This is how clean it was when I picked up the vehicle

Not a good experience. Vehicle was only minimally cleaned (see pictures) and after I extended my reservation by one day, my rate went up for the entire four days by $12 a day! Then when I returned the vehicle with a full tank of gas, (and exactly where it was when I got in the vehicle), I was told that it wasn't full enough (see pictures) so I had to go out ONE GALLON (that's all it would take) in the vehicle to avoid some more charges. The customer service representative's comment to me was "Well you should have called us and told us it wasn't all the way full when you got in the vehicle." - Well, as you can see in the pictures, it was so close to full that it wasn't worth another phone call. I was really annoyed that I had to go waste 30 minutes of my time adding one gallon of gas so they didn't charge me $9.99 a gallon when the tank was full. This is why I took pictures too before I left with the vehicle. Not going back there again. Also, after seeing the unprofessional response from the company in the reviews below, I really won't be renting from them again. Enterprise may be a little pricier but they are always professional.

Can't rent a car without a credit card is insane! Do not come here! Rent a car on Turo or at the airport.

We called ahead to set up a time later in the day to pick a car up. When we arrived we were told…read morethat because of the holidays they were out of cars and would have to get one from another location. Even though we were told this, at that time their tiny lot was completely full of cars to the extent that they were having difficulty moving them around. We ended up waiting an hour and a half for a car to arrive. The office was very cold - employees said they have no control over the temp. The whole time we were waiting, other customers were coming in to complain about their rentals and fighting extra charges they had received. When the car they were bringing finally arrived they said they needed to clean it. They gave it to us soaking wet still and smelled like marijuana smoke inside. I hope to never come back here again.

So I did and played on my phone, while my husband looked at cars. The girl that starts with a Pearl was very rude after me waiting for two persons inside at the desk and two outside on each side of me waiting in chairs went in, I then was alone. Before this A girl came out of the office and looked at me and said your neck and I said no I'm not, turned to the girl next to me and said you're next. A new person from the outside came in asked me if I was waiting to be helped and I said yes! so she sat down and waited. Pearl came out after being rude earlier and took her instead of me. I Said wait I'm next. No you're not. And Pearl took her. Inside the gentleman Ramon was very, very helpful and told me if I ever came back he would make it up to me. I assumed he was the manager, but now after talking to Adam, the manager who let him go instead of her that was the reason he didn't reprimand her front of me. I had to call back after the rental and again he was very kind and I did make a review on the Hertz app. I waited to make this one so I could be calm and I had other things more important. This girl besides taking her first when I told her inside the office again you know I came first , she just laughed and said no you weren't. I turned to the other girl and I said you know I was here first and they both giggled. I don't know if they knew each other. And it had already been a bad day, so I didn't need her attitude, but I didn't yell and I didn't cuss good for me. More giggles, but not important. Again, When I left all I could say was shame on you, but that's our new generation. The girl sitting there knew I was first also. Shame on both of them No wonder though you have a two star. You let the guy who could keep a customer calm and explain things very nicely and a girl who could laugh and preferred to wait on a young girl like herself or who she knew I don't know instead, makes no sense but again that's probably why you have a two star rating, Mr. Adam. Best of luck to Hertz rental. I don't know that I will ever come back. State Farm referred me to enterprise and I chose once again to pick Hertz, but this is how I was treated. Maybe that's why State Farm recommends enterprise cause they're better ?? funny part is when I rented the car the girl that waited on me, we'll the phone kept ringing so she took it off the hook few time after hanging it up and finally set it on the counter. No wonder you can't get through to them most times on the phone either.

Their only suggestion was to go to the Indiana location and hopefully they will have a car available. My mom agreed to that, but then they stated she should call customer service first. Absolutely ridiculous! There are cars on site, but they are for other reservations or Uber, so they are not options for us apparently. Instead we wait around and our plans get further behind schedule due to poor supply and overall management of the reservations.

The guy there was absolutely awful, so old and rude to everyone, and wore a backwards LA cap.Tried marking up their online quote by $50.00 so I just booked online. He demanded I give him my insurance policy number when I declined his insurance, which no rental agency ever does. Then, continues to try and push selling his crap car rental insurance, despite his horrendous attitude and angry miserable face. Then, doesn't list all the scratches, dents, damages I see on the vehicle. He said just if it's major. I told him I'm going to take a video and pictures of this vehicle so you don't charge me for this. He said yea that's fine. Car smelled like smoke when I got in, and it was filthy inside and out. I don't think it was cleaned after the last person rented it. I only went here because enterprise was out of cars, and I couldn't make it to the airport car rentals which are always a better experience. I will exclusively go to airport rentals from now on.

HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND…read more I reserved a Nissan Rogue or Similar vehicle on APRIL 16, 2025 for a pick-up on MAY 22, 2025 9am at Moreno Valley, CA to return to Oceanside, CA May 23, 2025 9am. I come to the office[difficult to locate BTW, since they just rented out a small office INSIDE a Dodger dealership. I arrived at 8:55am [already checked-in online at 8am BTW to pick-up at 9am]. Ramon and Crystal were the customer service reps at the desk. I dealt with Crystal. Apparently, they didn't have the vehicle I reserved and Ramon attempted to offer a Tesla or a Jeep. However, I requested a Nissan Rogue or similar because I have a car seat, stroller and about 7 luggages. If I wanted a smaller vehicle or a "luxury" vehicle I would've reserved the vehicle. After they realized it would be a one-way rental, they didn't want to offer a jeep[which they said would be an upgrade, but I didn't want that, as the cargo space would be small]. Crystal had blatantly mentioned usually they don't rent-out vehicles they don't want to lose from one-way rentals[I don't think she was supposed to say this casually]. Anyways, a lady comes in to drop-off a vehicle. Crystal and Ramon was glad as apparently it would be the vehicle they will provide to me. I thought it would be THE Nissan Rogue or Similar I reserved. I waited for approx 20 mins as they need to wash the vehicle[Crystal didnt even mention this, i had to ask if they were washing the vehicle and only then they mentioned it] Btw-i didn't ask the type of vehicle, as I figured it be the Rogue or Similar. After that approx 20 mins wait, Crystal walked me to the vehicle and it was a Trailblazer. I told Crystal, this vehicle is too small to fit the car seat, stroller and 7 luggages. Crystal said it is the same class, cargo etc. I told her, I know the difference between a Rogue and this trailblazer as I have driven/rented a Rogue before. I told her, just refund me the rental. We go back to the office, and Ramon wanted to see the email reservation. I showed it to him. He proceeded to educate me how the Trailblazer is under the same class as the Rogue. In my mind, don't educate me, as I know the difference in regards to the cargo space etc. I didn't want to argue, so I just nodded and waited until they refund me. Crystal texted someone from the higher-up, I guess because they couldn't cancel it on their end, apparently. Ramon mentioned, they will cancel it on their end and I could leave as it would take a while. Again, this was around 9am-10am. I left, and around 1pm, I received an email from Hertz saying I picked up the vehicle and to return the vehicle on the reserved details. I called corporate/customer service and Vina told me my rental was never cancelled and apparently, Ramon and Crystal NEVER CANCELLED MY RESERVATION. Vina was kind enough to cancel the reservation. This is approximately at 2pm on the same-day. So, even if you reserve MORE THAN a MONTH in advance for a vehicle you CLEARLY WANT, they will provided these options to you on the day of: [A] 'luxury' (tesla) to appeal you [B] a clearly smaller type of vehicle that you know is TOTALLY DIFFERENT from the vehicle you CLEARLY reserved and TRULY wanted. I know my vehicles and I don't respect that fact that they attempted to give me a damn Trailblazer and explaining/educating it is the same as a Rogue. GTFO. DO NOT DEAL WITH HERTZ...AT LEAST with this location and people. ON A GREAT NOTE, I went to ENTERPRISE in Banning, CA[few mins away] and the Assistant rental manager[Brooke] provided a Rogue and CHEAPER PRICE upon reserving and arrival AT THE LOCATION. Check my review on their page for this! AGAIN- DO NOT RENT WITH THIS HERTZ location. And if you cancel your reservation, and if Ramon or Crystal said they will cancel on their end, please call The corporate/customer service to confirm.

At 80 years old, Sam is as incredible as you can imagine--kind, energetic, and an absolute joy to meet. When I arrived at the branch, I met Destiny at the front desk. Despite being busy with four customers ahead of me, she greeted everyone with a big smile and a warm, pleasant attitude that instantly put me at ease. Andrea then helped me finalize my rental. She was an angel--equally professional, patient, and friendly throughout the process. Every person I interacted with at this location was both professional and genuinely welcoming.
