This is everything vegan food should be - creative and satisfying. Bold flavors, a thoughtfully curated menu, and ingredients that are allowed to shine. The bowl was packed with flavor and made with some of the best, freshest ingredients. And the mac & cheese? Creamy, delicious, and completely vegan. It lacked absolutely nothing except, you know, the animal products.

Home away from home. This place is very vibrant, clean, and tentative. The food is vegan and comforting. Always a reset from the work week madness. The drink compliment the extensive vegan and nutritional meals. The service is welcoming and friendly. They really know you by name and are well knowledgeable of the menu and what to recommend according to your pallet. If you're ever looking for warming, tasty food & sense awaking drinks. Don't pass on this place. Also they have a point system and bday rewards

After a long train ride into BK, this was the 1st stop and great start to the weekend this past Spring. Nestled in Little Haiti and surrounded by so much variety of Caribbean cuisine is this amazingly delicious and mouthwatering restaurant! Cute and quaint, it offers immediate service and is equipped with charming servers and a meticulous bartender. My Ke-lo-Ke hit the spot and was paired brilliantly with the Mushroom Skewer bowl. Everyone can't cook lentils right, but Aunts et Uncles got it 100% right! No crumb was left behind that night. Thank you to everyone who made our experience so memorable!

I've heard a lot about this place, always good, but unfortunately, I am always skeptical about plant-based food. I was finally convinced to go, and I can say I am mad I didn't go sooner. Soca Sangria - it says it's made for sharing because the glass is a little big but trust me, you should have this one by yourself. It's perfectly sweet and refreshing. The perfect drink for a warmer day. So Simple Chicken Sando - just a really solid and tasty sandwich. My friend noted that the mushroom used to be crispier and I cant lie that would've been nice texturally, but the flavor was A+ so I don't have much to complain about. Roasted Potatoes - solid roasted potatoes and make the perfect side. I asked for some pepper sauce. My mouth was tingling the entire meal. Karib Meatballs - are we sure this isn't real meat? So delicious and I have to say, the portion size is kind of small. We were tempted to order another plate of it but ended up opting for a sweet treat. The slaw accompanying it yummy too!

Tasty and creative vegan food! I enjoyed the chicken sandwich, roasted potatoes, and I am still dreaming about the pudding cake! Absolutely outstanding! The servers were beautiful inside and out! Food was made and served with love! Highly recommend this spot for food, ambiance, and service!

There is something about this neighborhood that I love. The energy, the people, the mix of working class, upper class, families, students, elders, every nationality under the sun. This is the real New York. It is lively, grounded, and full of hardworking individuals who give the area its personality. What I appreciate most is that Flatbush actually has places to go. Some neighborhoods in this city have almost no social outlets, which makes the social scene feel like tumbleweeds rolling by. Here, there are establishments everywhere, and they give the community its rhythm and identity. I hope the rent stays manageable so all of these businesses can keep thriving, because they are essential to the neighborhood's growth and strength. Now, on to Aunts et Uncles. I had seen this spot all over social media and kept telling myself I needed to check it out. I ended up visiting twice during the summer, choosing times when the crowd would be light, and I was very glad I did. I did not make any reservations. The space is airy, artsy, and clean. It has that organic and modern feel without trying too hard. It is spacious, welcoming, and just a cool place to be. The clientele is friendly, down to earth, and cosmopolitan. The staff is awesome, very warm, and very genuine. On my second visit, I went for the mushroom burger because my first experience convinced me I had to return. The burger was delicious. The only thing that did not fully move me was the cheese, but that is on me. I am not vegan or vegetarian, although I eat vegan food from time to time. My taste buds are still trained on regular cheese. If you are vegan, you will probably rave about it. I am not holding that against the dish because everything else was excellent. My friend loved her food as well. We shared our plates and both walked away happy. At one point the staff came around with something freshly made that was not even on the menu yet. They offered a sample for two dollars. I said yes immediately, because who turns down a surprise treat in Brooklyn? And it was great. The overall design, the quality of the food, the selection, the atmosphere, and the staff all earn this place a solid five. The drinks behind the bar looked top tier, even though I did not order any that day. It is the kind of spot where you can go solo, bring a friend, bring a date, bring the family, or just chat with the staff or another patron. It has that comfortable, welcoming vibe that is rare. I highly recommend Aunts et Uncles. I am already looking forward to going back and exploring more of the menu. Honestly, I kind of wish I lived in that neighborhood. Peace.

Walking into Aunts et Uncles feels like you're stepping into a little Caribbean oasis away from the hectic streets of Brooklyn right outside the front door. Food was amazing, lightweight but filling. I love what they have done with vegan food and including Caribbean flavors! As a fellow Lucian, the story of auntys peppa sauce was heartwarming, seeing Chairman's by the bar and also the family photos reminded me of my own family and gatherings. Service was great, the lattes and coffee were made to perfection and the waitress made sure they were to our liking. The decor is intentional and has the love of the diaspora throughout. I will definitely be back. Thank you for putting on for the culture!

Made reservations via resy as we wanted to be sure to get a table. Walked in and there were enough empty tables to choose from. We chose to sit on the couch. So comfortable. The vibe is so chill so laidback. Loved it. Service was great. Easy to understand the menu. I'm not vegan so I'm still finding my way but the food was very tasty. Ordered the Shirley temple. Delicious. Ordered Mac and cheese, chicken sandwich, loaded potatoes, smash burger. Everything and I mean everything was perfect. Highly recommend coming here. Bathroom on site neat and clean. Near all transportation.

Stopped here before a show at Kings Theater. The lobster roll was AMAZING! the service was great! We sat outside and enjoyed the amazing weather. Will be back next time we are in the area.

Just around the corner from my home is Aunts et Uncles a Caribbean vegan restaurant and bar. It has now become a part of the community because the owners have been living in little Caribbean all their lives. You can't miss it, it has an outside and inside deck, it is surrounded by a bunch of plants, bookshelves, a selection of black Afro centric books that highlight our culture, you can also support the restaurant by purchasing their products you will see displayed there. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner, you can enjoy an espresso/late, or one of their Caribbean fruit juices, my favourites are cucumber ginger, sorrel and mauby, they also have a selection of liquor and beer. My take out is the bake and Saltfish, French toast or lobster roll, for me the service is always great and the food has been delicious.

Tight Quarters & Missed Expectations For a Friday evening date, my husband suggested we check out a Caribbean-inspired, vegan restaurant. I was curious--especially because I do appreciate veggie-forward meals--but the experience ended up being a bit of a mixed bag. Food: 3/5 We asked the server for recommendations and landed on a jerk chicken sandwich, plant-based lasagna, mac & cheese, and the standout of the night: the Crying Ryan--a peanut cauliflower dish that actually packed some flavor and texture. Unfortunately, the rest didn't quite hit. The lasagna leaned heavily on fake meat (which I personally don't love). I was hoping for something lentil-based or hearty and veggie-driven. The jerk sandwich was better--my husband enjoyed it--but the mac & cheese was a letdown: mushy noodles, overcooked, and a sauce that didn't hold up. The half ginger / half sorrel drink was so aggressively gingery I couldn't finish it--though my husband liked his Sangria well enough. All in all, for a $130 tab after tip, I expected more depth and balance in the food. Service & Vibe: 2/5 The vibe? Honestly kind of chaotic. - The space is super tight, and many of the tables are block-style or communal, so if you value elbow room--this isn't it. - The staff seemed really overwhelmed, dropping things, running around, and missing small service details. - And to top it off, people were still on laptops past 8 PM. The café-restaurant hybrid feel made it feel less like a Friday night date and more like we stumbled into a coworking session. All in all would I go back? Probably not. While I appreciate plant-forward menus and love Caribbean flavors, the execution felt scattered, the space was too cramped for comfort, and for the price, I'd rather head somewhere with better energy and consistency.

Loaded potatoes

Im a non vegan but I do like to try different vegan restaurants. Decided to pay this place a visit for dinner. Its a very small restaurant with limited seating. It reminds me of a place I would go to for lunch vs dinner. It does have a small bar with cocktails and wine. The servers were very friendly and helpful with suggesting what to have off of the menu. We ordered the loaded potatoes to share. Then we got the So Simple Chicken sandwich and the Lobster Roll. All were very good. The lobster roll tasted just like a lobster roll. I wish there was a little less mayo on there though. The pretzel bun hit the spot and now I would love for all of my lobster rolls to come on a pretzel bun. My friend enjoyed the chicken sandwich. We only wished the gouda was a little melted but the hot maple sauce was clutch! Loaded potatoes were excellent. Definitely a shareable. We didn't even put a dent in it and we took the rest home. Very good experience. The food was flavorful and innovative which is important for vegan cuisine.

I was here for a kickback. The ambiance was a vibe and the drinks were reasonable and good. The food menu was limited and ended up eating elsewhere for that reason.

Do they have anything that is safe for people with nut allergies ? There are nuts in a few of the dishes, and they only list GF and SF indicators on the menu. We would love to visit, but I have an allergy. Has anyone with nut allergies gone?

Yes, most of the items are nut-free, just ask the staff when you get there or before you order to double check the ingredients. To my knowledge, the All Green Everything and Cryin Ryan (and possibly the Wild Flower salad?) are the only dishes with…

Are they open on Thursdays? I can't make a reservation for any Thursday and I can't get in touch with the restaurant (they are not picking up the phone number listed).

You don't need a reservation to dine in and they are open on Thursdays. I have called various times of the day and they always pick up the phone. I just tried making a Thursday reservation and the site works fine/has slots available.

Are there any house made fake meats (not impossible or beyond)?

I've had the entire menu minus the roast cauliflower and I'm gonna say no, there aren't any house-made meats. Maybe the so simple sandwich, but when I had it, it didn't taste/look house made.

Do they have gluten free options?

The all green everything (a warm salad) is gluten free. I believe the cryin ryan (cauliflower) is also gluten free.…

Do you have show proof of vaccination to sit inside?

Yes

We went on a Friday night with a party of 3 and did a walk in. That was a risky move and to our luck, the hostess was so sweet and squeezed us in as the last party of the night! Donkey Conga ($22) Bourbon and aged cachaça centrifuged with Banana. Followed by Cynar & sweet vermouth. 2. Manta Ray ($22) Coconut cocktail of apricot, ginger, and mint. London dry gin & Haitian Rhum. 3. Star cycle ($18) Shakened milk washed gin, Jasmine, and grapefruit

We made a reservation for early in the evening, and it was very quiet when we arrived. The space itself is lovely with comfortable velvet chairs, a nice bar, a stunning array of vinyls on display and a beautiful outdoor patio area. We opted to sit indoors, and service was excellent. Between the two of us, we ordered the sake flight, the never will I marry, the smoke stack and stolen moments (a NA beverage). Had 3 bartenders for a pretty small bar and none noticed my cup of water was empty for 20 min; not to mention one of them really didn't want to be there or is a super introvert and just there to make the drink and bye; would have hoped they tried a bit more to have a conversation or explain the philosophy/idea behind the bar/drinks etc (i mean i am paying 20% tip and it's a service industry) 2) The Awakening (tiramisu) was not that great; was on the sour side - maybe because of the chosen espresso beans which may be arabica, but wasn't pleasant; gave an impression of soured milk and coffee. Also the frozen ice cream just doesnt fit; more like a frozen affogato or sour klondike bar than a tiramisu Net net, still a great new place and perfect for dates, but not as strong on the service and desserts
