I went in to rent a car as I usually do from Hertz. We arrived at Hertz came in. The girl was coming out of the office and I said I'm here to return her car and she said well you'll have to sit and wait just like everyone else there's a lot here. So I did and played on my phone, while my husband looked at cars. The girl that starts with a Pearl was very rude after me waiting for two persons inside at the desk and two outside on each side of me waiting in chairs went in, I then was alone. Before this A girl came out of the office and looked at me and said your neck and I said no I'm not, turned to the girl next to me and said you're next. A new person from the outside came in asked me if I was waiting to be helped and I said yes! so she sat down and waited. Pearl came out after being rude earlier and took her instead of me. I Said wait I'm next. No you're not. And Pearl took her. Inside the gentleman Ramon was very, very helpful and told me if I ever came back he would make it up to me. I assumed he was the manager, but now after talking to Adam, the manager who let him go instead of her that was the reason he didn't reprimand her front of me. I had to call back after the rental and again he was very kind and I did make a review on the Hertz app. I waited to make this one so I could be calm and I had other things more important. This girl besides taking her first when I told her inside the office again you know I came first , she just laughed and said no you weren't. I turned to the other girl and I said you know I was here first and they both giggled. I don't know if they knew each other. And it had already been a bad day, so I didn't need her attitude, but I didn't yell and I didn't cuss good for me. More giggles, but not important. Again, When I left all I could say was shame on you, but that's our new generation. The girl sitting there knew I was first also. Shame on both of them No wonder though you have a two star. You let the guy who could keep a customer calm and explain things very nicely and a girl who could laugh and preferred to wait on a young girl like herself or who she knew I don't know instead, makes no sense but again that's probably why you have a two star rating, Mr. Adam. Best of luck to Hertz rental. I don't know that I will ever come back. State Farm referred me to enterprise and I chose once again to pick Hertz, but this is how I was treated. Maybe that's why State Farm recommends enterprise cause they're better ?? funny part is when I rented the car the girl that waited on me, we'll the phone kept ringing so she took it off the hook few time after hanging it up and finally set it on the counter. This location shares the building with the adjacent Pepboys business. Like any other place the earlier you come the better off you'll be. The process of renting the car is simple and straightforward. The manager Geraldo helped me from start to finish & was great at it. Unfortunately it seems he's understaffed for this location & the business needs to be updated seeing how much foot traffic comes through. This isn't something to hold against the people working at this location but against corporates lack of commitment support their employees & overall care about their customers This location would be a 4 or 5 star location but the lack of employees, extended wait time & a much needed remodeling / upgrade brings it down to a solid 3 stars read more

I had a good experience:) I reserved in advance, I came in after I made the reservation online to make sure everything was good to go and there wouldn't be any surprises. The guys that worked there were very welcoming and made me feel comfortable. The day I picked up the car they sent me a Lyft within a reasonable amount of time and the check in process was smooth and quick. I had the car for almost two weeks it ran well, got good gas mileage, and had all the amenities you would expect in a new car. Decided to try them out second time asked for a small car due to gas mileage and I was going to be driving a lot they ran out of cars and was going to give me a large car (upgrade they called it) I told them nevermind cancelled my reservation and used my personal car. Very small office! My family and I waited an hour and half before getting attended. During that time I overheard several people getting turned away, because they had to no vehicles available. After 5 mins of driving the veh that they assigned to me. ( not the one I reserved) I had to return the veh because it extremely pulled to the right!!! So we got a quote online for $384 for a Nissan rogue. We called the 1-888 before we went in the lady confirmed the price and that the vehicle was in stock. We went to the location to pick up the car and Kieth was working behind the counter. The price he said he could do was $496. When we showed him are quote and explained how we called in advance as well he just shrugged and said it is what it is. We left with out getting a vehicle and decided to use turo app instead. Unfortunately, I will no longer be doing business at Hertz. I am an AAA member and get a discount with them, which is one of the main reasons I rented from them. Got a great deal on an SUV for 4 days for $165 online!! Then, here was the kicker. I put insurance on it to be safe and prepaid for a fuel tank. The gentleman helping me never gave me a price for the insurance and just charged my card. When returning my car, I was informed the insurance on it was $357. Makes no sense why insurance was way more than the car. Total I ended up paying $588, which wasn't a good deal at all. When calling the billing department to get clarification of my charges, the lady was not helpful. Three stars because every time I rent a car (because of some idiot that crashes into me I need a rental car for school and work) I always have great customer service. The people are always helpful and nice. However, this isn't just about the specific location, I hate that Hertz charges $29 a day for the insurance. I only get it because it seems like I have bad luck of people hitting me lol. It's just annoying because anytime I have to issue a rental with Hertz I'm having to drop $170+. Moreno Valley Hertz turned our family vacation into the worst vacation ever! Car was leaking a fluid, while 20 of us were driving up a mountain road. Princess, the assistant manager, was extremely rude. She told us the only option was to drive to a Hertz 6 hours away from the vacation spot to get a new rental vehicle... only to then drive 12 hours to get back home the next day. Ridiculous. She didn't issue a refund, a free day, or anything.. she offered to "extend the rental an additional day". What a joke! Oh, it got worse. We arrived at the Hertz 6 hours away from us and they said "we haven't gotten a call from anyone and don't have a 8 seater vehicle available". We drove 6 hours for absolutely no reason. We had to get a 5 seater, and still find out a way to get the other 3 family members back home! Princess couldn't even call the location to see if they had the vehicle! Princess, Hertz, and their call center was completely unprofessional. Princess is a joke for an "assistant manager". Hertz, take responsibility for your damaged vehicles, don't make your customers go out of their way on their vacation because you don't have a reliable product!! I have to start by saying the customer service was great. The people at the desk were very helpful. Overall, the quality of our car was okay but we had one issue... it reeked of cigarette smoke. I couldn't even tell because I have such a horrible cold and my nose is stuffed up. However, when my roommate got in the car for our 6 hour drive up to Northern CA, she was having a really hard time with the smell. On top of it she has horrible asthma so it just made her miserable. Even I began to smell it and have a hard time. We didn't have enough time to go back and get a new car, so we grabbed an air freshener and tried to make the best of it. Honestly, the car was great. We got upgraded for free which was nice for our family of 4 driving to San Fran on vacation. Now for the bad part the customer service is terrible here. When we went to pick up the car there were two people working. One behind the counter doing contracts and one lady getting the keys and checking out the cars. It took us an hour just to get our car. I was excited for our vacation so really it didnt bother me much but I thought it was weird. The car worked great for us with nice features and extras. When we go to return the car after a week. My whole entire view of this place changed. My husband got there about 5 mins before me because I was putting gas in the rental to return. There was a man sitting outside the office with no hertz identification what so ever. Not a shirt or name tag NOTHING he asked my husband if he was returning a car and he said yes just waiting for my wife. So when I got there the guy asked me for the key. I handed him the key but then told my husband we should probably go ask if it was supposed to go to him because he had no identification. We walked into the tiny office with a simple question and right away got laughed at and made fun of because "we should have asked before giving the key to him" my thought well can u just answer the question because if not he is still in the parking lot and we can stop him. Instead of answering the simple question the ridicule and being made fun of lasted another 3-5 mins between worker behind the counter and other customer picking up a car before our question was just answered. At this point my husband was frustrated and understandably a little upset that we had just been laughed in our faces at and not even just a funny joke just ridiculed and asked can u just tell us how to return the car so we can go and walked outside. I stood at the counter for another 5 mins being completely ignored by the worker behind the counter before finally speaking up and saying so what do I need to do. When he finally decided to apparently not ignore me anymore and give me my receipt. The car was great. It was a waste of time waiting here and the vehicle they're renting out smells like there's been a body rotting inside when you turn on the AC and there's a thick white liquid on the back seat like God knows what it is! The next vehicle that they changed on us after a couple hours of wait had an alarming brake issue and we were in the middle of the desert to find another Hertz rental? Well, this location isn't even well marked. It's inside Pep Boys, that's the 23470! The bathroom is filthy, there's no sink to wash hands after you do your business and there's no trash can ! I know the staff tried their best to deliver customer service but please try harder? It's pathetic because Hertz has reputation and this branch is not helping ! This has been the worst rental experience I've had. I wish I could rate negative stars but I digress. From the moment my courtesy ride never showed up to returning the vehicle, it has been truly a nightmare. Manager Keith is incompetent and exactly why some people aren't cut out for customer service. I asked how can we remedy the fact that my courtesy ride never showed up and he said they couldn't do anything and a courtesy ride is just a courtesy. In addition to poor customer service, I was charged and extra two days and he said that there isn't anything he can about it. Area manager Shane Halle is probably a ghost because I've tried calling several times and left voicemails and no answer/call back. Lastly, I got the car with 3 quarters of a tank and when I returned the vehicle, the gas tank was full. I was told I would not be reimbursed for it. Horrible service! Reserved a 4 door sedan 3 weeks in advance and when I arrived to pick up the car, they didnt have any available. They tried to offer me an upgrade to a Dogde Ram v8 truck, which is not practical for travel at all. I needed a 4 door sedan to travel economically. The staff did not try to accomodate us or issue any type of refund when it was not our fault they didnt have the vehicle we chose. I understand no refunds on cancellation or no show, but when it's the place of business's fault they should at least refund you. Decided to rent here because its closer to home and I wouldnt have to return the car 45 minutes back to ontario airport, but it seems like the trip back to ontario is more worth it than having an unreliable place to rent a car. However, after almost 2 hours of waiting and going back and forth with the staff, we finally got a 4 door sedan, which put us behind schedule 2 hours. Several people that came to rent a car left with trucks instead of their 4 door sedan choice as well, and some left with no car and no refund. Seems like they just want to rent their trucks off for some reason, when its obvious most people want 4 door sedans. I do not reccomend this place at all for rental unless you dont mind driving a v8 gas guzzling truck. Just horrible business! read more

We reserved a car online, when we showed up, the lady looked at us and stated, "we ain't got no full size" but she did offer us a wonderful economy size vehicle that obviously would not work for my family of 4. We came down and were told they gave away the last car and to refund they don't do it we have to do it online and will take 24 to 48 hours. And there's no cars anywhere else so, sorry. So I've been renting a car here for the past five months. I'm not sure what exactly change with management, but the service and full staff has been excellent! I've never been in and out in less than five minutes, but these past two months have been absolutely amazing and one of the best experiences I've had thus far as any Hertz location. Idell (spell ) helped me out for the past few visits and she has certainly did a great job of getting me in and out with excellent customer service. Sad to say this will be my last month renting because I'm finally getting a car of my own however all of my future rentals will be here at this location. I was in a time crunch and it being a Friday night my options were limited. The staff was nothing but helpful and promised to get me a rental no matter what. The absolute WORST customer service! After having AAA make a reservation for 9am on Saturday morning for me since I had to drop my only car off at the body shop for repairs, I had to wait over an hour for them to pick my 3 year old and me up, then there was another 2 hour wait at the Hertz location. Never once did the 2 guys that were working great us or provide an inkling of customer service. Once we FINALLY got to the counter, after they ran my credit card, they said they couldn't rent to me, and shrugged their shoulders as they have me a corporate number to call. Corporate of course is closed on the weekends. And these two guys looked at me and said there was nothing they could do and refused to call the manager when asked to do so. I had to wait on hold with AAA for another 20 minutes and explain how I was now stranded with my 3 year old as Hertz refused to rent to me. Thank God AAA was immediately able to reserve a car at Enterprise for me and we were picked up & taken care of within 20 minutes! We will NEVER use Hertz ever again! The Hertz Ontario rental office near the airport leave much to be desired! They are rude and have very poor customer service! They don't listen to their customers and instead try to sell more stuff. My parents had reservations for a rental and instead of just issuing the car they continually tried to sell them insurance and upgrades, which my parents continually stated were not interested. Had trouble finding the location while navigation continued to say that it was in a Pep Boys shop. Besides the trouble with location, it is a small and local rent shop. I had to find a decent car for a road trip. The first car that I reviewed smelled like carcass. I don't know if they clean they're rent- a cars. The second car that I viewed had broken vents for the ac. I do please that they should consider maintaining the cars.
