I retired a year ago after 33 years as a professional auto mechanic. I have done plenty of A/C work over the years. I recently replaced the compressor, accumulator, condenser and orfice tube in my 2000 Silverado. I could not get the correct pressures in the system no matter what I tried. I reached out to Auto Air Pros by email and received a call the next morning stating that if I brought my vehicle in they could check my work. I hate anyone working on my cars. I have been racking my brain for a week and getting nowhere so I took it in. Within minutes they started finding parts that while "correct" according to the parts store, weren't the best for my vehicle. After an extremely favorable recommendation from a friend and driving over an hour to get to Auto Air Pro, I found Auto Air Proto be an excellent Automotive AC shop. Steve is the owner, an incredibly nice guy and honest person. Steve has 5 technicians under his guidance and they all do good quality work at a fair price. I met my son at Auto Air Pro, he has a 2010 Challenger. Steve and his team found a Schrader valve leaking, recovered the remaining refrigerant, replaced the Schrader valve, vacuumed the system and refilled. After the repair they checked the entire system for leaks numerous times and numerous ways. My son's A/C is now working as good as new. I have a 2002 Silverado that has needed a can of A/C refrigerant every year. Steve and his team found both Schrader valves leaking, recovered the remaining refrigerant which was .3 lbs too much, replaced the Schrader valves, vacuumed the system and refilled after which the A/C was working fine. As I drove into Lake Elsinore to get a bite to eat and got stuck in traffic I noticed the A/C stopped blowing cold air. Getting back on the freeway cold air returned. Drove back to Auto Air Pro and Steve immediately diagnosed the magnetic clutch on the compressor was intermittent because the clutch gap was too wide. They jacked up the truck and removed a spacer washer in the clutch assembly and I was good to go. Steve wasn't going to charge the clutch repair however I gave him a tip as it is probable another shop would have charged me for a clutch or an entire compressor. Definitely worth a drive to get your A/C fixed right. read more

I decided to try them for my air conditioning in my VW and they fixed it within a day for under 1000 brand new compressor very satisfied with their work it's a Home shop so it's not a big fancy repair shop but they do what they do best air-conditioning. I really can not say enough about this AC repair shop. Long story short , I had a collision with my truck and after the collision repair shop was done and after a month and 4 visits could not find why my ac would loose a charge. I hit a big rock which pushed in my lower bumper in while trying to conduct a home visit for a client on a dirt road. Steve's shop was the closest and I decided to give him a call and drove to his shop. I thought I was going to need to replace it, but he took a look at it and said he can probably just pop it out.
