Hello. My daughter has a contract with AUL that is expiring very soon. She took her car for service and was told she needed a turbo replacement. The garage contacted AUL and they will only cover a portion of the repairs. Is the job covered or not? I feel these companies are not willing to work with their customers 100%. We paid for a warranty and if the job is covered, it should be COVERED minus the deductible of course! At the moment I'm not feeling like I want to recommend the company for helping their customers. Something to think about before you purchase a warranty. read more

Never really spoke to anyone, called about my vehicle and the rest was handled by my mechanic and the company. Didn't have to pay anything at all on my part they gave me a brand new engine block read more

Just wow, have the truck for less than three months. Paid $2995.00 in warranty. Covers nothing.

In all fairness, I am updating my review. Since I sold the car and still had time left on my warranty, I was told I would be refunded about $1000. Half of that is supposed to come from them with the other half from the dealer. After the dealer I got the car from did not refund their part of the money, Tish Garcia of AUL stepped up and refunded me the portion the dealer was supposed to pay to make sure I got every penny back that was owed to me. I appreciated that as it helped pay for the expenses I previously incurred. They didn't have to do that, especially after my complaints. Thank you for your help Tish. read more

With over 30 years experience in the automotive industry I have dealt with numerous service contract companies. AUL has always been fair and easy to work with. My most recent claim was handled by Phillip, he was quick to answer my call and was courteous and professional through the process. Without hesitation I would recommend their services. read more

I purchased a 2008 Dodge Charger in Feb 2017, part of the stipulation of the loan was that I had to have AUL bumper to bumper coverage. I was fine with this as I honestly never in a million years thought it would be used. 3 months....3 MONTHS!!! After signing this contract my engine started making a funny sound in . I immediatly turned it off and had it towed to my house as it was a Friday evening and AUL did not open until Monday. Finally after speaking to AUL I was told to go ahead get it towed to DODGE DEALER and they would handle the rest...cool! So car was towed to the dealership....after a day of waiting I recieved a call from the dealership that AUL wanted to "tear down" the engine to see why it had started knocking...okay ...I mean the car is 3 months old...NO WARNING LIGHTS HAVE COME ON.... I have no clue as to what the hell has happend to my car....I am NOT due for an oil change for another 70 miles ( I have proof of oil change wich they NEVER asked for)..And after all the positive things I had heard about AUL I felt totally confident that this was part of the way they approve the claim so I really was not worried. After the dealership tore the engine down AUL wanted to send an inspector out....again the dealership as well as myself really had no cause for alarm and we all were very confident a repair was almost ready to be approved. The inspector came out to the dealership and took multiple pictures of the car and sent them to AUL. We received a call from the dealership the next day and the claim was DENIED..... The car sold for $9,000+ and the repairs to fix are $7,000+... When I asked WHY was the claimed denied????? I was told the engine didn't have enough lubrication and it was 3 quarts low on oil ....I call BULLSH**T.... I asked well what caused this "low lubrication" and the response was "we don't know but we are not paying".....This is absurd!!!! I AM ADDING THIS BACK UP TO YELP SINCE THE FIRST ONE WAS DELETED BY AUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Don't bother. Typical warranty company who will find a way not to pay. Head gasket started failing causing damage to head. Under the assumption that the entire engine was covered but apparently this is not considered an internal part. Stay away! Canceling. read more

I have 36 months warranty with aulcorp i paid almost $3400 with an $100 deductible. When my car broke the power steering rack, and start claim on aulcorp they said they want to install used parts for my car aftermarket parts for my car. My mechanic of the repair didnt agree on that. The original quote of damage was $2400 but aulcorp only pays around $1250 only. End up i still pays around $1150 on my own pocket. Instead that i only need to pay $100 deductible. Dont get fool with this company is not reasonable. Now i learn on my mistake, i wont buy this aurcorp warranty anymore. read more

I purchased a 2008 BMW on 12/23/21 from JT's dodgeland. I purchased the vehicle cash up front, and also purchased a service contract to cover any unexpected repairs from AUL, with the Estate coverage. The financial advisor at JT's assured me that by purchasing the extended warranty offered by AUL Corp would protect my purchase, even if the engine fell out, and the brochure stated there was day one coverage. The car broke down on the 28th of December. I called the dealership for help, but was told they didn't work on BMWs and there was nothing they could do. I towed it to BMW of Columbia to have it looked at , but they could not determine the problem without going further into the engine. AUL denied the claim to cover the cost because they stated the car did not meet manufacturers specificactions at time of purchase. I paid BMW dealership out of pocket for the diagnostic, then towed it to Dodgeland. I have not had the car since the 28th of December. Long story short, the service contract provider will not cover anything because they claim the engine was faulty before I purchased it so they will not help. They referred me to section 8B of the contract. I don't know what to do at this point because I purchased the contract under the assumption the car was working properly, otherwise why would AUL sell me coverage, which I also paid for in full. They didn't inspect this car before entering into a contract with me , so it's impossible for them to know what was going on with it , or if it met manufacturers specifications when I purchased it. It took me a long time to save the money for this car, and I am very sad to see people can take advantage of others without any remorse, or empathy. I'm really disappointed in the way I was treated, and continue to be treated as I still do not have an operable vehicle. I realize now AUL will not honor what they promised me before purchasing their service. read more

Tricky people. We bought a 2013 Buick from a dealership and paid for the "Reserve" package (their highest tier), which is exclusionary, as long as it's not one of the things in a brief summary of items, it would be covered. The very first time I took my car in for service was because of a heated seat that wasn't working. I'm thinking, great, this is why I bought this 2000+ warranty, for issues like this! Mechanic calls me, says the seat needs to be programmed back to the computer. I call AUL, they say they will call the dealer, dealer calls me back and said they denied coverage because they don't cover software updates. I call AUL, and typical weaseling, "Section 8 of the contract includes no software updates". Seriously? The line in the contract is the following: "Phones, Wireless Transmitting Devices, Television/VCR, DVD Players and LCD screens, Satellite Radio, Electronic device software." Ok, my heated seat doesn't work, and it needs programming back into the vehicles computer, which they weasel their way out of by using the "Electronic device software" isn't covered. Waste. Refund time. read more

incredibly horrible service left me in tears more than once this has been the most difficult company ever so obvious they don't give a rats ass about ANYTHING except stealing my damn money at any cost. my aunt PAID FOR A WARRENTY THEY WONT EVEN EMBURSE. They keep claiming my dealership never sent them the information and ive gone back and forth and back and forth and the ONLY one who has a damn problem is THEM. They were supposed to "do some digging" and get back to my car broker and I haven't heard a single word!! Meanwhile my car is being held by my mechanic because they wont approve the payment I was assured would be taken care of...so while they stole my money, they also caused me to loose my car while I wait for them to get off their ass and "investigate". At this point Im lost....I don't know what to do....please stay far far away from these people..... they are no help to anyone but themselves....I just want the service I paid close to 2000 dollars for....is that so damn hard to ask for? read more

Terrible Warranty Company! We are a dealer repair shop that receives vehicles warranted by AUL and they are not standing by their warranty. They do not call back the shop or customer after placing a claim, even left a customer to wait for days without a response on claim without their vehicle being authorized to repair and put back out to use and will likely deny coverage for items that are clearly stated in their contract as being covered. This has occurred even on one of their more expensive warranties that has supposed day one coverage. We would not recommend ever doing business with this company, there are better options out there. read more

I need a fuse box because my cars heating fan does not come on when it should and shuts off on its own. The manager of the car dealership I am getting car fixed at called them twice and they refuse to help me pay for something that is covered. I paid $2300+ for an extended warranty and when my power steering failed. While they paid to have that fixed, they refused to pay for the wheel alignment that was required as part of the rack and pinion replacement. This resulted in the steering wheel tilted noticeably to one side while driving. Their justification was that the car is driving straight and that's all they care about. Will not recommend these douche bags! read more

I recently purchased a 2014 Chevy Volt from a local dealer. With all of the hybrid stuff and electronics in this thing I wanted to get some coverage as the factory warranty had expired. They offered me a policy from AUL assuring me this would cover everything I needed it to. Low and behold 4 months later the center screen goes blank. With fingers crossed I took it in to our local dealer. We had moved so this wasn't the same dealer I bought the car from. I brought in a copy of my policy and showed it to the guy there. He looked it over and said this should be covered and he'd give me a call. Less than an hour later he called to tell me it was fully covered, they will have the parts tomorrow and if I needed a rental that was covered too!!! The next day I went down after work and picked the car up with zero issues or hassle. I was very relieved and this repair almost cost as much as the contract cost me. I was reading through the coverage and they have a specific section for hybrid vehicles and they even cover the battery and home charging station!! I had to go back for some maintenance on the car a few weeks later. Same guy checked me in. I told them how happy I was about the service I got. He told me he too was so impressed with AUL he has gone to his sales department and they've reached out to become a dealer for AUL as well!! Needless to say I'm very happy so far and would buy it again if I had to. read more

AUL replaced a "rebuilt" transmission into our Yukon. The transmission failed after 20000 miles, this company purchases its parts from a company that is not reputable and has a history of sending parts out as refurbished that were not infact refurbished. More like pulled from a wreck, repainted and sold as refurbished. When I called AUL they stated the warranty was only for 12 months, 12000 miles or the end of my service contract which has now ended. This company is a complete fraud. The transmission is now on its way to find out if it was really rebuilt. I'll let ya'll know if it wasn't. read more

The warranty is a sham purchased a 2005 Lexus RX 330 with what i thought was a 'Bumper to Bumper' warranty. There is an issue with the right passenger side mirror. The electrochromic gel between two pieces of glass (anti-glare mirror) has leaked into the mirror. One side treated with a electrically conductive coating, the other with a reflector. The leak in the seal has caused the mirror to become a dullish grey/black preventing the ability to see anything. The car was brought in for repair the mechanic stated it can't be repaired but needs to be replaced. When this was presented to the AUL i was told they dont replace glass period! The issue is of no fault of my own but they wont replace it. So why did i pay $$$ for a crummy warranty??? Buyer Beware!!! read more

I purchased this extended warranty about 2 months ago for my Cadillac Escalade. Earlier today the driver's side rear door handle came off in my hand. I brought the vehicle to my local Cadillac dealership to have it fixed feeling fortunate that I had the warranty to cover it. My service rep called AUL to submit the claim at 10am. At 4pm an AUL rep returned the call and stated that the door handle wasn't covered under the warranty as they consider it "trim". Really? Trim? Clearly a door handle is a required piece of equipment that the vehicle needs that shouldn't fail under "normal wear and tear". After paying the $264 out of pocket to have it replaced I called AUL to cancel my warranty program. Of course they couldn't do that either. I was told I needed to have the company I purchased the plan through cancel it for me. They may be trying to make it tough for me but I refuse to let a garbage company like this have any of my money. I'll jump through the necessary hoops to get my refund and take my business elsewhere. read more

AUL handled my claim and paid for an engine replacement. My 2011 Jeep Cherokee blew its engine in June. I took the car to a local auto repair place and they listened to the engine with a stethascope. Internal mechanical failure was the diagnosis. The repair estimate for a rebuilt engine was $8300. Fortunately I had an extended warranty. AUL made me prove that I had changed the oil regularly and was glad I had kept the receipts. They also made the repair garage drop the oil pan to inspect for sludge or other signs of lack of maintenance. But it was clean. They paid for a used engine replacement and the 20 hours of labor to take the old engine out and install the new one. The engine had 80,000 miles on it and came with a one year or 12,000 mile warranty. Final cost was $6000. This was a better experience than I had previously with AUL when the heater core on the Jeep started blowing cold air on the driver side. The core was plugged and they said that was not covered. The bill was $1700. The warranty cost me $2400. In the long run, I came out ahead. But I traded in the Jeep for a Honda Ridgeline. I didn't trust the replacement Chrysler engine or any other part of the Jeep to last very much longer. read more

Just purchased a 2008 GMC Sierra 2500hd with an extended warranty due to the fact that it did not increase my monthly payments drastically. Being that this is not the first diesel I have owned I know that if something breaks its usually not cheap to repair, so for the added peace of mind I purchased the warranty. I was sold that this was a bumper to bumper warranty for 36 months or 36k miles and read the contract myself and it all appeared to be legitimate but that's where I was wrong. The issue on my truck is the fuel sending unit is reading inaccurate fuel levels and will be around 750 to replace. Of course they say this item is not covered under my warranty on the estate coverage that to me appears to cover everything that came on it from the factory as long as nothing has been altered. At the price tag of 3600 I'm better off canceling this useless warranty and getting my refund which is what I plan on doing since it appears you have to jump through hoops and hope the claim is paid. If you don't want to pay to repair cars then stop selling warranties on cars. I also strongly believe that the people pushing these warranties are just as guilty. I assume they've heard the complaints but I'm sure whatever kickbacks they get are worth it. I end my rant in saying do not buy this warranty. Its absolutely useless.Keep your money and if something breaks then use the money you were going to purchase the warranty with to repair the car. read more

AUL denied my claim. I purchased the Estate contract which is pretty much the highest you can get on a used car. It supposedly covers a lot of stuff. The contract was for 40, 000 miles or 4 years, which ever comes first. So within the last couple months of my contract ending something actually goes wrong with my car. I paid $4500 dollars for this thing and haven't had a chance to use it. Finally, when something goes wrong they deny my only claim. My CV boot blows on my drive shaft and exposes the joint, grease flinging everywhere. Send it to the dealer, call these rip-off artists (AUL) and even though the shaft is covered the CV is not. Even though you cannot order this part separately because the shaft and the joint are one piece, they denied my claim because the failure was caused by the CV joint. That is what I get for not reading the fine print. What else could fail on the shaft other than the joints. I guess if you drive your car off a freaking cliff and crack the shaft, maybe then they will help you, but then again probably not. I will definitely be spreading the word to my peers who work in the car industry that this company is the worst! read more

My dealership sold me this warranty plan convincing that it would cover my truck with any issues it had !!!! I made a single payment of $3,400 24 month term 24000 miles, unfortunately my truck had issues within the first month with a bad water pump and injection problems the bill came back around 1100 bucks and they only would cover my water pump which cost 200! When I called they gave me the run-around saying it states what it covers in your contract. Long story short about a month later I cancelled, they covered the 200 plus labor which was only about $100, I only put around 4,000 miles before I ended my warranty, they sent a check back to my credit union for 700 bucks, this is all within the first four months aul was a complete rip-off I was convinced they would cover more and when I cancelled they completely screwed me with the amount of 700 when I paid 3400 in full within a four month period. $3,400 is a large amount and can get you a long ways with repairs which unfortunately aul Corporation completely screwed me over!! read more

Horrible car warranty! Service was horrible. Supervisor Charlie should be referred to customer service orientation. This company clearly does whatever they can to keep from paying for anything. I bought a warranty for 2495 to ensure my daughters car would be covered incase anything unexpected happened to it. I'm truly disturbed by the way AUL has handled this. They have refused our claim without even sending a technician out to review the car. At this point we don't even know what the cause truly is, so please AUL tell me how you can make a decision with no true information? I have the contact and it clearly indicates I have Powertrain coverage, however without hesitation or review of my contract supervisor Charlie cuts me off to tell me that my contact does not cover the engine. Again my contract in hand does clearly indicate engine coverage. The Kia service department totally disagrees with Charlie and AUL and is currently trying to help clarify to AUL that it is covered and to please approve. Wants wrong with this company fiercely trying to find any loophole they can to deny. The car dealership will no longer use this company due to their horrible customer service and refusal to provide the service they were paid to provide. Shame on this company. Please be careful this company is not in it to do the right thing. Don't waste your money on this car warranty it's not worth it. They'll take your money and not cover anything even if it says they will in contract. They do whatever to get out of paying for repairs on your car. read more

You will verify your contact until you are blue in the face with zero results. We bought a 2011 Chevy Impala and the warranty is with AULcorp. 5 months later the engine and transmission completely fail. I had to have my car insurance company tow the vehicle because AUL would not accept the warranty despite giving them all the correct info. They asked for verification and we send it. Next day asked for more verification and we send it. 1 week later they agree to tow the car to another place where it will get repairs. The repair place says the engine and transmission are a complete loss. Guess who all of a sudden needs more verification of the warranty that we've been making payments on. Their name is all over our warranty paperwork. Now they need verification from the dealership that we bought the car from. Basically, we went back up to the dealership so they can make copies of the paperwork we've already given AUL. Our contact also says we were supposed to get a rental car. So much for that! We've been 3 weeks without our car and without a rental car. This sounds like it will be going the lawsuit route very quickly. Avoid this company. It's nothing but a headache and you are paying for a contract that you will never be able to verify with them no matter how much of the original paperwork you have. read more

I bought a 05 Ford F350 6.0 dsl with an extended warranty through AUL . I took my vehical in due to a coolant leak and diesel fuel in the coolant.
