this time. I had a omelette and it was good the toast wasn't burn't. She suggested the pancake to my husband assuring him that wheat pancakes were "stealler" as she put it and it was. It was huge. I'm torn. My first experience was a nightmare but the second visit ensured that there will be a third. That will be the tie breaker. read more

Come in to this location for breakfast anytime! The staff are always friendly and professional. The food is excellent, a real treat. Courtney is wonderful, always at your table with a smile and exactly what you ordered. She even has our order memorized! Customer service is second nature to her. Have to mention Krysten, Doretta, Casey, Tiffan, Dan and Kaylee, too. They always do their best to make your time there comfortable. As far as management, you can't do better than Andy and Curtis. I have personally witnessed them handle hundreds of customers with a sincerity and friendliness unknown in the restaurant business. The whole staff at this location exemplifies a standard of service that is rarely found elsewhere. I've been going to Egg and I for 8 months now and will not go anywhere else for breakfast!
