I just have to be honest. I've gotten about 5 oil changes here and 1 tire rotation for my Lexus…read more2WD. After the tire rotation, for the next day or two I kept hearing a strange squeaking sound from my wheels. When I came in to get it double checked, they realized that they overlooked the fact that my front and rear tires were different sizes. So my tires were basically mismatched. Funny enough, they didn't even credit back the cost of the tire rotation that they mangled, putting me in danger. Then my wife came in to get a simple oil change. When 2 attendants were finishing up under the hood, we heard a loud sound and saw a lot of fumbling. My wife and I immediately looked at each other, suspecting that they broke something. We drove off and found a parking lot and indeed, they broke the coolant cap. We went right back and talked to the two guys. One tried to act like they didn't touch the cap. The other, however, was honorable enough to admit that they had touched it. He told us to come back the next day to get it fixed. Accidents happen. But the lack of accountability and apology is what confounds me. I've been to many Jiffy Lubes since it's obviously a national chain. I've never had this kind of experience before. Seriously, go there at your own risk.

The staff here are professional, personable and caring. I completely support Eschen Automotive for car care, especially if you own an Asian import, which is what they specialize in. This small, family-run business is located in the Wilburton neighborhood of Bellevue in a small business complex. They're only open during the weekdays from 8am-5pm, and appointments fill up quickly. I usually call and make an appointment and am able to be scheduled on a day and time that works best for me, which is always nice. The oil change usually takes an hour, and I recommend bring a check or cash for payment as there is a 3% credit card charge. You don't have to stay for the oil change, but they have seats if you plan to hang out. PLUS, there's Rosie! Rosie is the owner's dog and hangs out at the shop. She is super sweet. The owner always lets me bring my dog into the shop, too, allowing my dog to sit up on the chair. Best staff ever! If you're in need of an oil change on an Asian import that's quality care, affordable, and goes beyond the routine check-up, then Eschen Automotive is the best option in Bellevue.

Rec'd call Thursday afternoon the engine had so much oil on it they could not tell either. They needed to steam clean the engine and then could go from there. $90 to steam clean it. They steamed cleaned it and cannot find a leak come get the car. $259.00 later I was told drive it for a week and see what happens, the man at the counter kept going on and on about all the oil on the engine. (I had the oil changed and the oil filter was put on incorrectly causing oil to spill all over). 45 minutes later still leaking fluid. Called shop after inspection the engine it was not steam cleaned and if it was it was a terrible job. I was told again that it had so much oil and it was cleaned, when I pressed the issue I was told it was pretty much just done to get the oil off and not a full cleaning. Again told to just watch it and see what happens, it might be residue in the oill pan. Well let me tell you I can see the fluid dripping and do not understand why they cannot. I do not believe they did anything to my car and kept it for 5 day, the man at the counter is curt and treated me like I had no idea what I was talking about. He was great to deal with -- amazing customer service! Since his oil change guy called in sick that day, he was the only one in the shop. Another customer showed up that had an appointment the same time as me. Tom did both cars in a little less than an hour. Wow! I'm impressed! The cost of a full synthetic oil change is $20 cheaper at this shop than what the Subaru dealer charges and also cheaper than what Jiffy Lube charges. Not to mention, they use Amsoil oil. Because of the high quality of Amsoil oil, with full-synthetic oil, I don't need another oil change for 10,000 miles.
