Beware of the 75-cent surcharge on eggs! It had been a few months since I last visited this restaurant, so I decided to go for breakfast. The light rain made me hurry inside. Although some people had already noticed the egg surcharge, I had been aware of it for months. As a result of the bird flu, national chains and mom-and-pop restaurants had to pass on the higher cost of eggs to their customers instead of absorbing it themselves. While waiting at the hostess stand to be seated, I noticed that there was no signage indicating the egg surcharge. Neither was it mentioned on the table or on the printed menu. When I placed my order, my waitress did not mention it either. Only when she dropped off my check did she point to an 8x11" paper on the door that revealed the surcharge. My wife and I had a light Sunday breakfast. We had eaten here before several times and found the service very slow and inattentive with the food being subpar. We decided to give it one more try. On this visit, the service was outstanding, but the food was just OK. The surprise was after we had paid our bill, I noticed a $4 upcharge to add onions to the $11 veggie omelet. I love coming to our local Le Peep! Living close by in Austin Ranch, it's a quick drive for some good eats and great service! The service is always fast and friendly and I'm not exaggerating when I say, I CRAVE to eat here about once a week. The coffee drinks are good, I've recently tried the spring matcha specials and loved them! The food is always tasty & although I'm more of a savory breakfast gal, their sweets get me! French toast is incredible and I love that they have a new pancake of the month every month. You really can't go wrong with any of the menu items but I love their Tex-mex brunch options. The breakfast burrito always looks so good but I'm not sure I could finish it! I'll report back if I get it! Yum, yum, yum!! I came here for the first time this past weekend and I think I have found one of my new favorite little brunch spots. The food was delicious. I can't remember the exact name of the dish that was on the menu however I do know it came with an English muffin (toasted!), two eggs, three pieces of sausage (I ordered turkey sausage) and hash browns! It was a pile of food and it really filled me up! The service was good. The wait time for the food to arrive at our table was a little bit long however the food was delicious. I really enjoyed my time having brunch here and it was mostly due to Kayla (sp). She's really great at her job. She really was a joy and did a great job on her timing of checking on us. The salmon was great and I liked the cucumbers that came with it. My only complaint is that they need a better toaster and if the tomatoes are ashy and milley, don't serve them. Oh, dice the onions and you need capers but it was good just need a bit of work. Avocado toast was good but the hard boiled eggs with gray, was pretty unappetizing. Great breakfast place! The Girlfriend and I eat here on Saturday and/or Sundays quite often. The food is always excellent and the service is superb. They have great coffee and have some flavored coffees as well. I have yet to order something I didn't love, whether it was the Lumberjack (French toast and eggs), the 18-Wheeler (pancakes and eggs) or the Omni omelette (which has a better description on the new menu). The Girlfriend tends to order the lighter fare and always seems to bring half of it home - no small feat as she's 5'10" and isn't afraid to eat! Some advice: arrive early as the place is fairly wide open and can get a little loud, especially in the back room. Of course we seemed to have a few visits in a row where we were simply near loud people - nothing that the restaurant caused. Come get some great coffee and breakfast! read more

They have a dynamic menu ranging from their version of Huevos Rancheros, Classic Bacon/Eggs, to their yummy signature skillets covered with hollandaise sauce and muffin on the side(TO DIE FOR!). I have been going to Le Peeps since I was 5 and have literally ordered the same thing EVERY TIME, The Nomad! Lol!! It's always yummy and even when it was removed from the menu for a short time they still made it for me...Whaaaaa!!! They moved locations from Belt Line Rd., but kept the great food. They have a reward program too so don't be put off by the slight higher price than Waffle House! Delicious Sunday brunch with great service by Garrett. Both the BF and I ordered our fave Pancake Sandwiches - mine with the Pancake of the Month (lemon ricotta & blueberry, YUM!). My order came out perfectly as requested: egg over medium, bacon super crispy, butter on the side, warm syrup and everything else nice and hot. (Well, not the refreshing mimosa served in a lovely stemless flute.) The BF also enjoyed his blueberry pancakes and turkey sausage patty with his egg.
