LOOKS MOST CERTAINLY CAN BE DECEIVING! This car dealership looked friendly enough, yet when I got out of my car there was a man outside screaming and cursing. Come to find out, he worked there... So I test drive the car I drove 70 miles to see and when we pull back into the dealership I smelled oil burning under the hood. When I mentioned this to the salesman he said "It smells like Armor All". Then I seen the smoke.... At this time, the salesman said he refuses to sell me this car "Even if I paid him double"... STAY AWAY! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED read more

Recently purchased a car here and had got a crack in the winshield within the first week I had the car...Darn rocks from a Semi Truck dumping part of it's load on the freeway...Anyhow...I took it back to the dealership for help, just because I needed it to get fixed ASAP before it split across the whole windshield. The guys in the Service Department took care of me super fast (within a day) and got their local windshield repair guy to come and and replace the windshield for a great low price as well. Also while here the service/electronic guys took a look at my radio head unit and adjusted some controls I was having some difficulty with...and now I don't have any issues with them at all. Now the reason why I posted this is most dealerships sell you a used car and then your on your own after you drive it off...At this dealership...they really treat you like your their family and do their best to go above and beyond to help you out if they can...but they really did for me and I just wanted to share my great experience. read more

I signed th papers to purchased a vehicle from Cypress Motors that had a workorder to get the A/C recharded because the HVAC was not blowing cold air. I left my car there over the weekend and I was told I could pick the car up the following weekday. The day comes but the car was not ready because it needed a new compressor. I was told the car had to be picked up from Fullerton Auto Square, a sister dealer. Four business days after I paid for the vehicle, I picked the car up from Fullerton Auto Square. Two days after that, the A/C stopped working. I took the vehicle back to Fullerton Auto Square two day after that. Two more days after they called me up to say the car was ready. I picked up the car the following day and not half a mile after I drove away, the A/C stopped working. I stopped keeping track of all the A/C issues that occured following the first couple but basically my friend and I drove to Fullerton several times in the course of the following month to get this issue resolved. Fullerton Auto Square was just as irresponsible and unresponsive as Cypress Motors. I am very unhappy with the service. read more

Purchased a 2016 Dodge Ram Pro Master van, drove it for 70 miles and broke it down. A/C had no refrigerant, battery is bad and transmission jumps when shifting to reverse or drive, and check engine light came on. I contacted dealership to ask about warranty since vehicle had been purchased 48 hrs prior, no one was able to explain what the warranty or return policy is. I took van back to dealership the following morning (Friday), it now Monday and still waiting to hear from them, I have called multiple times and have been told that they will call me once mechanic looks at van. How long does it take for a mechanic to inspect a car? It is obvious that vehicle was never inspected fully before it was sold or maybe it was and dealership is all about ripping people off. Dealership was quick to take money for vehicle and now they are in no rush to address issue with repairs. I will update once I hear back from dealership. read more

Worst ever especially Danny the sales guy less than one week before my 30 days was up he has someone else call me to tell me I have to come in for a change in contract bc the bank dropped a bunch of loans. Asked for my keys when I got there and that was the last i had them they took the car I had gotten bc they were unable to finance me apparently after they proceeded to run my credit with other banks without notifying me of doing so and after not giving me any knowledge of going to take the car I went in that night with my 1.5 year old son who had a fever under the pretense I was just resigning papers and then proceeded to tell me my deposit wasn't going to b ready till Monday (Friday night I was there) so u take someone's car and keep there money so they can't get a car? Uh no and then have the nerve to say if I want to keep the car till at least Monday when I'll b getting my deposit back that I will b paying for mileage put on... And Danny Mister contact me for anything suddenly won't answer his phone or talk to me or even look at me when I got there POS place especially since they wrote the check out to my maiden name and I had problems cashing it after they wouldn't change it when I told them all together worthless if I could give them no stars I would read more

I recently purchased a 2015 Chevy Silverado from this dealership they had advertised. I really liked the truck, so I went in and met with Johnny! He was very helpful and courteous! I will say this to anyone going here, they do not negotiate on the price! We went back and forth over other costs. I have excellent credit and they originally offered 3.99%, but I knew they could do better. Jose started to deal with me from then on and he knew I wanted the truck. They finally offered 2.99% and eliminated other costs that I did not need (extended warranty, guaranteed 5 day contract, etc). I love my truck!! It was everything they advertised! I test drove it and it was exactly what I wanted! I opted for a credit union financing and used the "option contract" where my credit union sent the dealership a check for the full amount within 3 days! I would purchase from them again knowing what I know now. They treated me really well. They have some amazing cars on their lot!! read more

We acquired a nice, used Honda at this location--the only surprise was the mandatory LoJack, or LoJack type deal (don't recall exactly) that was installed in the car. But the point is, they will not negotiate on it's installation or the cost. Ok, it is pretty up front. Is the price for the system fair? I have no idea, honestly. But the overall cost for the car, was reasonable, the salesperson was nice, no complaints. They did not come up with costs at the last minute. It was also pretty quick, surprisingly so. Used to spending hours when I don't want to do that, no 10X10 sweat room here. However, the only thing that concerns me are all these really negative Yelp reviews; I have a background in testing and measurement and I know you need quite a large sample size to conclude anything and yet, I have glanced over so many now, 25 total, only 5 were positive, I must say I am perplexed. A sample size of 25 is pretty good to draw conclusions, UNLESS, someone out there is hiring people to write bad reviews. Could that be the case? I have heard of that happening, so it is not a new concept. I also note that management has made an effort to reply to each and every one of the bad reviews. Perhaps management can reply to what I have noted in the count. By the way, there are many pages of reviews, my group only came from the first page, hardly a "random" sample, so I am not trying to make a definitive statement, other than the obvious, that there are many bad reviews-and as I said, either it indicates a problem with them OR it indicates someone is out to get this business. FOR ME--I RECEIVED A GOOD DEAL AND WAS TREATED WELL. If I were management of this place, and was being shammed, I would be mad as hell--but if that is not happening, then of course the customer has the right to be concerned. All I can say is, let the truth step forward, one way or the other. There is a car, right now, listed over there that I want--but I admit these Yelp reviews have me worried. But I for one, want to be fair. read more

DO NOT PURCHASE A CAR FROM HERE! I was sold a lemon and am unable to do anything about it. I have had my car for 3 years now and have put close to $10,000 of repairs into it. Not to mention I still owe $12,000 on it. I haven't driven the car in 8 months because it no longer runs. It's currently in the shop again and looking like I'll need to buy a new engine. These guys do NOT care if they are ripping you off. They are the LOWEST OF THE LOW. F**K FULLERTON AUTO! read more

I will preface this with saying they attempted to right the situation after I slapped a Car Max appraisal in front of them. However, the issue is poor business tactics and loss of trust with the customer. I was working out a trade in with Auto Republic, everything seemed to be going fairly until the salesman brought in the financing. They showed me a monthly payment, that I mentioned I could afford, and requested I sign at the bottom of the page right away. This was a red flag as we had not finalized the offer for my car or negotiated a price for the vehicle of which I was interested in. When I inquired about the value they would give me for my car, the salesman said they offered to pay off my loan. The loan was less than half of what the car was worth. Be CAREFUL and make sure you get every detail before they try to go to financing. Low balling and not providing full transparency is poor business etiquette - I would never do business with anyone who didn't work with integrity. Helpful tip for buying a car - go to a Car Max and get an appraisal first (they offer a fair price and most dealer will match or give you more). Work with someone who you can trust and earns your business. read more

I cannot even give this 1 star. Literally they lied to us. The calculator on the website did not include many "secret charges" that they don't tell you until they get you into to drive their cars. We spoke with Johnny for 3 days regarding a truck for my son. We actually made an appointment to come down (which for us was an hour and a half drive) to BUY the car and to our horror it was being test driven and sold in front of us. He didn't even have the decency to let us know so we wouldn't make the hour and a half drive down there. I would not recommend this dishonest place to anyone nor would I ever go back there. DISHONESTY is their game. So disappointing and bad business. Their general manager didn't even back us up...he was up for the buck and since they came while we were on our way, they sold the truck to them. My advice? Don't waste your time with a bunch of liars....especially Johnny. read more

Out of all the car purchases I have made throughout the years this was by far the easiest and best experience I have ever had with a dealership. The sales person Ana and finance manager Harold were amazing, after 20 minutes of phone call I was able to get approved for the most beautiful Camaro SS I have ever seen! The finance manager even delivered it to my door the same night. He explained everything in detail and their warranty is second to none. I will definitely be back to this dealership when I am in the market for another vehicle. read more

They should learn how to tell the truth about what vehicles they have on their lot. Is it so hard to say it's sold or update their website??! Calling from out of state to purchase a truck and calling them numerous times about the availability of the vehicle and they said they have it still on the lot. I called and spoke with Angel about a tacoma 30 mins before closing and asked him if the vehicle was still available, have him the stock number and a description of the vehicle. He said yes. So I flew the red eye so to speak to purchase the vehicle the next day and when I got there, it just so happen they couldn't find the vehicle and it was sold. They tried to sell me other trucks on the lot even after I told them I only wanted the Tacoma. Waste of time and money so buyer beware if you are buying from out of state. They don't care how much effort you put to get there, they don't keep on touch with you. A simple "hey we just sold the truck, or since you are flying here from out of the state, we'll hold it for you". One word to sum up this place is LAME! read more

They keep their word!!! Unbelievable when I consider how many shady experiences I've had with the place that rhymes with CARTAX and other outfits. They gave me the full value from AutoTrader.com. No one else even came close. I'm 53 years old and I've bought and sold several vehicles and this has been by far the best, most honest experience I've ever had. They were fast, professional and courteous. None of the usual low ballin' that I've seen in the past. Ask for Sean Addison and Desmond Thompson. Both of them helped me. Great guys too. (These guys and how they honor AutoTrader.com offers must be the best kept secret around. I drove up from San Clemente and it was worth it.) read more

1st I was fortunate enough to get Johnny. He is professional, experienced and easy going. I'm a techy and detail oriented. I researched cars + dealer experiences. I am skeptical of car dealerships. This dealer is straight-forward, real and honest. You can let your guard down and buy a car with confidence they will not rip you off or slide in hidden fees. The no haggle prices are exceptional when you consider mileage and features on the cars. No haggle is the way to go. I had no hidden fees. When I asked them for a list, they gave it to me. All reasonable and normal fees. No big 800+ or 1500 + add on fees at all. I bought a 2011 BMW 550i. Strongly recommended. Their system tied directly into SFCU and we signed and did my pre-approved loan from SFCU in 30 minutes. Amazing! Best car buying experience EVER. read more

The buying part was ok. The after part leaves much to be desired. Car only had one key and no spare, which I didn't realize til about a week later. Both put a dent in my pocket. When I took car to be serviced at a Kia dealer, was informed that some wires had been rerouted and would have to get that fixed before car could be smogged in the future. Obviuosly, AR had something to do with this as they smogged the vehicle before we bought it. They refused to fix the problem. Never again!! read more

Don't buy here. Very bad experience. Bought truck with leaking headgaskets that showed up a as low coolant warning as soon as I left business. Call and got run around for a week. Do not buy with out a warranty in writing. Not happy. I only pout a star because I had to to post. read more

Called dealer about a specific Kia Optima they had for sale. Asked if it was on the lot and for show. They said yes come on down. Should have asked if they had the title to the car. Went through all the song and and waiting for about 15 min to work the final price only to come back and tell me they dont have the title to the car they are trying to sell. It was a good price for the car now I know why. Shady tactics and a waste of my time. Be careful and ask a million and 1 questions before you go down there. read more

Originally came here to look at a 2015 M3. Initially told me the car had a clean title and no accidents whatsoever. During my inspection, noticed flaws in regards to the rear bumper. There was a distinct yellow tint on the bumper. When I brought that up they mentioned is was the lighting causing that yellow tint. Upon further inspection, noticed that the rear bumper had some loose screws causing the rear bumper to rattle. They then brought me inside and eventually told me the car was in two accidents. Failed to inform me of this in the very beginning.. Just some info if you are interested in purchasing the WHITE 2015 BMW M3. Buy at your own risk. read more

I finally decided to write about my experience at this dealer. They have good customer service. Unfortunately as a first time buyer I had a horrible experience. I didn't know how buying a car worked, but I didn't test drive the car so I was okay with it. Until I was signing the contract they decided to gime me the car history. They car had been in 4 major car accidents and has major damage on the body frame work. I should have said something but i didn't because I had already signed the contract. After a few days of having the car, it started making a rattling noise near the motor. I check it underneath and the whole plastic that cover underneath the car was hanging and dragging on the floor. Also the break pedal is all patched up with a piece of wood. Why would someone sell this to another person. Now I'm stuck with a car that I'm not happy with, and most importantly I' don't know when will it give up on me. I don't know what to do!! read more

Bought a vehicle from them about a year ago and still have issues with it til this day. If its not one thing its another. Once you sign youre basically on your own because they fail to answer calls and the manager is always busy according to them. When i first turned on the vehicle i heard a noise and sergio acted like he didnt hear anything he just asked what noise. He even chased me down to buy the vehicle asking me not to leave. The vehicle had alot of cosmetic issues as well as internal issues. I would not recommend going there. I took it to get an issue fixed and the car sat in the same spot they didnt even bother to wash it. They basically gave me the run around and i had to figure things out on my own. I took it to a certified bmw dealer and have been fixing issues since aside from the 16% interest rate i was given. Im a first time vehicle buyer and definitely will not be going to a small dealer like this id rather go to a bigger certified dealer as i have been getting better service from them than i ever got from the dealer i bought it from. Thanks but no thanks. read more

Although there are certainly mixed reviews for Fullerton Auto Square, I had a very positive experience with this dealership. I had been looking for an Infiniti G35 for over 3 months. I finally found one online, but it was at this dealership - well outside of my area, and I didn't have time to drive there to look at the car. So they brought it to me! Upon visual inspection, the car was almost exactly as pictured (with the exception of one small tear in a corner of the drivers seat), and looked like it was in very good condition cosmetically overall. After an inspection by my mechanic, they said the car was in great mechanic condition as well. The only reason I didn't give four stars was because I was under the impression from our discussions that the car had Bluetooth and an MP3 jack, but upon receiving the car, I found that it did not. However, a dealership and car salesperson (Pablo) that is willing to deliver a reliable car in great codition to an out of the area buyer at no additional charge gets a great review from me. read more

So after an unbelievable act, the service manger reached out to me to assist with the vehicle. I had 1,000 dollar repair that make truck needed ASAP, on something that involved the axle. Something i doubt any buyer would know what or how to look for. The manger offers to "extend s helping hand" after reading my review. He eventually offers to have my fuel tank problem done free of charge. After I drive over one hundreds miles there, my truck is diagnosed with a bad fuel cluster, thus leading to the tank only filling half way. I ask to mechanics what this is, again I am asked what I'm talking about and laughed at. As the manager Jose, tried his best to explain something that he had no idea about to someone who cared, he stumbled over his words, paused and could not even fool himself. I ask for a service part number on the vehicle. I gave him a copy of the repair I had done, hoping his "helping hand" would prevail. He took it and never mentioned it again. One last thing that a buyer should not have to worry about is the grilll of a vehicle, mine I found was zip tied on, I found out the hard way when int fell off and the zip ties broke. I emailed pics and info to jose the manager with no reply on the incident. I even brought the grill down for the fuel repair, I asked if they were even going to adress it. Jose said no and I told him that it wasa zip tied when he sold it to me. He had nothing to say. After not believing their stories on repair, I asked for a part number from him and a possible work order, anything that has info on what exactly is going to be done to my truck. He tells me the part was ordered and will be here in one week. Meanwhile he wasted my day, fuel, time and confidence in this company, not even willing to assist in fuel. Yes I know that is far fetched but nothing was compensated and I felt they continued to go back to their old ways. After thirty min he came back with a part number, I had my brother in laws, highly rated auto shop, check out this part number...it was for disc brakes. I call and email Jose only to be given the run around and told any work order I asked for would not be given to e because the service was gonna be free and those don't have work orders. My biggest mistake is when I got there today, there was a man buying another Toyota vehicle, I should of told him what to look for, how to check it, and how Fullerton Auto Square will not cover, protect, or care about you once you leave the lot. I am only relieved in the fact that I will never communicate with them again, they lie, cheat and have zero respect for people in general. I don't believe in stereo types but from what I hear, the staff at Fullerton Auto Square are true definitions of used car sales men. If you find your vehicle there, move one. Don't click or estimate it, there is a sad reason that vehicle is on that lot. read more

I was interested in selling/trading in my vehicle so I submitted my vehicle information on KBB and was contacted by Erica. She explained the easy process of selling my vehicle and mentioned that they had a wide selection of vehicles to choose from if I decided to trade in my vehicle. We set an appointment to get my vehicle appraised and to browse their inventory. When I arrived checked in with her and they started appraisal on my vehicle, let me mention every employee I came across was very friendly and courteous. Meanwhile EJ assisted me in showing me vehicles that fit my needs... no pressure whatsoever. He explained details of vehicle's thoroughly. I fell in love with a 2014 Infiniti Q50 and after doing my research realized they're prices are great which explains why they're haggle-free. On top of that I couldn't refuse the offer they gave me on my trade, top dollar I'd say. BEWARE!! This place is horrible! When looking for a car I thought I would check this place out because it looked high end from the pictures and also the area was a good location, I was WRONG!! At my arrival I asked if I can look at a car and had questions for both cars, JOSE made an attitude as if it was a inconvenience to go get the keys! Wow really?! He finally comes back and has this snotty attitude and when I ask him questions about the car he acts as if I'm at his personal home asking him questions and was very unknowledgeable, at that point I really did not have that nice accommodated feel that was gonna be taken care of looking for the right car, eventually they give me an appraisal for my car was low balled me for things that would cost them $50 dollars to fix, I ended up getting 2k more at a certified ford dealer with nothing mentioned like auto republic did! Wow! JOSE pretty much said he wouldn't check to see what kind of interest rate I would approve of unless i guaranteed I was going to buy the car for sure!! Oh come on! I get there, and was told the lady had left, by a guy named Jesse. He told me "that vehicle was sold yesterday." Wow. ***BUYERS BEWARE***I have pushed this review back for about three months. This place is a SCAM! David, who handles the paperwork, made us sign a contract for the OPTIONAL insurance, which he did not disclose to us and that IT IS OPTIONAL. He told us that it was required, and he also made us sign a contract with which the contract paper was covered by his hand that cost 500 for a cancellation fee. Furthermore, we when emailed him and called him during the normal business hours the same day, he never picked up. However, when we called the dealership, the receptionist answered and directed us to him. He made up this bullshit comment that the car insurance was already installed in the car when they bought the car from an auction. He said even though it is written optional on the contract, it is not. It was not until when a male figure talked to David for me when he told us that he would fix it. I felt discriminated as a woman and as a minority. So we scheduled the appointment and went in, but David was not there. Figures. Fortunately, we were able to meet the manager named Ishmael. He had the contract with him and fixed it for us. He told us that he did not know where David was, although it was evident that he knew exactly where he was because we were going to make out situation very public in front of him. Moreover, Ishmael begged us not to write a bad review and that this tactic is just business. Just business! Not only the manager, but also one of the employees named EJ (we made an appointment with him to see cars, but he never showed up) also told us that he was sorry and that it was just business. It is as if they are doing business as if they do not want to have a business tomorrow. Ridiculous. Additionally, Johnny (the bald, short, white man) initially catered to us to help but was extremely unkind. He did not let me test drive the car I wanted to drive. Even more ridiculous. Even more discrimination. When I bought the car, another man (Tito) helped us or should I say "try" (he did not even open the vehicle hood for me). THIS PLACE IS A NIGHTMARE!!! When I got home, I found previous owners' license plates in the trunk, and in the glove compartment the owners' registration. It frustratingly appears that the Auto Republic does a shitty job. I have been telling everyone (family friends, college graduates, and numerous high school graduates who inquired me about where I bought my car) to stay away from this place and to spread this knowledge. I know now to not buy cars from here. DO NOT BUY CARS FROM THIS SCAM OF A PLACE!!!! Since of the customer service rep will probably reach out to me and reply to my review I will say this. If David Gahr is gone, will the manager be gone too as well as EJ? The manager himself and EJ stated that it was business and that is how business works. It seems David was just following orders. I am curious to read what excuses will be conjured up. *** Side note: In total, I have visited this dealership four times. I have also visited the Auto Republic in Santa Ana, and they are much nicer and have allowed me to test drive their cars. read more
