I called Robert for some help on my water heater and he was able to guide me through the whole process. He let me know that my heater was under parts warranty so it would be cheaper to get the parts under them and then he would do the labor to install it. I get the part and message him and get a very quick scheduling and he was on time and quick. Absolutely amazing service and will look into using him for my water heater issues moving forward. read more

Our water heater decided to go out by making lots of extremely loud booms. I called Water Heater Express to replace our hot water heater. They also installed a recirculation pump which brings hot water to our master bedroom on the other side of the house. No long wait to get in the shower and have hot water really fast! Love this and saving lots of water. They were very professional, cleaned up after and stuck to their estimate. We were able to get a professional grade unit for a fair price. I highly recommend them and would use them again. read more

Robert was really great to work with! He was able to review photos to discuss my water heater via text while I was at work, which no one else was willing to do and was so much easier with my schedule, and then we finalized plans once he came to check out the property (after hours, again so grateful). He had availability to replace everything within a day and again worked in the late afternoon so I could check everything out after work. He was also more up to date on keeping things up to code than my other bids, and he didn't try to upsell me on a tankless unit because it wasn't compatible with the pipes in my older house (no one else brought this up, only gave me expensive bids). I appreciate his work ethic and honesty, and again super grateful for his help right before the holiday! read more

Robert came out to assess my water heater and house water pressure. Since it was still in ok shape, he didn't charge me for anything up front and quoted me a price to have it replaced when I was ready. 6 weeks later my water heater leaked again. I text Robert (on New Year's Day) and he not only responded day of but was at my house to replace my water heater the next morning. He was done in 2 hours and replaced the plumbing lines and gas lines. Water heater works great and he honored his original quote even though he had increased his prices since the original quote. Water heater went out and the landlord lives super far away and asked us to step in. Inquired around and after discussing the specifics of multiple estimates we went with Robert at Water Heaters Express and he did not disappoint. Nothing short of the name and reputation. Answered back in a timely manner. Took the time to listen to the problem and didn't BS a quote. I sent him current pictures and he gave an out the door estimate that made me question why other companies were gouging with their quotes. Anyways. Service wise, he was a pro on the phone and you could tell he wasn't just out to snag invoices at quick fixes on a almost 13 year old cheaper branded tank that would just lead to having to install a new one. The day before, no names, but a guy came out and didn't even ask what was wrong he looked at the tank said he'd get a part and be right back. I had to stop him. I know it's the landlord's dime but swapping out two parts with almost $1200 in parts and labor is pretty close to a new water heater. Kindly asked him for a quote and he seemed upset, how are you going to gain business with that type of business attitude?? Thankfully that forced us to reaching out for more quotes leading us here!!! Other companies took a long time to answer back. On the job, I don't have much to say because it was smooth sailing! Robert got us an appointment within 24hrs and showed up on time with a shinny new Bradford White and was in and out with no hiccups! Gave us the tutorial on how to relight the pilot if it should ever go out. Paperwork was done, invoice was paid, and he was on his way. Professional craftsmanship like his made dealing with a contractor painless. Thanks again!! Would recommend him! Oh in light of the current situation we are in just an FYI he took all the precautions about PPE and it's Vacaville in the summer it was a cool 86 today and we were cool with him being up front about taking off the mask while in the garage working. We wanted him to be comfortable so he could work in decent conditions. We just developed a knock the door to the laundry room to give us time to put mask on. read more

We called Water Heaters Express about our leaking water heater and the owner Rob answered. He was great from the first time we spoke to him. He asked what kind of water heater (size) we had but I didn't know. We took a picture, text it to him and he let us know what we had, what we needed and that he could fix it next day. Wow, that's awesome. We asked if he could come out to take a look to do an estimate but there was no need he was able to quote us a price (which I will say was much more reasonable than the previous quote we received from another company) and we were happy with his price. I also liked that we could text him back and forth. Texting is easier to me. Plus, I have a message to refer to when I forget stuff. Rob let us know he'd be at the house at 10am and it would take 2 hours. He arrived on time (wearing a mask, nice) and completed the job exactly as he described. Rob is very friendly, professional and that made great experience for me. He cleaned everything up, removed all the old stuff, showed me how the new one worked (even though I already forgot, lol) and asked if I had any questions. The new heater is covered by a warranty but Rob is so great that I don't have any worries. He's been doing this for 20+ years and you can tell he really knows what he's doing. He accepts all forms of payment which was great. I was able to Zelle him, so easy. I'm happy we went with Water Heater Express. read more

I just had my water heater replaced with a high efficiency tankless unit by Water Heaters Express and couldn't be happier. My old unit was not installed to code and was not able to keep up with our household demands. I also needed to have about 8 feet of 3/4" gas lines installed in my crawl space. Robert and Andrew were fast, professional, and completed the work in four hours. The installation is clean as seen in the attached photos. They used quality equipment and parts, didn't cut any corners, and hauled away everything that was replaced. I highly recommend their services. read more

I was referred to Water Heaters Express by a neighbor when our aging hot water heater started leaking at around 8pm the night before a huge storm. I was afraid no one would reply to me on short notice! I called Robert and left a message and he called me back within 5 minutes. I sent him photos of the old water heater, which was about 20 years old! He gave me an estimate for a replacement over the phone and was here promptly the next morning, even working around an appointment that I already had scheduled. He was done in about 2 hours, and it was a super clean install, all new lines and braces and showed us how to restart the water heater, if it was ever necessary. Definitely recommend! Best customer service I've ever received! I called because our water heater kept shutting off. I didn't get the name of who I spoke with but he was so helpful and friendly. We got same day repair service on our water heater, so I'm not going to call him Robert, I'm calling him SUPERMAN! I can wait on a lot of things, but hot water for a shower is not one of them. Robert - I mean Superman - not only answered the phone multiple times, he took the time to find out what was really going on and told me interesting things, including that my water heater was still under warranty. Funny, the first place I called - the place that installed it a mere 3 years ago that couldn't help me until tomorrow - never mentioned that. With his guidance, I was able to reach the manufacturer, get the proper documentation to get a new $350 burner unit for FREE from a distributor, and Robert came and installed it for less than what the first place quoted. I didn't think superheroes were around much anymore but I was wrong. If you have water heater problems, don't waste your time calling anyone else! read more

I had sent photos of my water heater in my garage closet. Set up an appointment for 2/15/22 and Robert and Andrew were on time for the window of time discussed. They came in explained to me what they were going to do and proceeded to do a very efficient job. I liked the fact that they took the time to sweep the garage from any residue from their working. Both were very pleasant, and friendly and polite. Afterwards I invited Robert in and he went over the breakdown of the job, the cost, showed me the important parts to the permit, received my necessary signatures. His pricing was excellent! We even exchanged some personal testimonial stories and words of encouragement.I would highly recommend Water Heaters Express to any of my family and friends. Our water heater had been getting worse and worse (random shut offs, valve control failures, and more trouble)Called for a quote and he got back right away. Texted him some photos and got an estimate for replacing 40 gallon tank with another tank and a second quote range for tankless. Decided on tankless and he came the next day to give a more specific estimate - he was very respectful of our time and house. After getting the estimate I asked him to upgrade the unit (equivalent of replacing a 40 gallon with 50 gallon unit, but tankless - better if we need to use both showers and the washer at the same time). He immediately updated the estimate by the exact unit price difference. Started work just two days after the estimate. He did quick work but great on details (plywood backing into studs so placement was optimal, clean everywhere, set to my requested temp, etc) that will make the installation better for a long time and immediately just right. His price was the same as the lowest quote I got (of 7 different estimates as far and anywhere between Santa Rosa, Fairfield, and Concord). But the unit he installed was better reviewed and powered than anyone else, even the much more expensive companies. We got a Noritz EZTR50 (and upgrade from our 40 gallon tank to this tankless setup). He even contacted the manufacturer not to see if our Gad lines would work "good enough" but that they would be optimal even when temperatures drop to below freezing. He even explained how to descalce the heater annually without breaking the bank having a plumber do it each time. That maintenance cost could have negated any savings from the tankless setup, but now I'll just have a one time equipment cost (about $120) instead of paying a plumber $200+ every year. Great tip! I can't recommend Robert enough. The best price, great unit, no upselling, and SUPER fast from the first contact to never running out of hot water. read more

Our water heater decided it wants to be a jet and not a water heater so I got on Yelp to find a highly rated repair shop. Water Heater Express came up so I gave them a call, this is late on a Sunday, and Robert answered. He seemed very knowledgeable and was able to diagnose my issue over the phone and gave me a very fair estimate. I sent him a video the roaring heater afterwards as well to confirm his suspicion. Now I have to wait on Whirlpool for the replacement part and then have Robert do the repair. I will update this review once it's all done. Update - the part for my water heater came in this morning and Robert was able to come within hours to swap out the burner assembly and get our water heater back in action. Very satisfied with how quickly he was able to get this done. Communication with Robert was very good, being able to send him a video of my problem saved quite a bit of time. read more
