These guys are AWESOME! David and the crew were outstanding. Their pricing was great, and their timeliness and service were even better. My sewer line was backed up when we asked them to come out for a quote on the trenchless line replacement, so they first cleared the line RIGHT THEN for us. They followed up with a quote which was miles less than the other two I got. The crew came out and really got after it. They were done in a day. It feels so good to know that the old cracked, root-infested clay pipe is now a beautiful six-inch seamless sewer pipe. No more snaking for me!! And of course, no more nasty sewage backups in the shower stall! read more

Sewer Works had the best price to replace the sewer lateral at my Martinez duplex rental property. They use the trenchless method where they pull the new pipe through the old pipe. It was pretty amazing to watch the whole process performed by technicians that truly know what they're doing. They encountered a couple of unexpected problems which they handled at no additional cost. I would absolutely recommend Sewer Works for any sewer line repair or replacement. read more

I can't express how happy I am with Sewer Works. Working with Fernando and Linda made the whole experience easy. They are very knowledgeable and friendly, not to mention a fair price. The crew was very professional and worked quickly. Was very impressed with the clean up. I highly recommend working with them. read more

We needed a sewer lateral replacement from our home to the main line in the street. I contacted a few local companies to come by for quotes, but when Fernando came by, his price was very fair, he was honest, and he educated me about the process. I'm so glad we hired them; they did a fantastic job with a great finish. If you are considering their services, then definitely hire them. read more

I suffered inside plumbing problems for 3 weeks and found the companies Rodeo Sanitary works with and ran them all through Yelp. I was advised to get 3 estimates for a replacement lateral. Easier said than done. One company never returned my call, one was 1.5 hrs late for a confirmed appointment. The 3rd kept saying he couldn't estimate unknowns and there would possibly be add-on costs. In fact add-on costs were mentioned 3 times! And he wanted to match my 1st estimate. For the later. For 3 weeks I suffered problems....then I called Sewer Works. What a pleasant experience! A price was quoted and was firm and truly was what I paid. Both the owners were so compassionate and knowledgeable. When I finally signed their contract, it went so fast! I'm proud to say I am sewer-problem free. Later I was at a local business and the owners name came up--a sterling experience they had and I had no idea. The foreman, Jose, was competent, courteous and hard-working. He wanted my satisfaction and he gets it. Call Fernando or Linda and put your sewer problems in their hands with confidence. AND getting pictures throughout was wonderful. (They were also very helpful in my receiving, today, the lateral grant--a good working relationship with Rodeo Sanitary, pulling necessary permit, inspections and hand delivering needed paperwork and camera video timely to expedite these grant funds.) Ahhhh is all I can say now it all is working in this older home. read more

We had to have a new washer drain installed across our paver driveway and our landscaped front yard. We were told by plumbing services that we would have to have a pump installed. Fernando and his crew installed a gravity drain. They also replaced our sewer pipe which we decided to do at the same time as it was cracked. All of my questions were answered, and I was well informed - great communication. The work was completed in less than two days. The price was fair, the work was professional, and our driveway and landscape look unchanged. I can't speak highly enough of Fernando, Linda, Jose and the entire crew. We are so glad we chose them to do the work. read more

Needed a video inspection mandated by the county. Got quotes all over the place, Sewer Works was among the lowest. Prompt and good communication, showed up when scheduled, knocked it out, and spent some time with me educating me on the issues. Good outfit. read more

There's a reason they have 5 stars. Do not do as I initially did, i.e. be pennywise and pound foolish. I initially called Sewer Works after getting some dubious info from a local, well regarded plumbing company. I was pleasantly surprised to reach Linda. Unlike the other places, where the people answering phones did not know anything about the actual work, Linda was knowledgeable and gave the other plumbing companies the benefit of the doubt as to what they told me was needed. After our phone call I wanted to have Sewer Works inspect the line, but admittedly was a bit put off by the inspection fee, since so many other sewer lateral companies will do initial inspection at no cost. Well let me tell you, that fee is nominal and more than worthwhile. After getting a 3rd ridiculous estimate, I kept thinking about how knowledgeable and helpful Linda had been on the phone. And once the local plumber came back with a bid that claimed I needed a new line to a detached structure to pass the PSL test, and they would not put in that line without an ejector pump for total cost of $12k, I finally had the sense to call back Sewer Works. So glad I did. Fernando came out the same day, spent a good amount of time opening and looking at ALL the cleanouts, and told me he thought he could get the line to pass with minor adjustments, and he did. The total cost with some replaced couplings was less than the other places wanted to charge just for the PSL test. Do not be pennywise and pound foolish and balk at the initial inspection fee, as I did. In the end Sewer Works got the job done for literally 1/4 of the estimated price of two other companies, and in way less time, than anyone else I called. I absolutely recommend them. read more

Sewer Works did great work to do a video inspection of our sewer. Mr. & Mrs. Brazil were very helpful, knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. They responded to my query promptly, and their price is very reasonable. I highly recommend them to everyone who needs work done with their sewer. read more

Love them! They are so nice and professional and really went above and beyond to get a project done in a tight timeline.

I try to leave accurate reviews, for good or ill, and be as honest as possible. I am really impressed with Fernando and Linda and the entire crew; and the way our sewer lateral was replaced. Fernando came out the day of installation and looked at the job with new eyes. They 'ran' the pipe again, and took note of potential pitfalls and took steps to avoid or mitigate any bad outcomes. His careful prep paid off with a flawless job. Well done Fernando. You and your team put in a solid days' work. read more

The owners are very knowledgeable, professional, friendly and responsive. The crew were very professional and worked quickly to replace my new home's sewer lateral. They did the pipe burst method and therefore needed to do very little trenching near the house. They left everything as it was before trenching. They had time to do the job earlier than scheduled, which was welcome since I wanted this done asap and before the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. They completed the job in one day. They took care of all the permitting with the City. I couldn't have asked for a better experience with quality and speed of the work. I highly recommend Sewer Works. read more

I can't recommend Sewer Works enough!! I just purchased a house in Rodeo and needed sewer lateral work done. My real estate agent recommended Sewer Works. I got bids from multiple other companies and Sewer Works blew away the competition in price. Not only in price though, Sewer Works had way more positive reviews any other business. It was an easy choice to go with Sewer Works and I'm so glad I did. Fernando is super thorough, professional, and most of all friendly. Speaking with Fernando, I know that he truly cares about his company and strives for excellent customer service. His staff was also timely, knowledgeable, and professional as well. Rodeo offers a grant and I was surprised that Linda already filled out most of the application for me, making it that much easier. The whole team was awesome and I'd easily recommend them to anyone else. Sewer Works truly provides excellent customer service and low prices! read more

Thumbs up for Sewer Works for the job they did for us replacing the sewer laterals at our apartments in Crockett. Fernando and his crew did an amazing job with thoroughness and professionalism. Would highly recommend them for any sewer replacement you may need. read more

I needed a video inspection of the sewer lateral for a building permit in Richmond which had a list of companies. I was advised to get 3 estimates and that some companies did not charge for the service. The line didn't pass inspection so it had to be replaced and there was a program that would help with some of the cost. Sewer Works gave me a complete inspection, education and the best price. Fernando and Linda were a tremendous help in guiding me through the program as well as letting me know what to expect with the trenchless/pipe burst method of replacement. My later went under two driveways and into a neighbors flower bed to connect to the sewer. No concrete had to be destroyed only deep holes on either end. They were able to start a earlier than expected. The crew was extremely efficient and professional. They not only impressed me but also all the neighbors who stopped by to see the work. I couldn't have had a better customer experience. If you need to have sewer work done call this company, you won't be disappointed! read more

Sewer Works performed an extremely challenging sewer lateral replacement for us at a fair price and right on schedule. We live on a hillside, and the sewer goes downhill from the house to an easement with no access for construction equipment. Over 2 days, they hand carried everything down about 75 steps, hand excavated, and then burst the sewer with no glitches. These folks are responsive, fair, and highly technically qualified. I wish they could replace our lateral every year! (Whoa, let's not get carried away...) read more

Sewer Works did a fabulous job replacing my sewer lateral (trenchless) and trenching a new sewer tie-in for my main house. The whole Sewer Works crew worked efficiently, were professional and friendly, and all for a very reasonable price. Plus it's nice to work with a local family-owned and run business. Sewer Works was recommended to me by a friend to do a sewer line inspection. Fernando came out and did the inspection a few days after I called. He explained everything to me on the video and gave me honest advice and options. I ended up deciding to replace my sewer lines and couldn't be happier with Sewer Works service. Linda and Fernando (owners) quickly scheduled my permit inspections and got the process started. A couple weeks later the Sewer Works crew came out to get the job done. Fernando was on site working with his crew much of the time, and Jose (the crew lead) was very responsive and easy to work with the rest of the time. After finishing the job, the Sewer Works team did a great job re-asphalting the road and driveway, and relaying my brick pathway and landscaping that had been displaced during the work. I was impressed that the crew finished the job early and how well they cleaned up my property. I can't thank and recommend the Sewer Work team enough for such a stress-free process. read more

We had sewer works come out and replace our sewer line all the way to the main connection. They did not disappoint! Really top notch crew that expertly dug the two holes for the trenchless pipe burst and put it back like nothing happened. Great job controlling traffic. Thank you, Fernando. You saved us. New 68' long lateral from the house to the main line in the street. Your crew left our front & back yards very clean after doing all the work. Much appreciated! BTW, these guys recently did 3 or our neighbors houses with equal ethos and each neighbor recommended these guys to us. Today the crew is doing our next door neighbor's lateral. Thats 5 houses on 1 street in a 12 month period. I'd call that a very good review. read more

5 Stars is not enough! Based on my experience, Sewer Works deserves at least a 10! Efficiency, expediency, quality, courtesy, fair price, reliability, honesty, are a few of the characteristics that I look for when selecting a vendor. Sewer Works exceeded every expectation. Fernando went "over and above" to identify a very creative solution not considered (or not offered) by two other vendors I interviewed. And the cost estimates from the other vendors was 2-3x what Fernando charged...for a much better result. The crew was extremely efficient and left the worksite in pristine condition...removing all debris and restoring the original look to better than before. read more

I can't recommend Sewer Works strongly enough. Owned by Fernando and Linda Brazil this company is very well run and a pleasure to do business with. We had a situation where we needed to replace our sewer lateral and we needed to do it at a fair price as soon as possible. We talked to a number of plumbers/sewage contractors. Sewer Works responded quickly, showed up on time. The thoroughly inspected the site before they gave us an estimate. Their estimate was about 35% less than other services. Once we committed to working with them they did everything including excavation, permits, inspections and the replacement of the sewer lateral (they are experts in trenchless sewer line replacement). When they were done everything was put back to better than original condition. Great people. read more

My wife and I hired Sewer Works to install a new sewer line from our house to the street in early February 2023. We couldn't be more pleased with the job Fernando and his crew did. Fernando, Linda, and crew were great to work with. They were listed for the sewer lateral work during the home purchase process and after speaking with Linda via email we decided to go with them. We had to replace our sewer lateral for a remodel project for our home in Berkeley. We had 4 separate company's bid the project and Sewer Works was the fairest. Linda, Fernando and their crew were terrific. The run was exceptionally long (220 ft+), ran through three neighbors' properties, and had some gnarly twists and turns. Not only did they do a great job, but they navigated a somewhat prickly neighbor, making him happy in the end (against the odds!). read more

I am refereed to this company by my other sewer specialist from previous job. Surprisingly, this owner Fernando Brazil come the second day, has spent more than 1 hour to investigate details and patiently interpret the jobs I may consider. He suggests to deal with city main sewer inspection first, and then adjust my house sewer system. He has made the complexity to simplicity by steps. He also suggest me to update any possible responses from city sanitary department, request his presence if anything needed. He is very clear and thoughtful for customer. I am freshly learned something new from his discovery. He is outstanding comparing to others I have interviewed. read more

An enthusiastic 5-star review. We needed 3 estimates for the replacement of our sewer lateral to qualify for the West County Wastewater PIPES program. The company we've used in the past gave us what seemed a pretty high estimate. With the recommendation of realtor Renee Bartels (thanks, Renee!), we asked Sewer Works for an estimate, and I was blown away by their professionalism. Not only was their bid much lower, but Linda was very knowledgeable about the Pipes program, which is confusing and quirky. I'm sure she could answer questions on the rules for any of the Bay Area districts. Fernando and his team were completely efficient, did the job in one day as promised, left our property in perfect order, and he returned at the end of the day to answer any questions. If you need your lateral inspected or replaced, start with Sewer Works. They are exceptional. read more

I would highly recommend Sewer Works, Inc. to anyone who needs repair or replacement work done on their sewer line. Mine was broken on the bottom near the sewer main under the middle of the street and I opted to have the entire sewer lateral replaced, approximately 60+ feet. Fernando Brazil came out the same day I contacted his wife, Linda, about my dire situation with the sewer line backing up. The very next day, I signed a contract that Linda had drawn up The public utility people came out the next day and marked their lines on the street and sidewalk. The work began soon afterwards and was completed in the early afternoon of the same day. Everything was so organized and moved rapidly forward. The communication was always professional, clear, and timely and Fernando's crew of hardworking young men were competent and meticulous. When they were finished, my lawn, which they did not dig into, and planter area near the house looked just as they had before. The asphalt patch in the street, over the connection to the main sewer line, was likewise perfect. Linda drew up a contract which included that all the paperwork - permits and certificate - would be handled by Sewer Works, which made life very easy for me. It was a pleasure doing business with Linda and Fernando Brazil and they kept me well informed throughout the entire job. read more

Through the purchase of my home I've came across of number of terrible businesses with horrible customer service and this by far was not one of them. Fernando and Linda provided exceptional customer service when our lateral sewer line broke just as my entire family came down with covid in mid-March. Fernando and the crew have been efficient, hard working, great at problem solving on site, and operating like a well-oiled team. They worked really well with the city and had everything squared away for permitting, marking, and inspection in a very timely manner. Everyone has been very personable, and the flat fee to cover the cost much appreciated. No surprises. They did a great job of clean up. I would highly recommend this company. Professional is a word that comes to mind. Fernando and Linda are the ultimate husband and wife team. Fernando was extremely diligent about the work he and his crew performed. When I came back home the job was done and what a job it was. You could hardly tell that my yard was dug up. Plants, grass, irrigation were put back exactly where they belonged. Fernando took time to explain what his crew was doing and why. Needless to say, I learned a lot about sewer laterals :-). Linda kept me updated throughout the process from county grant to scheduling the job and all of the communication with the county leading to truly seamless experience. Linda helped us schedule an estimate soon after we reached out, and Fernando came and gave a very competitive estimate. Scheduling was extremely easy and they were also flexible with shelter-in-place complications. A few days before the job, Linda reached out to let us know what to expect, and answered some follow-up questions we had. The day of, Fernando and his crew showed up on time, and were nice enough to let us know when we could use the water during the job and when we could not -- very thoughtful. Finally, we were extremely impressed with their clean-up. They left our landscaping looking excellent, even replacing the mulch on top. Really great and friendly company.
