Bottom plate didn't need to be replaced.

There's no difference in price taking your Mac here or going to the Apple Store. They want $495.00 before tax for a 2017 - 15" Mac Book Pro Battery! 3 to 7 day turn around. I found another Apple Certified Service provider who quoted $219.00 for the same new Battery before tax. 1 hour turn around. Pic below is what an Apple Battery can do when it fails. It starts off by not being able to close the lid, to full blown swollen. Apparently from here they can explode.

This is my preferred place to purchase my personal and business apple electronics. All the employees are knowledgeable and helpful. I sent a messaged through their website on a Sunday and Monday morning the owner returned my call to discuss my question. When I call them they answer the phone, which is rare these days!! If you don't want the Apple lines - visit Mac Works. You won't be disappointed.

As the…read moreAdministrative Assistant at Tucson Dermatology, I can confidentially say that this IT team definitely can handle a medical practice for employee emails, computer access, upgrading computers, and technology hardware issue support. Even from remote locations. The owner of our practice and head dermatologist Dr. Adelman has been with Frankenstein since his time as a provider in Austin Texas from 2008 up until present day 2026 in Tucson, Arizona. Alex has assisted us in our time here in Tucson, AZ remotely, and you cannot tell the difference whether it is remote or in person. Mitch at Frankenstein has helped us out remotely with ethernet dock replacement issues, and from Texas! Alex makes sure we are comfortable after every requests. They really care and take out the time to get the job done. I can vouch for these guys any day of the week!

They proceeded to use her phone line to apply for credit, etc. Scary, invasive and cruel. The first thing I did when I got back was have Jeremy from Frankenstein Computers help me tackle the hardware aspects of the problem. He was outstanding. I had…read morelow hopes given the volume of the spill, but went forward anyway because I like the computer (fast, large screen, lots of RAM). I've noted the AustinPCTech office in its current location for years, but had never had the occasion to use their services. I went there blindly, as I knew of their longevity from personal observation, and doubted any business would survive in NW Hills without being reputable. I was greeted by Robert and explained my quandary. He advised a reasonable course of action and took the hardware into their work stream. Luck reigned when findings were rendered the next day: the keyboard was toasted but the motherboard, etc were unscathed. A replacement keypad was ordered; Robert worked with me to schedule shipping in accordance with my priority so we could manage cost as much as possible. The part arriveda few days later: I was advised of it's arrival and told to expect a call on completion the next day. Robert called first thing on the day promised -- he must've cranked the work overnight. Back in business, albeit, now using a USB-connected external keyboard to allay risk of another catastrophe while I quaff another cup of joe.

I was going to replace my motherboard, but then they ran some tests and said my hard drive was also failing. After the quote for both it wasn't worth saving the computer so I jsut had them save my data for my new computer. They only minor thing is their hourly rates for working on things seem a bit high, but that's just an initial impression I didn't do any price comparison shopping so I could be wrong. Either way you can't go wrong with this place, good service, great work, at (i think) a decent price.
