The team at Avalon help me with on of my first plumbing project that I needed to do to get my house in compliance with the city. After calling several different plumbers that seem to not be aware of what I was asking for Avalon knew what I was asking for right away. Did not charge me for coming out to quote me for a major project. Super helpful with explaining the process of how they have to work with the city, pulling permits, even coordinated the utility company to come out and get my certificate for compliance. #Cadillacservice Will be definitely calling them for other plumbing needs for my new house read more

We had been using a different plumbing company who had their whole admin team turn over and unfortunately their customer service and responsiveness tanked, so we reached out to Avalon in a bit of a pickle. All of the plumbers we've worked with have been knowledgeable and great, and Regina who answers the phones always gets back to my quickly (noting they do not provide 24/7 emergency services - but that's clear on their website and they tell you upfront). They've descaled our tankless water heater, double checked how it was set up by the previous plumbing company, connected a tub overflow drain that was just draining into the space between floors and dripping down out of a heating vent to the first floor (aka it wasn't ever connected when the tub was installed before we were involved), and more. I also really appreciate how their staff is willing to take the time for me to watch them and learn - I knew nothing about plumbing and have learned so much. They also have taken ownership of some small mistakes - just stuff like once someone came out to I thought descale our tankless water heater but he thought he was just assessing it - and they didn't charge me for that visit and came back as soon as it fit into my schedule. Since things like that happen and everyone is doing their best, I really appreciate companies like Avalon that just say whoops sorry, let's see how we can fix this. They also all are totally willing to wear shoe covers and masks when inside our house, are tidy and communicative, and just generally nice people to be around - which we haven't found to be the case with all other companies in this field. I recently left a slightly panicked message overnight about a possible gas leak (not being sure who to call - turns out the gas company was actually who I should call and they responded quickly) and Regina called me back right as they opened the next day to check in even though my question was outside of Avalon's scope. That's the kind of company they are and that's why I definitely recommend Avalon Plumbing whenever anyone asks me for a recommendation - they're great! read more

Avalon gave me a bid and a schedule and they hit both right on the nail. As an operator of multiple restaurants, it's essential to find a plumbing contractor who is honest, reliable, and timely. Avalon is all three and their number is at the top of the list. Remarkably friendly and professional team, from the home office to the crew working under the sink. I've been ripped off by so many commercial plumbers in the Bay Area over the past 20 years, so it's refreshing to work with Avalon Services! read more

Jose and his crew at Avalon were fantastic. They installed a lateral drain in front of the of our garage and had to reroute the previous pipes underground after excavating. After taking up the concrete they even matched the new concrete in color to our garage door perfectly. The cleanup was also through. Sam was great in advising us of all the different ways we could solve the problem, both from a practical as well as from a financial perspective. The result was an elegant solution that looks really nice and works precisely. I can't recommend them highly enough! read more

Professional, Courteous, available over the Holidays. Timely and great communication. I have used Avalon Services on three separate occasions, for three different issues and am extremely satisfied with their work. ~Todd read more

Sam, Ino, Jonathan, and Will were an incredible team to work with. We needed to get our sewer lateral into compliance after buying our home, and from the first phone call with Sam, I could tell that Avalon is a straightforward, honest company that strives to do its best for customers. In the process of shopping around, companies were only giving us quotes for complete replacement. When Avalon came to the house, they did a detailed exam and pressure test, and told us that the system actually did not need a replacement and just needed some repairs to get us to code. In the process, they saved us so much money and time, and as new homeowners, it was VERY appreciated! A special shoutout to Ino for doing the work on the sewer lateral with a smile, and leaving the cleanouts and area around it in better shape than when we moved in. Highly recommend this company to anyone! read more

Avalon is a super service organization. Very professional and honest They came on time and explained all our options read more

Just completed a complicated major drainage project that took several months to set up. Will, the owner, was fabulous throughout in working with us, the County, an affected neighbor, and subcontractors to keep the project moving forward and then to complete it timely and fully professionally. Avalon's people were also respectful, prompt, and highly skilled to a person. I'm really glad I hired Avalon for this critical project, and will call them again without hesitation. read more

They thoroughly assessed our issue and helped me come up with the best solution, given our budget restraints. We talked about the range of possibilities and Will explained the pluses and minuses of it all. He also set things up so that it will be easier to do a more thorough job in the future when we're ready. His crew was friendly and courteous, respecting the particularities of our home. Their work was quick and of high quality, and they did an excellent clean up job. I'm very happy that I went with Avalon and would recommend them to anyone. read more

Technician was unable to do the job due to lack of proper equipment so he gave me a discount on his fee. After I spoke to the manager he suggested a different piece of equipment. The same technicIan returned a few days later with a different device and completed the job at no extra charge. Overall I was very pleased with the outcome and will definitely call Avalon the next time I have a plumbIng problem. read more

Avalon is amazing! They came recommended by a trusted local plumber who didn't have time to help us replace some old steel pipes under our house. The guys who came to do the work were helpful, polite, and professional. They were on-time and got the job done quickly. Avalon's company culture is also excellent. Check out their website to learn more about their values of honesty, transparency, etc. read more

Professional work with good communication at a moderate price. I'm a contractor that have hired Avalon several times with great results.

William was the only plumber I contacted who directly jump in helping customer. All other vendors just ask me contact info etc but William actually cares about the customer and work and his little one question helped me solved the issue without an appointment. Sometimes it's a very simple common sense and really appreciate his candid response. Thanks! read more

I am grateful to have been sent to Avalon. Will and his team were really exceptional and even though this was a job that threw some really difficult circumstances at them, they came through with great work and were friendly, communicative and professional throughout. We had to replace a huge sewer lateral that wrapped halfway around the building with multiple turns. It went under a nice finished concrete patio and he was able to sawcut just one clean hole to access the 90 degree under the patio. I expected some cracks at the edges or some sawcut lines and there were none at the end. He also had to take up an extremely old brickwork path and they carefully laid the same bricks back down at the end. It was like they were never there. Totally exceeded my expectations. We also had a schedule snafu that forced his crew to work on site at the same time as some electricians *and* another excavator and they couldn't use the driveway yet still everyone got along great and even my other contractors had kinds words about these guys at the end too. Definitely exceeded expectations and I definitely recommend. read more

Ronnie fixed the drip from my tub spout that no one else could figure out. He didn't give up when looking for the source. He was diligent, professional, effective, & affordable. These guys will be my "go to" from now on. I am so thankful for the excellent service. It's hard to find these days! read more

My Deercreek toilet's flush valve failed and the mfg did not have replacements and a two month wait period to receive them. They would not tell me a third party supplier to replace the valve with. Avalon came quickly, removed the failed part and went out to hardware stores to match it with another brand's valve. It works great with no problems. They got my renter's toilet working and took pressure off me and my renter since he has only one bathroom. The price was worth it. read more

Avalon came out to try and unblock a storm drain. Working with Avalon was great right from the start. Front office did a great job of scheduling the appt and keeping me informed. The technician showed up on time. Our pipes had filled with roots. The technician went out of his way to try and fix the problem. There was no cleanout built into the drainage system, so he tried multiple ways to scope where the problem was and use the jetter to try and unblock the pipe. He was here a long time, and you can tell he wanted to solve the problem almost more than I did! I can't speak highly enough about the dedication of Avalon to make me a happy customer. I'd absolutely use them again, and I would absolutely recommend Avalon to anyone needing their services read more

When I bought my home there was a quote for the sewer lateral already provider from Avalon, I gave Will a call and he was super friendly and helpful, he got everything going and organized when his folks would come and complete the work, they came, got everything certified with no issues at all, all round a great experience. read more

Avalon plumbing did a great job. They were quick throughout the process, and that's the best when your toliet won't flush. Came to my home, figured out the issue, and got it solved. The owner is a great person to deal with. Very knowledgeable and fun to talk with made the whole experience better. Can't say enough for this great company. read more

Avalon Services is our go-to company for all plumbing related issues. Will and his crew came through for us when our water main broke recently and he has also worked on our water heater and external hose bib in the past. We called them frantically in the morning and they were out the same afternoon to determine what the problem was. Within 24hours they had us back up and running! They had to dig about 120 feet of trench (through poison oak and underbrush on a hillside) from the meter to the house and suggested adding a spigot at the halfway point in the line to make it easier for us to water the garden. Thanks again, Avalon! You guys are the best! read more

They just completed our sewer-lateral overhaul for Alameda Co. compliance. Service is professional, amicable, and transparent ((quoted price for the work and final invoice were nearly identical)) Also, our sewer lateral was especially deep-down, but was apparently no problem for Will and his crew. 10/10 would recommend, and will certainly be calling them back for internal plumbing work in the coming months. read more

Will at Avalon was nothing short of great with my sewer lateral replacement. On time, response, communicative and did the work at a very fair price. Would definitely use Avalon in the future. read more

Best part: Really smart and concise communication. This company would be great for an HOA big job because Will would probably explain to the HOA board well. I had called several plumbers before I talked to Will. He was the most communicative of all. He explained what my options were including the most comprehensive way to fix my water heater issues as well as several other options. So I chose an option and Juan was to come out the next day. He did and that went fine. They were both very professional. However there ended up being a mistake with the heater size that was picked up. There was some compensation after discussion for the inconvenience. Juan returned the next day with the right sized heater. The rate was priced for the job and it was for a special sized heater unit that was shorter than the average 40 gallon. 1750.00. According to my conversations I had with other plumbers, that is about right for a heater that did include the extras and an odd sized heater. I bought a pan for underneath too. And Juan did say he did something for me that was to do with the pipe and that was part of the package pricing / job price. That was nice. I would use and recommend in a heartbeat. read more

Juan was responsive and communicated with me about arrival time. He was able to diagnosis and fix the problem quickly and cost efficiently. Will most definitely use again. read more

I can't say enough good things, they showed up Thanksgiving week and got the job done efficiently and saved the holiday. Zack was knowledgeable and thorough. His customer service was phenomenal from doing the "dirty job" to communication of his findings. Regina is a joy to work with on the phone and Will is great with his years of experience. Thank you Avalon Rooter! I totally recommend these guys for your plumbing needs!!! read more

Awesome job I called they came right out. Unclogged my kitchen sink with in minutes. Great job excellent service!!

Sam and Ronald came to our home to help us with our backyard drains. Sam was the ultimate professional and recommended we use the camera first to ensure we don't pay for anything more than we needed. He never was pushy. Instead he gave me a quote and let me decide if the timing was right. I appreciate their helpfulness and professionalism. I would use them again and happily recommend to them to anyone looking for a professional company. read more

Will is super nice and knowledgeable. We had bath tub clogged issue for awhile. He came and fixed it in 30 mins. He always mention how do maintain a better system. He also helped me out on the weak water pressure issue. By visual inspected and found the filter issue inside the shower head. We also talked about the future plan of changing the water heater between tank or tankless. He made some very helpful suggestions and I learned some new things today. Overall very satisfied result after his services. Most likely going to be my preferred service provider going forward. read more

I've been working on an ADU project for three years, and dealt with many a plumber, contractor, etc. HAND'S DOWN, Will and his team were the most professional, efficient, cost effective and thorough....my yard looks better now than it did before they got here. Not only did he quickly repair my sewer lateral (which I discovered late in the project needed to be unexpectedly replaced- yikes-), but he also did sewer clean up from mistakes from the previous plumber hired that didn't pass inspection. He was my "make this problem go away" guy, and HE DID IT! We passed inspection within days and I'd been dealing with it for WEEKS. Thanks to Will and his team...I'm gonna share his info with every relator I know and every home owner who may need to replace the sewer lateral. SIMPLY THE BEST. read more
