If I could give this place zero stars I would... shady paperwork upon arrival. There are more professional establishments nearby

I'll start off by saying the people working there are friendly. The way they do business, however, is rather shady. My credit was ran 3 times after what I authorized which dropped my credit score. I also wasn't told my credit score before the test drive which I asked for a couple of times. I wasted my time and $50 or so in Uber fees dealing with this place. Stay far away. There's other dealerships nearby. read more

If I could give this place 0 starts I would! I flew to Texas from Vegas to pick up a car i already put a down payment on and drive it back to Vegas. A week later - I get phone calls that I need to sign additional paperwork even though everything had been signed and I had proof. About a month later - I find out they never submitted a loan application to the lien holder and since have threatened me and bullied me to give the car back instead of securing a new lien holder as promised! I returned the car with the promise of getting my down payment back and since have been blocked. They also went behind my back and began calling the co-signer to avoid recorded calls! The sales team member Dio Zorrilla is the biggest scam artist of all! When you call the office phone - you get a completely different company! I will be suing them for all that has been lost and the stressful mental capacity they have put me under!! Never buy a car from this place or from Dio! read more

Initially, I was very happy with the service we received at Avis. They were very helpful when it came to working with my husband and I to get a loan approved. The general manager had a lot of personality. There are 2 reasons I'm leaving a 1 star review. My first problem is that we did not drive the vehicle on the highway during the test drive (our fault) but once we drove the car home it wobbles horribly over 55. It feels like the wheels are going to fall off. My 2nd problem is, not even a week after purchasing our vehicle the back window shattered before our eyes. My 2 year old son was in the back seat on the side of the shattered window and there was glass all over him and he was absolutely horrified. Thankfully he was not hurt. The window was not cracked or "broken" into like Charles Williams suggested. We didn't hit the window or anything. That is very concerning for anyone not just because we have children. Glass could've gotten in our sons eyes but apparently the window is not a safety feature. We ended up going back to Avis to fix the wobbling and broken window. Well, they would not cover the window that shattered all over my son (super frustrating) But said they would fix whatever was causing the car to wobble. They ended up giving us two new tires (supposedly) but when we drove home the car is still very much wobbly and now we're stressed trying to take the car to an actual dealership to find out what's wrong. Praying it's not the transmission or anything serious. I don't believe I should be taking a car that I purchased a week ago to a mechanic. Especially when this appeared to be a reputable car lot. This is one of the biggest purchases people make after a house. You want security knowing that a vehicle is going to last. Reliable transportation is everything especially in Houston. Having a great personality as a car salesman means nothing if customers can't trust you. Everyone was all in our faces and excited when we purchased the car but we waited an hour for Charles Williams to come out of his office just to speak with us. Lloyd the car salesman acted as if we didn't exist and he had no idea what was going on. Shiesty! DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. Also there is a burn in the back seat that Charles said we could come back and get fixed. We'LOL see if he keeps his word about that. read more

The good news! Go to Roscoe for your sales consultant. Roscoe was easy to work with, personable and helped me drive my rent-a-car back. The prices at AVIS is very reasonable compared to other large used car dealerships. Five stars go to Roscoe. Look at your financial contract carefully. There was a charge that was not discussed earlier. I pointed it out, the charge was removed. ** 1/2 stars for that misstep. The whole visit including financing and returning my rent-a-car back took about two hours. read more

Bought grand-daughters a Mustang there. Staff helpful with financing. Very smooth process.

First time I made a reservation to look at a car for purchase, I made arrangements to be there, but they did not have the car. Gave them another chance. However, they did not give me the car that was reserved, but one that had almost 3,000 miles more on it, with multiple dings and scratches. Said that since they (Tresl) were a third party seller, they could not reduce the price on account of the extra miles. And they wanted to charge a several hundred dollar fee since we were paying cash. And since the place we picked it up is closed until Monday, they want to charge us rent. I would strongly recommend against doing business with this company. Too many bad surprises. read more

First tried ultimate test drive Avis cancelled, said the car was not turned in. Ok, so we drive 6 hours to the car lot to see and drive the cars we were looking at. Test drove 2 (not one car had been cleaned or sanitized for covid safety) decided on a car. Talking to another customer while waiting she had the same cancelation call from Avis, car not returned. Sit down to do paperwork. Salesperson can't print our docs. Then proceeds to tell us they don't take cash and gives us a salvage price for our trade in! Won't ever deal with them again. Buyer beware! read more

My experience may not reflect other people's experiences here, but I bought a car back in January and it looked great, drove great and I took it home the same day because I was impressed. Staff was friendly and everything. Three months later, I accidentally hit a curb and needed to replace a part on my back bumper - oopsies. When I went to the auto body shop, the head repairman who had 20+ yrs of experience pulled me over to the side and said my back bumper didn't have the same paint color code as the rest of the car - suggesting the car had been in a accident leading to the bumper to be replaced. It frightened me that the dealership did not think this was important enough to disclose and I thought about if they've been doing this to many customers before me. It was already 3 months after I drove off the lot so there was really nothing I could do.... so, I continued with the repair. Later, and thinking back at how stupid I was for not checking this when I was first bought the car - my car key battery died. I used both of the physical keys Avis Car Sales gave me and NONE of them opened the doors - Was the car in an accident and the door needed to be replaced too?? I have been calling Avis but cannot get an explanation. I also got my warranty papers wet and I can NEVER get ahold of the financial manager who has all the paperwork as no one else in the building can help me. I almost forgot. Two weeks after I bought the car, someone in the office who had no business going into my file (a completely different sales rep other than the woman I had originally worked with) had accidentally canceled my license plate. I didn't know until I got pulled over by the police and was told that I was driving with an expired paper plate. Luckily he let me off with a warning. I'm not sure if will go back unless they are willing to be more open about the history of the car. I will also be sure to ask more questions if I do - I can admit that was a mistake made on my end. read more

Awful car buying experience! Arranged to pick up a car to test drive with the intention of purchasing it if all went well. I live more than an hour's drive from where I was scheduled to pick up the car. The pick up location was in downtown Baltimore at a mediocre hotel that charged me $30 to park my own car. The hotel had no air-conditioning during a heat wave as I sat and waited for the car that never showed up! In addition, Avis patrons were not allowed to use the hotel bathrooms! I did call ahead as recommended to confirm the car was on site before leaving my house and was told it would be there within 10 minutes. I called again from the road about halfway there and was told 10 more minutes. When I arrived at the Avis counter at the hotel, I was told "10 more minutes." I spoke with the customer service rep assigned to my rental/purchase case who was in Texas and was told "10 more minutes." I finally gave up after 1.5 hours of waiting in that awful, hot lobby with no restroom to use. Upon checking their inventory online at that point, I saw that they removed the listing. I believe they sold the car earlier and were pulling a bait-and-switch to find a similar car with the hopes I would purchase a different one. Never ever will I use Avis for a rental or purchase! read more

I do not recommend buying a car from this dealership. I was told repeatedly that the car I bought had not been in an accident and shown a clean carfax report with no accidents. The salesman said that Avis doesn't sell cars that have been in accidents and that the car I was purchasing had not been in an accident. I was denied routine maintenance service at the Nissan dealership because of damage to the car at the front right side of the car. I spent time and money to research the car history and found out that the car had been in an accident in 2023 at the location that the dealership said there was damage on the car. The car was in the Avis fleet and an accident report was found so how did Avis not know that the car had been in an accident. I reached out to the Avis Car sales dealership and salesman to discuss a remedy to this situation. The salesman hangs up on my calls and the dealership won't return my calls. I would stay far away from this dealership and no buy cars from them. I will be taking further legal action to resolve this manner. I am unsure why Avis would not have disclosed that this car had been in an accident. Very disappointed with how Avis is handling this issue. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY OR ENERGY HERE! This dealership had their Internet Sales Consultant, Christian Spiers, lie to me over the phone. This was multiple times over a couple of days about the availability and price of variety of Ford SUVs on their lot. Cancelled the appointment because I want an HONEST dealership. If you are looking for a dealership that wants to take advantage of you then this is the one. AVOID Christian Spiers is the best advice I can give. They will likely comment on this review saying something along the lines of, the vehicles you were looking at were determined to have a manufacturer's safety recall which needed to be repaired prior to being available for sale. Unfortunately they just increased the price of the car and put it back on the lot the next day after being told they nor the manufacturer knew how to fix the recall. They just wanted to sell the car for more money. read more

Worse experience and very stressful!! I test drove several vehicles there of the same kind (KIA Sorento) first one was ok second one brakes did not work and the were heating up and the inside smelled burnt from the unsafe test drive. We told the sales person how dangerous that was and he said (Scott) it can't be because we do a 60 point check and all are vehicles are completely safe and reliable. I looked at all the grey Kia's inside and out and they all had the back screens and net in them where the tire jack goes in which I was pleased to know they had it. I ended up purchasing one of the grey ones that was priced the highest because supposedly it was just in. One month later I still don't have the plates and a statement for payments. I called multiple times a day for several days. They don't answer, put me on hold, or gave me the run around. I finally get an email from their manager and I take advantage and email him back with all my issues and he never replied. I finally speak with a new manager Charles Williams he apologized and says he was sent there to correct all their issues and fired several employees. He says I have to go back and redo all the paperwork and miss work again. He also promised me if I went back he would have the screen for me. I go back sign paperwork and no screen and he (Williams) doesn't have the decency to come out of his office to tell me why. Two months later my paper plates expired and can't get in touch with anyone again. I finally speak with Sandra who handles plates and she wants me to drive 1 hour without traffic to pick them up or she can email them to me. (I don't have access to a printer) And they said if I get a ticket they are not responsible for the ticket. And furthermore they have been rude to me each time I ask for help with their mistakes and before I purchased my vehicle they were very sweet and kind. Purchased February 5, 2021 and today is April 14, 2021 I will post update what is the end result. Hope this helps you! read more

The cars are good, but the customer service was HORRIBLE. We were told we would get two keys for the car while looking, but they only gave one after the purchase. We were told we would receive our license plate in 4-6 weeks. That was 5 months ago. They haven't filed for it and only give us temporary ones which expire monthly. They were incredibly rude and inconsiderate. This was most of the sales associate along with the main manager who was sarcastic and started mocking us for asking questions. While sitting in their office, we also heard most of the salesman insulting potential customers out in the lot who were looking for cars. I know car salesmen are generally shady, but this was too much. DO NOT BRING YOUR KIDS OR TEENS TO THE SALES LOT. Really toxic environment. The cars are cheap, but the headache you recieve with it is not worth it. read more

These people should not be in business. We couldn't even get people to respond to us to buy the car, and then once we did and they had our money, forget about getting the documents and getting them correct! They go through a 3rd party even if you're not financing, so you have no contact at Avis itself. They hide behind this 3rd party. Plus they charge fees that no other dealer charges. They don't provide them upfront either. Avoid this company. read more

Short story the car was fine the office is terrible. Long story: They sold me a vehicle that wasn't registered properly then insisted I bring it to their office to get inspected. (I live an hour away) Then my car totaled and I needed to cancel my extended warranty. There is literally one guy that can do this. This guy doesn't have a boss and corporate can't or won't help. It's been 7 months and after going to his office and standing over him he finally processed my paper work ... the wrong way. He never did it because he didn't know how to use his software. So he's just been Willy Nilly sending paper work to an email that used to work. But he didn't even do that until today after 7 months of calling. Oh and they don't answer the phone, they screen your number if you call too often and they don't return messages. I've sat on hold multiple times for 30+ minutes just to be hung up on. So if you do buy your car here I hope they get everything right the first time and you never need the office to help you. read more

After sales is TERRIBLE. Test drive not much better. We were looking for a car for my daughter and went to collect the car for a test drive and booked to pick it at 2 pm, which turned out to be the time they closed, and which we were not notified about. The test drive was 2 hours. The young man in the location was cocky, rude and incredibly disrespectful. I asked him what we were supposed to do about returning the car after the test drive and he said we would have to return it to the airport-27 miles away! I asked how we were supposed to get back and he essentially said that was our problem. We left, but returned another day because my daughter loved the car and we were serious about buying it. Long story short, we do an extended test drive and keep the car. There's a second key that is promised to us. All paperwork done and it takes two months for them to send us the second key. They say it can't be done any faster. We are now almost three months post sale and still do not have license plates or registration. I emailed and called numerous times. They say there's a back up at DMV/DPS. I bought another vehicle after this one and had my plates in 2-3 weeks, so I know the issue doesn't lie with DMV. Bottom line- staff at this location were condescending and cocky. After sales is nonexistent- 2 months to get a key that was in their possession the entire time is ridiculous. Three months without receiving registration and plates even more so. read more

This car dealership is a complete joke. Dan is a great manager and helped us with our car sale and the experience was great. Fast forward to three months later, I still haven't gotten my license plates and I'm currently driving with a expired temporary license plates. I called and spoke to a VERY rude lady named Monica. I kindly asked for her name because she was so rude and she yelled at me and said she knows her rights. Obviously she was scared to give her name because she knew she had been extremely rude. She hung up in my face after she refused to give her name. She even told her co workers to refuse giving her name. I called many times and they all hung up on my face. This wasn't the first occasion that they've been extremely rude on the phone. I called and finally Medger Pierre the finance guy told me I could get a copy of the email he sent so I can get my license plates, why he's doing it three months after I bought my car beats me. When I get there because I was scared of how rude Monica had been on the phone, I had my phone recording in case she verbally attacks me in person. Low and behold she comes in my personal space for no reason at all yelling and screaming like a lunatic calling me a B****, mind you there are other customers in the waiting room while she's doing that. I politely asked her to reframe from entering my personal space and she yells I work here and can do whatever I want. I'm literally appalled, I spent money at this dealership and was treated horribly. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL. They cuss you out after you purchase your car and they don't do the proper paperwork for a tags/license plates until you pressure them. I will be filing a complaint with the DMV. read more

I purchased a vehicle from this place last Thursday. So far its been a bad experience. The sales person, Christian, was professional and helpful, but everything else has been bad. I paid cash for the vehicle, but was told to come back the next day to sign the paperwork b/c the finance guy was out. So I went back the next day and had to wait a while to sign the paperwork. The manager and the finance person told me two different stories on why I had to wait so long. The finance person was very rude and just told me to sign a pile of paperwork w/out going over anything unless I asked questions. Once I got home I realized the paperwork that he gave me was only what I signed w/out a signature from them. It was a very unprofessional experience. Then while driving the vehicle the evening I brought it home there was a loud noise coming from the right side of the vehicle when I made right turns. I took it to the Toyota dealership near me and they were able to fix the problem thankfully. They also told me that the drivers side door was missing the key cylinder that you put the key in. There is only an open hole in the door handle. I didn't notice it b/c I normally don't use it. I called the salesperson to let him know on Monday and he said that he will get with his manager. Today is Wed and I have yet to hear anything. If the battery dies I will be stuck. I also find it odd that I only got one key and no floor mats. This has been a bad car buying experience for me and I don't plan on getting another vehicle there again. Update a month later: so far the salesperson, Christian Roscoe, has not returned my messages/texts. He told me that the manager, Charles, would contact me and that never happened. Still don't have a key lock cylinder on my door. I received the title to the vehicle I purchased through them, but they haven't contacted me about the plates (they told me they would mail them). The DMV told me that Avis should have received them a couple weeks ago. This is the most unprofessional experience I have encountered when purchasing a vehicle. read more

STAY AWAY!! They are crooks. They claim that all cars have a 170-point inspection. The following are just a few of the problems with the vehicle that they clam would not pass there inspection: 1) Tires will have 5/32"+ of tread: It's a lie. Two tires had 2/32", the other two, one of which was FLAT, had 4/32" of thread. They REFUSED to honor their policy and change the tires. They only wanted to replace the flat ONE. 2) ALL tires will match: When we forced them to replace two tires, instead of just one, they picked cheaper lower-rated tires. Thus, they do not match. They should have replaced all four, per their policy. 3) Alignment would be correct: Lie. The alignment was off and they REFUSED to fix it. 4) Filters would be clean, replaced if dirty: Lie. Filters were dirty and they REUSED to replace them. 5) No stains on the upholstery: There were a few, and they did not clean it at all. They agreed to removed scratches all over the car--in writing--and they did no such thing. They said they would buff the car to fix paint chips; they didn't do that either. They should be sued for breach of contract and false advertising! These cars are poorly maintained, and have 2 to 3 times the average number of miles for a year old vehicle. The staff is pompous, arrogant, and all too willing to argue with you instead of fixing any problems. A $3 bill has more credibility than they do. I was in Atlanta from SC for an event and found a car online. Talked to them for a week before going and everything seemed set. We had several phone calls and text to confirm the pick up and how the process would work. There were a few issues with changing the pick up time, but that was worked out. During those contacts I gave them my info including drivers license and insurance. Once going to the rental location to pick up the car I was on the phone with the sales department and they informed me that since I was from another state they could not sell me the car because of titling. Even after checking with a manager they came back with the same answer. No explanation could be given. First, why wasn't this disclosed from the very start? Second, I don't understand! If I pay for the car, why can't Avis send me the title for registration in my state? Lots of wasted time for me and for them. read more
