Stopped in for the first time last weekend. I like cold coffee drinks like the Stargbux double shots or hot coffee with cream and sugar. The counter help was super friendly and took my order as I explained my preferences. I received my iced mocha latte and took off. The coffee drink was pretty good. The cup was a little on the strong and smoky side but good. I would definitely go back and try a hot coffee next time. read more

Sent me into Anaphylaxis. Since I have a dairy allergy (among multiple others), I asked about ordering an Orange Crush since it sounded fruit-based and dairy-free. She said they could make it dairy-free, giving me confidence that it'd be safe. I took a few sips, noticed my mouth was tingling, then went up and asked to make sure it was made without dairy, only for them to show me it was made with white chocolate powder (which contained powdered milk). She didn't ask if I was okay, only if I wanted my drink remade. My friends whisked me to the hospital after I self-injected my epi-pen to combat my anaphylaxis symptoms, and I spent the rest of the day there. I've talked to the staff about paying my hospital bills, but they haven't given me a concrete answer or even apologized for sending me to the hospital. Clearly, none of the staff understood how to handle food allergies, and their negligence cost me massively. I won't be going back, and I encourage those with dairy or tree-nut allergies to avoid this establishment at all costs. Austin Grind, if you're reading this, please train your employees on food allergies before you kill someone. read more

Came in to enjoy some heat and some tea, and also to charge my phone/computer, while waiting for my apartment's electricity to be restored. The staff was very kind and friendly, going out of their way to make sure I had a table with an outlet to charge my devices. Plus, I had damn good tea. read more

This a quaint spot with good outdoor seating. The iced chai was great! The indoor seating is limited, but could be a good spot to work for a bit. The staff was friendly and they even filled my reusable cup! Only reason for the four star review is for the fabric chairs inside. I stopped at Austin Grind after going to the gym one day recently and the service was wonderful. The two baristas were pleasant and you could tell other patrons had great relationships with them as well. Coffee was expensive but it is a coffee shop. About $7 for my coffee. (Latte with oat milk). They do have a drive thru as well if you're in a time crunch. read more

Service here is good. The drinks are *extremely* sweet. Do not ever order anything "regular". Even the half sweetened drinks taste about the same as a fully sweetened drink elsewhere. I like the PSL and the pellet ice cubes are nice. read more

I really enjoy taking time to work here on my laptop and grab an iced latte/gluten free pastry. The atmosphere is cozy and the coffee is pretty good. I enjoy the customer service at this spot too lots of nice baristas who enjoy coffee and people. Thank you baristas! A few suggestions to manager/owners.. 1. The theme of the shop is a little confusing with the pictures of jazz musicians and such because it conflicts with the actual music coming through speakers (pop usually). 2. The oat milk always has a strange taste to it that I don't get from other shops. Not sure where that is coming from exactly but I know it's the oat milk specifically. 3. Last but not least - the hot chocolate was not drinkable for us. A drink that is highly highly popular should always be precise and tasty. Just between my family and I we will grab hot chocolate a few times a week. However, we know not to get it from here because of our experience last time (bad taste). So I would recommend amping up that drink. read more

This is my favorite local coffee shop! I've never had a bad experience here! All the baristas are super friendly and nice. I love the updated payment system so I can leave a tip with a credit card because these guys deserve all the tips! It's also my favorite chai latte spot. And the breakfast croissant sandwiches are delicious. I also appreciate that their point system is digital as I'm notorious for losing those little stamp cards. It's so nice that just using the same card to pay each time will accumulate your frequent flier points. Anyways all that to say, I love y'all Austin Grind. Really want to like this place as we live over the street but the barista's are awful and the coffee is burnt and bitter. We moved here a few months back and have tried several times now. Friendly and food looks ok but coffee is shite. read more

Rating is mainly for the coffee. Had a large iced pumpkin spice latte and I think it was my favorite I have ever had. Chicken panini was good but not over the top and kind of small. Latte was great though. Atmosphere was also good. Usually I feel crammed working in coffee shops but this felt quiet enough without being silent that it was comfortable to work in. read more

Most of these reviews posted for Austin Grind are for the food, not the actual coffee which is not good. It tastes burnt and nasty. We gave it a second chance today just in case we'd previously caught them on a bad day, but again the coffee was unpalatable and the chai tea tasted artificial and weak. Might be a good spot if you're hungry, but if you appreciate good coffee, this is not the place for you. read more

I really appreciate the friendliness and accuracy of the staff. They get my order right every time. Every thing I have had of the menu was delicious. Try a iced matcha, mocha, or iced tea lemonade. They have great non-dairy milk available. The bagels are hot add delicious, as are the croissant sandwiches. I can't help but go here at least once a week. read more

The setting is small and cozy, which is nice, but if you have to sit outside you have to deal with the noise coming from the inflatable noodle man machine.... it's awful to have to yell to your friends over that noise.
