Mustang Harry's was absolute chaos tonight. Knicks fans packed in shoulder to shoulder, every big play felt like the building was about to lose a few bricks. Which made it the perfect ambiance to watch the game. Started with the mozzarella sticks--golden, crispy, and pulling off that cheese stretch worthy of a replay review. Then came the Buffalo wings, cooked perfectly with just the right amount of heat to keep the game interesting. The main event was Harry's Burger: a custom blend burger loaded with blue cheese, caramelized and crispy onions, sweet pickles, tomato, market greens, secret sauce, smoked bacon, all stacked on a brioche bun. This thing hit harder than a Knicks playoff screen. By the final buzzer, the crowd was losing its mind, my table looked like it survived overtime, and that burger deserved its own championship parade down 7th Avenue. Also the service was top-tier. So if the Knicks bring this much energy every night, somebody start measuring the route for the Finals parade. read more

Meeting up w some friends & this place happened to be the middle Ground. Once most arrived we were seated.. Drinks , whiskey sour , bullet bourbon , beer & grey goose & seltzer overpriced drinks w not a lot of kick they were pretty weak on the alcohol aside from the beers, which were the best option. On the apps we tried the Bang bang shrimp , this was very tasty. Nice & crispy good sauce & shrimp. The wings BBQ & regular were not bad & some fries , decent. Typical sports bar crowd it seemed , the restaurant itself is a good size, plenty of TVs for catching the games, service was good & prices overall all doable , overpriced on the drinks for not much alcohol not the best combo. The bar served its purpose in getting our night started overall it was not bad for what it was. read more

Grabbed a drink here after the Knicks game. It was a cool chill bar next to Madison Square Garden. Didn't order any food but there is a large selection of beer on tap so you have plenty of options. read more

My friends and I came here one evening for drinks and food before karaoke and I was really impressed! We had made a reservation and were seated in a partial booth table in the back. There is quite a lot of seating here as well as a large bar and the overall vibe is very much a refined pub/restaurant with sports being highlighted on the TVs. We slowly trickled in and our waitress was great and grabbing our drink orders as we arrived. I ordered a We Didn't Start the Fire and loved it! For food we shared the Mac and cheese, Bang Band Shrimp, 4 sliders, The Mustang Burger with fries. Everything came out hot and was so delicious! Several other people in our party that arrived later ordered their own entrees but I did not get to try them. One of my favorite parts of the meal was at the very end when the waitress larger was my birthday she brought out a slice of cheesecake with a candle! The cheesecake had a sweet, but not overly sweet blueberry syrup with blueberries on top that, paired with the subtle richness of the chocolate Oreo crust and lightness (you read that right) of the filling, made for the perfect ending to this meal. I was not expecting much other than bar food and found myself pleasantly surprised by the nice yet lovely atmosphere and delicious menu here! read more

Stopped by for drinks on a Friday night. Place was not busy, looks like a chill vibe. My friend and I ordered a Moscow mule. The bartender recommended Haku vodka since they didn't have Tito's. The drink was very refreshing and well balanced. Price was $20 each, pretty pricey for a standard bar. I'll probably pass on going back here again. read more

We stopped in for drinks only last night, and I had the nicest waiter. He gave us the heads up on a brand new speakeasy that they were opening last night. He led us to the back of the bar and opened a bookcase that led to a set of stairs going down. We descended into a beautiful small speakeasy right out of the 1930s! We had a few incredibly delicious cocktails. I would do five stars, but we didn't have anything to eat. We'll be back. read more

Super crowded before the Springsteen show but they handled it very well. We had a few apps (Wings, Lettuce wraps) and some beers. Nothing fancy. They were all good. One item of interest was that on the way out 3 different people made the effort to thank us for coming in. That was a nice touch. Clearly part of their training. Might be the first time since Covid that I noticed that anyone was actually training the front of the house. Lack of training is often evident these days but not at Mustang Harry's where everyone is highly skilled and professional. We were in the upstairs bar in the rear. It's a nice vibe and I would recommend it. One nit was that it was very warm, almost hot. Perhaps the A/C doesn't get turned on until later in the year? I can see that making sense if so. Either way, hot or not, we'll be back! read more

Made a reservation for a night before the Ranger game and thank god I did bc it was a packed house. However we were sat in the small high top that we had to play like Tetris to make all of our drinks and plates fit. It took a while for me to get water since my friend was there first he was able to get this drinks in. The crispy calamari was not crispy at all as it was drowned in the sweet chili sauce. Nachos were okay did appreciate that the pico and guacamole came on the side as we asked for Jalapeños to be on the side. Towards the end we were feeling a bit rushed to turn over the table so we left to another bar. We still had about another 1.5 til puck drop. read more

Wide and I stopped in for drinks and dinner tonight. We enjoyed the dmfashion show of all of the Harry Styles fans. However, the food was the staple. Wife had the Shepards Pie and I had the short rib grilled cheese. WOW! OUTSTANDING sandwich! I ordered the Dingle Peninsula drink and was pretty disappointed, even though it was alcohol, we don't leave alcohol. It tasted like whiskey and dark cherry syrup. It was way too sweet. An add on to my previous review....felt obligated to mention the lamb chop appetizer.... By far my favorite item on the menu. Service is excellent. Outstanding MSG pregame location. The two of us were so looking forward to their aclaimed Fish and Chips that we never had before. We were so taken back that when the order came the fish smelled of ammonia and was mushy. Catching up with an old coworker and she suggested this place as she's a regular here for games since it's right by the garden. From the outside it doesn't look that spacious but once inside it's huge and they have a upper level as well. By the time I got there happy hour was over (till 5PM). We sat in the back area and was greeted right away by our waitress who was very attentive during our time. I had the wings with their mustang sticky sauce which I liked and the hanger steak tacos which was ok. Drinks were really good! We were treated to a very rich chocolate lava cake which I recommend sharing since it's huge. They also have a large selection of wines, beers and drinks. For a Tuesday the place was busy and the owner was out and about. Overall, I had a good time. read more

Great, lively pub/restaurant to go to if you're coming out of Penn Station NY & looking for somewhere close to eat if you're seeing a show at MSG or on Broadway. We were there @ 5:30 pm, the place was packed & buzzing with laughter & animated customers, enjoying after work drinks, pre-show cocktails and early dinners. Staff were fleeting around quickly all helping one and other get orders out and drinks served in a timely manner. We sat in the back, which was a bit quieter, it was then I figured out that they had an upstairs also. Menu had a good selection of "Irish pub grub" and other choices that anyone who goes could find something they'd like. Our waitress may have been a little new, seemed nervous yet was very sweet. In fact when placing drinks on the table one fell all over the floor, she was so upset about it. We were fine, didn't change seats, it was cleaned up & we suddenly had a new waiter. We had fish n chips & a short rib grilled cheese. The fish was the best I've had by far outside of the UK. Grilled cheese was super stuffed & messy, tasted good - defo better to share with someone!! We visited this local bar/restaurant near MSG before a New York Rangers game with our family of four, and it was a great experience. My sons ordered burgers that they absolutely devoured, and my husband and I shared a corned beef sandwich that came with coleslaw and fries--everything was delicious. Since we arrived during weekend happy hour, we had time to enjoy a drink before the game. I ordered a lychee martini, which was excellent. The place is a bit pricey, but the overall vibe made it worth it. The pub was filled with fans in blue shirts, and the energy in the room was amazing. TVs were everywhere playing football, adding to the excitement. The place is loud and packed during events so be prepared and make sure to make a reservation. read more

Great atmosphere. Max was the best! So fun and professional! I will be back and recommend!

Claims to be an Irish pub and does not have Smithwick's or Killians or any Irish beer but Guiness. Pathetic.

Mustang Harry's is the perfect spot to hit up before a Knicks game at MSG. It's an easy walk to the arena, making it super convenient. The food was good - a bit pricey, but that's to be expected in Midtown, and it's still half the price of what you'd pay for food and drinks inside MSG. It's a smart decision not have a happy hour here because $ is basically guaranteed before any MSG event...but quality of food sure goes down with the amount of customers...Great atmosphere and a solid choice for pre-game eats. read more

I love Mustang Harry's. I met up with some friends at Mustang Harry's on Thursday November 13th. I had never been there before. Was politely greeted by a hostess and seated right away. I asked for a booth close to the door and she gladly accommodated. FOOD AND DRINKS: We ordered nearly every item on the appetizer menu along with cocktails and other drinks. The food and service was excellent. All of the dishes were made in house by a bona fide chef and they truly exceeded my expectations. I especially loved the calamari and steak nachos. The server was on top of our orders and we never had to wait long to get a refill, another appetizer or another drink. Our server was a real pro. ATMOSPHERE: The atmosphere is fun, festive and clean. They have a great bar with lots of TVs if you like to watch sports. The music was audible but not overpowering. The nicest, cleanest bathrooms. PRICE: The prices are VERY fair for the amount of food we had. A very good value. BOTTOM LINE: I loved it there so much we went back the next day for lunch with some other friends. This is now my new favorite place in New York. I will be back again! read more

Really enjoy coming to Mustang Harry's, it's a stones throw away from the Garden so it's the perfect place to watch a Rangers/Knicks game or a spot to come before. I was going to a Rangers game this night so a buddy of mine and I stopped into this place. We got seated pretty quickly upstairs on one of the tables overlooking the restaurant, unique spot. We each got a pint of Guinness and the Corned Beef Sandwich with fries. Food came out very quickly after ordering, they know their crowd. Sandwich was a tasty good portion, could have used a spicy mustard to make it perfect but was delicious nonetheless, fries good as well. My only complaint is how hot it gets up there, I had been there previously and had the same issue as well, was wearing a sweatshirt that I had to shed with it being so warm. Good spot to pregame before headed to the Mecca. read more

Went here on a Saturday night with a group of 4. Was sat immediately. The atmosphere is nice but also casual. A bar where you can sit. I ordered the Cesar salad with chicken and a Prosecco. Both were good, but I think it is hard to mess up a Cesar salad. The salad could have been bigger, but it is nyc and very close to Madison Square Garden so expectations need to be set accordingly. Service was also good, no long waits and all our orders were correct. It was a good restaurant, but not one I'm dying to go back to. read more
