I'm on the fence about renewing my home warranty but I'm glad they were able to send me a company that I can refer to on my own that is reliable and great to work with. He did not provide any upfront pricing, nor did he tell us that there would be a fee before touching the unit. After doing a quick, simple adjustment, he charged us $125 without any prior notice. The heater only worked for a one time and then failed again the same day. When we called the company, the owner told us that our heater is "over 20 years old and cannot be repaired." If the unit was truly too old to repair, their technician should NOT have started any repair or charged us in the first place. This is misleading and unprofessional. We feel that this company did not follow proper business practices: * No upfront pricing * Performed unnecessary work * Charged without consent * Refused responsibility afterwards

I texted Fred yesterday, on a Saturday, because our unit in our new house (Not the one he installed) was having some issues. He came out on a Sunday and fixed it in 30 minutes, and DIDN"T charge us. Nic provided a very comprehensive presentation and walked us through the process. They provided an initial estimate, then came for a home visit to verify a few things. The estimate did not increase. We were able to schedule an install for the following week. They also coordinated some asbestos removal work we needed done. Communication was quick and thorough. The installation was done by Xavier and his team of 4. INCREDIBLE. Very respectful of our space-- at the end of the day, even on the days where they were cutting holes in the wall or dragging out old equipment, you couldn't tell they were here. Xavier was also great with communicating each day's activities and hours, and was mindful of my working from home and family dog. At the end of the job he walked through and explained how to use the system, as well as next steps for our permitting and inspection processes. There was a problem with a disconnected hose that was taken care of the next day. They also noticed some the asbestos abatement was not completed, and took care of communicating with the vendor to correct it. Nic called to follow up and make sure everything was working well a few weeks after the install. Would definitely recommend Electrify My Home! They are great to work with.

To be clear, Electrify My Home will likely not provide the cheapest estimate for your project, however, in my experience you get what you pay for and the quality of their service is high. Overall, we are happy with the results and would using Electrify My Home. We knew that our home's HVAC system was on it's last leg so I spent hours researching units, contractors, rebates, tax credits, etc. We knew that we wanted an electric heat pump system, not a gas furnace. I frankly found it challenging to find contracts that were responsive and knowledgeable about electric heat pumps. Many contractors did not respond in reasonably amount of time or told me that our electric panel could not handle a heat pump. Electrify My Home was different - they were very responsive and knowledgeable. First, I appreciated that they offered a virtual consultation to start the process. Through this virtual visit they explained their philosophy on electrification and HVAC, and were clear that we could install a heat pump with my existing electrical panel. After accepting the quote, the install was schedule for about a month later. A little longer than I would have hoped, but from talking with other contractor at the times it was normal given product stock and demand. The installation time took about 4 full days. This included removing existing units and duct work, install new units and duct work, and finishing with insulation. After installation the unit was working fine, although we didn't really need to use it that much given the moderate temperatures at the time. Fast forward about 2 months when the temperatures got a bit colder and the heat mode kicked in, or at least it was supposed to kick in. Unfortunately, it was not producing heat. I contacted Electrify My Home and they were able to come out within 24 hours. They discovered a leak in the unit and the unit needed to be replaced. They were able to secure a new unit and install the new unit within a few days. It was unclear to me if the leak had been present initially and should have been identified earlier, hence the 4-star rating rather than 5-stars. Even with the replacement unit, I've found Electrify My Home to very responsive and helpful throughout the process. I'd recommend using them for any electrification projects - in fact, I'm discussing additional projects with them right now.

All three men who installed the mini-split were bilingual (Spanish/English). Despite some other small issues, they did a very good job on the mini-split installation. Also, they will cap the gas pipe inside, not behind the wall unless you request otherwise.

I am a realtor and needed a HVAC inspection ($150), so I call All Weather since I had a great experience with them before for my own HVAC system. Art (Arturo) was assigned to the inspection. An email (with the tech's name and picture) and text was sent when he was on his way which is nice. Art did not rush the inspection and was very thorough. He took time to explain what he was doing and what he was checking for. Also took time to explain what maintenance items needed to be completed. Then provided a thorough report of the maintenance items needed and cost if they were to perform them.
