I hired Mauro and his team for a water heater replacement. I found him previously for a pipe replacement project last year and was very impressed. Given the complexity of this job, I wanted to make sure it was done right. Communication was excellent. Mauro was able to come by for an estimate within a few days, and from there, his office crew helped me plan and schedule the work. Additionally, they handled the permit and inspection coordination. They were able to schedule the work within two weeks, which was fine given that this wasn't an emergency. For this gas to heat pump conversion, it was necessary to vent both the intake and exhaust. This presents a number of challenges like making vent holes, running ducts, and making sure everything is air tight. Jose and his team were absolutely awesome. They take pride in their work. The team is friendly and patient, and takes the time to break down what they're doing and why, as well as any hiccups and adjustments that have to be made. I cannot tell you how great it is to have a professional you can trust, who also respects you and your property. This was a complex job and they made it look great, fit the space, and work as needed. A plumber isn't something you hope you need very often, but should anything come up, I'll definitely be calling Mauro's Plumbing again. read more

Services included: - new water heater - adding water line into garage - sump pump clogged - sump pump not working The last time he helped me out: he saved me $1600! My tenants called a plumber who said it would cost $800-$1600 -- $800 for labor and $800 to replace the sump pump motor potentially. I immediately called Mauro who came within 2 hours of my calling. He fixed the issue (small electrical cable was moved) and didn't charge me at all! (I offered to pay for his time at the very least -- he said no need!). After a few months of our slow draining sink we decided to call a plumber. We contacted Mauro's Plumbing and were able to book an appointment the following afternoon. Our first impressions were not great... Luiz and Javier arrived almost two hours late due to their previous plumbing job running longer than expected. And after snaking the drain, a pipe broke and water began leaking through the downstairs ceiling. It wasn't their fault, though, the galvanized pipes were about 80 years old. They said they would have to come back and replace the broken pipe. I asked how much it would cost to change the whole sink drain pipe and they gave an estimate of $2,500. The following day, they arrived nearly an hour early and began working immediately. Luiz said they will do their best to finish the job in one day. These guys work HARD. They went non stop from 10:00am - 7:00pm. I didn't see them stop to eat lunch, snack, or even sit down to take a breather. I thought there was going to be a huge mess after the job was over because they had to open up our ceiling, remove 20 feet of piping, plus and additional 70 feet of piping in the crawl space and replace them. But they got the job done and cleaned up EVERYTHING as if the new pipes magically appeared 9 hours later. You can literally just sit back, drink a beer, watch the game, and these guys will fix your plumbing problems with no fuss and no mess. In the end we were charged exactly $2,500. Initially I was going to give these guys maybe like 3 or 4 stars or not bother to write a review but they were so incredibly hard working, kind, and professional that I felt obligated to do so. I want to thank Mauro's Plumbing. After a different plumbing company told me they needed to replace the entire shower/tub hot and cold valves by cutting into the wall and unsoldering them I told them where to go. Then Mauro's Plumbing contacted me and drove 10 miles in traffic to give me an estimate for just replacing the valve cartridge's. This did not involve any disturbance of the wall, and cost me a fraction of what the other guys wanted to charge me. I had this company out for a few simple repairs. The service was prompt, friendly, and any problems were resolved quickly and fairly.

Mauro's workers worked fast and fixed the issues. End result is functional but it ain't pretty. I was referred to them by my realtor. I think I was able to schedule within a couple of days for a shower that had no cold water. Two guys came. One older knowledgeable guy, not Mauro, and a younger guy who spoke English. In the end they accomplished the 2 jobs pretty quickly. I will say communication was really difficult initially but became easier later. I wish I spoke Spanish. They cleared a shower line and replaced some laundry spigots that were old and leaking For the Laundry spigots they had to add extension pipe pieces they had in their truck. They were different sizes and they used a shorter one where the longer one should have been because of the window sill was in the way. I tried to communicate this but it got lost in translation. He was able to do it but the spigots are at different angles now. He did have to dig into the wall, which is fine, but they put a bunch of silicone caulk in the inch wide crevice- probably would have been better to use spackle. See pic. It really isn't pretty and I can't paint that silicone caulk, but it works. 4 stars. read more

Even after his analysis he volunteered to go in the attic crawl space to see where the pipes and air vents and fanning system might be to aid me in figuring out the specific problem. As he was up there he noticed a pipe could be more secure so he secured it. He went above and beyond.
