My rental vehicle has been removed from my account leaving me unable to earn a living tonight.

This F'ing place and the people who work here are a huge pain in the d**k I call to pay my weeks bill so I can keep my Uber app active and earn some money and am told they do not mess with anything Uber related after 5. Great! They're not going to charge me today, I'll over my money to savings til early tomorrow am. Apparently, they can and do mess with Uber related matters after 5pm. They cut my app off and I'm unable to earn any money so that I am able to afford the $350 a week payment for this rental car. $1400 a month car note.... I can't afford to lose a night of work. That's at least $200 Lin lost wages for the night. Thank yall so much for the misinformation. Yall really bent me over and did me dirty.

Avis Uber rental in Austin can't be used for rental in Austin

Rented from this location as a Uber Rental. Should have cancelled when email confirmation from Avis provided wrong location and phone number for the rental. (Austin has only one location for Uber Rentals). Couldn't believe all the dents. This 2019 Nissan Sentra had over 50,000 miles and it showed. The dash was reporting it was 2.500 miles past due for an oil change. Brakes didn't seem to work too well and made noise - after going down a steep hill and brakes barely stopping car I checked brake fluid and reservoir was empty so I had to purchase brake fluid. When adding brake fluid I checked oil - it needs to be changed. The engine compartment was filthy and the battery terminals were all corroded. The car had out of state plates and wasn't even put in the system for use in Austin, went nearly 60 hours (2 1/2 days of car being unable to be used on Uber and neither local Avis, Avis toll free customer service or Uber wanted to provide ANY compensation. I had asked for rental to be extended at least two days at no charge and answer was no. The gas gauge is off too so got hit with $40 for about 2 gallons of gas. I do not recommend Avis for Uber to anyone.

Great rental company. We rented a Chrysler Town and Country Minivan for our trip to Colorado from this location. We didn't want to put the 2500 miles of mountain driving on our transmission. I did a little research on cost, and they came up the cheapest at $59.99 per day. The car itself was clean and odor free, and the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Kamilah, the owner/operator.

I was not checked on very often, and so I would have ordered a second glass of wine if I had been asked. I held on to my trash for probably an hour before being able to dispose of it. I know this is a first world problem, but when you spend this much on a one-way ticket, you do expect the luxury that they advertise. I'll have to think twice about doing this again.

Some context: I arrived at the Austin airport on Thanksgiving after a red eye. The Budget counter…read morewas closed, and I was redirected to Avis. They gave me an electric car because it was the only car they had available, even though I had a reservation for something else. I told them how uncomfortable I was driving the car - I'd never driven an electric car, I didn't know how to charge it, there was no charger where I was going, etc. Plus I was driving to a farm the next morning - I knew the car wouldn't make it. But it was my only option, and they said I could swap the car the next day for something more practical. So I took it. I mean, I hadn't slept in like 24 hours, and I just wanted to get to my destination so I could shower and rest before leaving for Thanksgiving lunch. I didn't know how little it was charged until I started driving - I would barely make it to my 1st stop. It only had 14% charge. I managed to get to a Target parking lot where there were electric car chargers - I didn't know which one to use, I wasn't sure how long I'd be waiting - all the things they should have told me before I left the airport. I read things online, but this was a crash course and I was under time pressure. I sat for an hour and when I disconnected I was deflated that the car had only charged 2%. I had to go. Instead of driving to my next destination, I parked it and got a ride from someone else. No rest, no shower. I'd deal with it in the morning. Instead of going back to the airport, the next morning I tried to find a closer Budget to swap the car. I just didn't know if I could make it back to the airport - and they'd been so unhelpful I didn't want to go back without trying other locations. It was the day after a holiday and it was unlikely they'd have any cars turned in, but I had to try. I'd called 4 neighborhood locations (with no cars) before I hit the jackpot and Yaya from the Budget on 35th answered the phone. They'd only been open 5 minutes! I explained the situation and he asked me if I could get there quickly. Heck yeah, I'd be there in under 30. I pulled up in 15 minutes and he knew who I was immediately. He'd taken my contract number over the phone, so when I walked in - kid and car seat in hand - he said let's get you into a better car for your needs. He immediately went outside and drove around a truck - freshly washed, new tires, new brakes. We spoke for a few minutes and he explained why the first car didn't charge, and then showed me everything that would have helped the day before. He offered a link to find chargers, what kind of charger to use, apologized for the inconvenience and stress the other people caused me. And then he handed me the truck keys and offered me his card and number in case anything else came up. He even said it was okay for me to return the car to the airport. I can't tell you how that changed my week and my trip. Had he been the person helping in the first place, I might have had the confidence to keep that first car. But he wasn't. Instead, he got to be the person who saved the day. Thank you Yaya and Budget team on 35th in Austin!! Next time, I'm going to skip the airport and just get a ride directly to your offices!!
