The overall ambiance of the restaurant was nice, good music/dj. The decor was pretty and the view was gorgeous. The bottomless drinks were good quality and our waiter was mostly attentive and made sure our drinks stayed full. However, the food should have been yummier given the hype and price. (Taco salad) It was honestly subpar at best and not that flavorful, and food normally tastes better the drunker you get. What really soured the experience was the host came to give us our 5 minute warning (which btw it should be 10-15 minutes). But she did it in an unpleasant, inhospitable manner. "You guys changed your tables and that cut into your time, and made us do extra work." Like nobody wants to be sweating all over their food in scorching sun. The attitude and tone she gave my friend was honestly very extra and disrespectful. Which at that point, we didn't get our check yet, no to-go boxes, or anything to prepare us for departure. I understand hospitality isn't an easy profession but good service is the bare minimum, we still tipped 20% anyway because our waiter was mostly nice. But management should train staff a little bit better in regard to customer service/satisfaction skills. read more

This is one of those "ohh look lets give this place a try" and that's what we did today (8.1.25) Walking towards the restaurant it was so nice from the outside patio, the inside dining area and the rooftop. To be honest, sometimes it can start from the host/hostess. What do I mean? I mean is that sometimes they give attitude or you can tell that they do not like their jobs. (which can change the customer's mood) But the two hostess in the restaurant greeted us and directed us where we needed to go because we wanted to eat on the rooftop. The hostess service was outstanding! Thank you girls! When we got to the rooftop, the ambiance , the music everything was just great! We put in our order with our server for our happy hour cocktails, appetizer, and a meal. Throughtout our meal our waiter not once came to check on us to see how we are doing if we needed anything else but noticed that other tables were being checked on. Very disappointed! I just wanted to leave because I was very upset! This was our first time here and this is how a customer gets treated, not good. I do want to say the margarita was so good and the fully loaded nachos too! The baja fish tacos was lacking the crispiness and needed a little bit more sauce. read more

My colleague and I stopped by for lunch and overall, it did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in, the energy was lively--the colorful decor, and friendly staff made us feel right at home. We both ordered the quesadillas, one chicken one short rib which I'd have to say I preferred the chicken over the short rib --however, they were both tender, flavorful, but chicken packed more flavor. Now, let's talk drinks. Their spicy margarita was a standout--refreshing, not too sweet, and strong enough to get the party started. They definitely know how to mix a good margarita. All in all, Avenida is a great spot for delicious Mexican food, great drinks, and a fun atmosphere. Perfect for a night out with friends or a casual date night. I'll definitely be coming back for those margaritas! read more

Avenida at Penn Plaza in New York City quickly became one of the standout piña colada stops on my tour of Manhattan. They've got a massive pre-mix machine that churns out piña coladas with surprisingly incredible flavour--refreshing, smooth, and perfectly blended. What really set this place apart, though, was the fantastic service and genuinely friendly people. I found myself coming back multiple times throughout my trip. Their sister restaurant, The Rutherford, has a more Irish flair to the name, and they also offer both the piña colada and margarita mixers. One of the highlights of my visits was the rooftop bar at Avenida, especially thanks to Jamie the bartender--warm, welcoming, and exactly the kind of person who makes you want to stay put rather than explore the rest of the city. The Irish staff working as guest employees are an absolute delight--some of the friendliest and funniest people you'll ever meet. If you enjoy a good Irish accent, this spot's a real treat. read more

The food came out crazy fast, the service ok, the atmosphere was awesome. What a way to see the city and have a quick bite to eat. Definitely try the roof top bar. Love the sights and sounds and smells of the city. Just a stones throw away from Macy's. If you are heading to MSG this is a perfect pit stop before the show. read more

We ate at the rooftop before a Rangers game and it was good. Their signature drinks were excellent but the food was a bit too greasy. We got the chicken quesadilla and I couldn't exactly finish it. There was way too much chicken and very little cheese in it. I definitely recommend going there for drinks though and checking out the nice views from the rooftop :) the service was great but it took too long to get the waitresses attention. read more

Brunch at Avenida NYC was an absolute vibe! We went for their weekend bottomless brunch and it did not disappoint. The Tres Leches French Toast was decadent and delicious, and the Brunch Smashburger--a double patty with pepper jack cheese on a sesame potato bun--was juicy and satisfying. I had a frozen piña colada, and my boyfriend enjoyed a margarita; both were refreshing and well-made. The service was amazing! The live DJ played an amazing mix of Latino and Hispanic beats, creating a lively and fun atmosphere. It's the perfect spot for a weekend brunch with friends, offering great food, drinks, and music in a vibrant setting. They also have an outside area to hang out and a roof top too! read more

Really amazing brunch spot! My friends and I were surprised at how delicious the food was. I ordered their piña colada to accompany my food which ended up being such a good combination of sweet and strong. Whoever seasons the plates does an amazing job and I'd love to come back! Our server was also very attentive and kept checking in on us. The ambiance was also very nice and their music playlist was something to vibe to lol. read more

Avenida in the summer is such a vibe. DJ and bottomless drink are great and the food and service is decent I recommend this place to friends when they are in town. Had great guava margaritas and food was really good. We are from LA and really love Mexican food, we wouldn't have had MFood outside of Los Angeles but we'd been traveling all day and it was in front of us when we were hungry. Sooooooo good. Loved the calamari and the tacos. Guac was really good too! Sweet servers, nice and relaxing with great food. Thank you! read more

I made a reservation for 13 for the roof top for Aug 1st on July 5th I just want to note if you have a group of 10 or larger you will need to sign multiple forms leave a card on file and you are only able to pick 2 drinks and 4 food items from the bottomless brunch special but you still have to pay the bottomless brunch price. Some people of our party were running late due to a festival occurring in the city which blocked off multiple streets we called before our reservation time to advise of this which they said "of course no worries" only 5/13 of our party was at the restaurant when they proceed to put out the food and drinks which started the 90 minutes bottomless brunch for the whole party. They proceeded to tell the 5 people of our party that they had to put everything out because they needed the table for another reservation @2:50 (I was not made aware of this when I made the reservation) I was told they would give us the set menu and if we wanted anything else from the regular menu we would be able to order but we were rushed off and giving the check @1:50 as the waiter was give us a last call when we wanted to put in another 5 margaritas the waitress looked me in the face and said "I am not doing that I'm bringing out 2" and walked away they told us we needed to move from the table @1:55 and we could relocate at the bar which we did but we were met with nothing but eye rolls from the whole staff. Only nice thing about this place was the DJ he was cool but I do not recommend this spot at all!! especially for larger group and will not be coming back! if I could give it 0 stars I would. read more

It was a nice surprise in midtown. Great rooftop bar with awesome music. Mix of tourists and afternoon work crowd.

Can't beat the price on the bottomless brunch! The vibes are lit, the drinks are delicious, and the food is to die for. Unlike other brunch spots I've been to, you can change your drink after every round! They have about five options, I went with the mimosa, margarita, and piña colada! The DJ played a variety of music was dancing in my seat the whole time! The hostess is a sweetheart she has a contagious smile. Our server was also great, offered us another round before even finishing the one we were on . read more

Terrible service, host is not happy about her job, server Niam really nice server but I asked her " Just to make sure are we ok happy hour" her answer was "yes" so we went ahead and ordered two Mojitos, food was good and everything came out quick, check came and it looked like they charged full price on Mojitos. So went ahead asked Niam? Do you know how hard it is to find a brunch spot in NYC that delivers both good vibes AND food?? i'll tell you it's damn near impossible. Came here on a sunday and let me just say the dj was DJing. The music was great and they played a little bit of everything. Service was pretty decent and we had our waitress come and check on us every 30 mins or so which I liked. The food here is like a fusion of mexican and american classics. The french toast was some of the best i've had. The cream and milky syrup for the french toast was honestly the perfect combination. The brunch smash-burger was pretty decent and can be added to the running list of solid burgers around the city. The steak and eggs was also pretty solid and I loved that It was cooked exactly how I asked. I'm so happy I found a new brunch spot especially on that's not too far from penn. read more

Came for their Sunday brunch and what a nice vibe it was. As soon as we entered we heard some great music giving it a tropical feel. It felt like I had stepped onto a cruise ship or island. Their seating arrangement is mostly outside as well. As for their brunch menu there were a lot of favorites but I myself went for the bottomless brunch with my entree being the huevos rancheros. I am use to huevos rancheros having crispy tortillas and all the fix-ins but this was just 3 soft tortillas covered with refried beans, tomato sauce and the eggs of course. While still good, was just not expecting it. Someone in my party opted for the tres leche French toast and I had to try a piece. It was so delicious! I loved how fluffy it was yet had a nice sear on the bread. And of course the tasty tres leche you can't go wrong. As for my drinks of choice I chose the classic mimosa, piña colada and the frozen margarita. The bartender definitely needs a raise. ALL these drinks were stronggggg. The frozen margarita is very very very tart but after the sweetness of the piña colada you will appreciate it. read more

Great service and good food. Anna and Kimberly were lovely servers. Loved the music that was playing kept the place lively,

Had brunch here today, I wish yelp had half stars, they didn't really deserve the 3, but not a 4 either. Service was great, if you're a drinker the bottomless package is also a plus. Food was average, and vibe was good (we were a bit early, so I'm sure it will get busier). Heads up if you are a Diet Coke person, they will bring you Diet Pepsi (sad face). Steak was a perfect medium until it wasn't, then very rare in the center (eggs were a perfect over medium) and potatoes needed salt. (Carne Asada with eggs). Breakfast burrito was a 7, needed a bit more seasoning in the eggs, but bacon balanced it out (still good). I would say with all the options in the city, I would have chosen one of the other ones, still a convenient option with cool vibes. read more

We made a birthday reservation for a party of six on a Sunday for the rooftop. While we understand the rain was out of anyone's control, the real issue was the lack of planning, assistance, and accommodation for our group. We were simply told there was no space available. It's unfortunate that an establishment accepting reservations doesn't have a backup plan in place for situations like inclement weather. read more

My friends and I came here for happy hour. My friends got the drinks after about the first two drinks for them, it got them on the level they wanted to be on. We all ended up getting the Chipotle-Mango Wings, these were the best wings I've ever had. The sauce was on point, I'm a buffalo type of girl so this was a bit out of my comfort zone at first. They were nice and fresh! The service was amazing, they were all very attentive. The ambiance was also beautiful. read more

My partner and I had ordered Nachos and some other items listed without meat as she is vegetarian as well has a rare poultry allergy that makes it simply impossible to eat and digest meat. After being asked twice if we'd like the nachos without meat by the sweet waitress when they arrived all was fine until about 3/4s was eaten and suddenly out of nowhere my partner and I had taken bites of what was surprisingly shredded chicken. My partner then had to run to the bathroom and threw up everything that was eaten while I looked through the rest of what was left of the nachos and found a few more pieces thrown in. They had comped the nachos and had offered a complementary free drink but that doesn't make up for the quality of the food given. read more

When in NYC, we have to visit. My daughter loves their chicken quesadilla, though the last time she said it just wasn't the same. Unfortunately I didn't get to take any pictures because I was at a private work event but the rooftop bar was nice, it's on the second floor so its very low compared to all of the other buildings in the area obviously but it's still a nice vibe. You can see Madison Square Garden which is really cool. I only got a Shirley Temple and picked at a few things, the catering menu seemed to be really limited. We were given steak tacos, fish tacos, chicken sliders, chicken quesadilla and chips with salsa and guacamole. Nothing really stood out to me as amazing but I guess if I had to pick it would be the quesadilla. I think this place is for the vibe and view mostly. read more

I came for brunch on the weekend and had a reservation on the rooftop. We were seated quickly and the service was good. It was $24 for bottomless drinks with purchasing an entree. For an easy, fun spot to hang with friends, this spot is great! The food and drinks were solid! The service, however, is unbelievably slow. For both ordering and getting the check, we ended up leaving the table to find our server. But we were very relaxed so it was only a little frustrating at the end. The restaurant had both a rooftop and a patio, which is great ambiance on a nice day. I'd recommend the fish tacos and the frozen margaritas. read more

Randomly came here for a brunch date and while the DJ was bursting my eardrums once the food came it made up for it, just a bit. Firstly this is Latin/American brunch. They have a $24/pp brunch special: once you buy an entree (separate) you have 90mins to drink the 4 cocktails listed: mimosa, Bloody Mary, Pina Colada and Margarita. I got the pina colada which was frozen goodness but prefer ripe pineapple on my glass than the dry one. As I was sipping on my pina, I got their creamy avocado toast with delicious crispy bacon. It was a 10/10 except my eggs were not well done, if you like runny eggs this place is your go to. Although the kitchen tried accommodate it still wasn't to my liking. They took my entire plate to redo the eggs and my food returned cold instead of bringing a separate plate with eggs. It gave yikes, but my date really went to town on their chicken sandwich and fries. To make use of our 90min we got the margarita which was terrible! Then substituted for the mimosa which was light and refreshing. My main downsides were the utensils not being fully clean, the tunes being far too loud, and the deal not really being a deal. Should be $25-30 for entree and drink 90min, imo. While I did not enjoy yelling over the music, I did leave full, tipsy (happy) which makes a good brunch, so this place is more of a 3.8. read more

Went for a team lunch during an all day meeting across the street, and was very accommodating to our group of 8. They pushed several small tables together for us and the staff was on point! The waitress was also cool about taking several group shots for us. Food was good, and has a Mexican style. I got the fried chicken sandwich with sauce on the side, which I was glad about. I'm not big on saucy crispy chicken. Fries had a good tasting seasoning on them which kinda tasted like chili powder and/or cumin mix. This is also a great spot to go before or after an event at the Garden, directly next door. Gets crowded though! For lunch, the place was pretty empty, which was good for us considering we had a large party. read more

Good food and drinks. The pina colada was strong!!! And music was a bop even when sitting in the patio.

My husband and I stopped in for a quick dinner before the Knicks game yesterday. We had high hopes for the place, but we left feeling disappointed. The place has a nice vibe. While it was still too cold for it to be open, it looks like they have a really nice rooftop and patio areas for the warmer days. When we arrived they were busy, but we were sat quickly which was a plus. However, after we were sat it took forever for the waitress to come back and take our order. Someone came and gave us water but didn't even say anything when he came to our table. He just grabbed our glasses and poured water and walked away. He looked miserable. We had to grab the waitress after about 15-20 minutes of waiting to ask her to take our order. She passed our table numerous times but never looked at us. She wasn't very friendly and never really came and checked on us. I deducted a star for their less than great service. We ordered the tostadas, Smash Burger and the Tequila Lime Chicken, along with a margarita and a mojito. The food was brought out fairly quickly and the tostada and chicken tacos were pretty tasty. They weren't out of this world, but they were good. My husband said the smash burger wasn't really a smash burger - it was just more of a burger lol. We had to wave down the waitress about halfway into our meal as we still hadn't gotten our drinks yet. I'm pretty sure she never put the order in. After another few minutes we got our drinks...and they were terrible. It honestly was the worst margarita I've ever had in my life. It tasted straight up like rubbing alcohol. I had 3 sips of it and then left the rest. I had to remove a star from my rating for the drinks. While the location was convenient being so close to Madison Square Gardens, I don't think I would go back again. There are so many other great options in the city to settle for mediocre. read more

pretty sure this is a place for tourists. the drinks here are fine and the interior is cute, but the staff is pretty annoying. i was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, but over the course of 20 minutes our waiter kept asking if we wanted another drink, even though the first two times she could clearly see that we had barely even taken a sip of our drinks. then some other waiter that wasn't even ours asked us 3 times to move, told us they had room at the bar for us, and we looked over and not a seat was available. they moved us to some other table in the back that was exactly the same as the table that we were just sitting at? also, they had us carry all of our bags and take our own drinks to this other table. it was so strange. i then asked to pay for my drink since my friends were staying, and the options to tip were 20%, 25%, and 30%. the audacity to ask for that much after that kind of service is kind of wild. definitely will not be coming again. read more

Music is way too loud. It would be nice to enjoy a meal without pounding reggaeton - I miss the old ambiance of this location.

we came to this place because of a tiktok rec and honestly, i would have rather eaten cardboard, we ordered the carne asada and eggs. the eggs came overcooked so we asked for fried hard and they weren't. after arguing with the manager about the difference between medium and medium well,he told us to get up and leave because he can't afford to replace the meal. i asked for chiliqiilies and he told me no. somehow i got them anyway and they're just okay. pls note the manager has over 10 years of restaurant experience and this is the best he can do. read more
