Worst ever! Had a whole new system installed with new top of the line component speakers, stereo, and amp. Took them about two days to have installed, very affordable but never again will I come back. They put the circuit breaker where I accelerate which is so unsafe, plus they have my LR FR all screwed up too. Along with they fried my damn amplifier too with such poor wiring and connections to where it was sending power to and then back to speaker too which isn't at all to be that way only Power to speaker not back to amp. Had to go to another stereo store that are actually pros and didn't return back with warranty supposedly given because of how pissed I was with them and would have gone off at them ruining my whole new setup being fried and absurdly connected. So I had my car stereo installed at ams a couple of years ago. I drive a convertible that is raced on the weekend, but wanted some tunes to for the daily commute, so i wanted something light and simple. Audiowerk recommended a set of tweeters on the a pillar, along with a new deck and new door speakers. The combo was exactly what i was looking for, and their prices were reasonable and installed right away. So why the 2 star you ask? well, the tweeters that was brought and installed are a set of KD design tweeters. My problem lies in the installation of these tweeters. I'm not sure whether the stereo shop did it or whether it came that way, but the two wires out of the tweeter were epoxyed to the speaker, which is fine, but it interferes with the way the speaker mounts to the speaker mount. the speakers didn't sit flush when i first got the car back, but didn't think much of it because it is a racecar for me and i didn't worried about the details much. well, it took about six months until both tweeters started falling off, i went back to ams, they covered the labor, but i had to pay $20 for another set of speaker mounts (I don't remember the excuse, but something about the 1 year warranty doesn't cover mounting hardware?) . Well, the reason for the review now almost two years since my purchase is because the mount broke again, and it is driving me nuts! Also, they left the xover for the speakers hanging under the dash, well, the weight of the xover cause the wires to break, i now have a barely working system... read more

The price is better than most installer. Will definitely recommends this place to my family and friends. Guys and gals, Audiowerk will do you no wrong, I'm soooo tempted to have Sean and his crew rip out my OEM stereo system on my 2014 Subaru Outback and install a better system in the car. The OEM is great, BUT could be better! There's always room for improvement! Sean, I will definitely come back early spring next year to redo do my stereo system. Before the installation, I tested the various speed and road. After the installation, I took it to the same speed and road, no change in speed or road conditions. Before the installation I tested the speed at 35 to 80 mph my decibel meter readings were between 88 to 110 decibels. After the installation of the dynamat installation, 35 to 80 mph my decibel meter readings were between 60 to 80 decibels. read more

I went to this place to get new speakers put in my 1996 Toyota corolla (no, I don't own a BMW, but my car is in GREAT condition :P) with really high expectations because of the majority of good reviews...and I was not let down. I called beforehand to make sure they had time, and the guy I spoke with was helpful. He told me they had an opening around 4pm the following day and then we discussed pricing. When I showed up, the man that greeted me remembered right away that we had spoken the day before and got right to it. The guys were fairly friendly for the most part. I already had my equipment prior to showing up, so installation took no more than 45 minutes to put in all 4 speakers. Not too pricey, and so far so good! My speakers sound and look amazing. Definitely coming back whenever I need anything installed or fixed. Only downsides (keeping them from 5 stars for me) are that the place was pretty unprofessional look wise and there is pretty much no parking. Their work space is in the back, and you are not allowed to be present while they work on your car. Kinda made me a little uncomfortable, but that's about it. Check 'em out :) read more

I came here after visiting 2 other small shops as well as Bestbuy and FRYs. Learn from my mistake, go here 1st!!! Lets go in order. 1st shop 1st question " how much you lookin' to spend?" 2nd shop "Nothing in stock but I can get you anything!" Bestbuy after standing in the department looking at the 4 decks I had to chose from for 20 mins. I asked someone in the TV department if anyone even worked in the car audio department. 10 mins later a woman in her 60's from the major appliances department comes over and asks how she can help me? Careful not to judge a book by it's cover I asked her for the double din deck and powered sub I was looking for. after staring blank faced at me for a good uncomfortable minute she scurried off to find "someone to help" Frys... do I really need to discuss frys? Think bestbuy but without the woman from appliances. oh, and with out the 4 working display units. If you want a good idea of either how the box of a product looks, how the unit might look in your car with out power or maybe how the 1/2 installed unit might look hanging out of your dash, by all means I recommend frys! Frys is kinda like high school with ties. all of the employees travel in packs and can usually be found in 1 of 4 places. 1 computer section but dont ask them for help. 2, tv section, but good lord dont ask them for help! and finally....smoke break in front of the store. Which finally brings me to Audiowerks. Audiowerk.......Doesn't get better...or easier. Good lord, the time I wasted not going here 1st. I called ahead of time and when I got there he had already checked that he had the install kit in stock for my car and had an idea based on out brief phone call of what would meet my needs. No upsell, sold me exactly what I needed and came in for, and the price....wow the price! got way more than I expected, installed and matched the online prices. As far as the install I gave him my keys and walked to get lunch. when I returned in about an hour they had already completed the install! a little over an hour to install a deck, amp, subwoofer and new front speakers!!!???? that's how long I wasted at Frys and Bestbuy! I went in asked about the different selection and the sales rep was not pushy at all he answered my questions clearly and concisely, then the most important thing was let me think about what I wanted. So I took my van here to get the stereo and camera put in and it worked for about a year took it back about a year later he said the harness was bad which he replaced the first time then he charged me. The next day it went out again. I took it back and he fixed it but he broke my phone holder in the cup holder and denied it. What a sucker couldn't even man up and say he broke it told me he'd glue. That's the sorriest customer service ever. I won't ever go back or tell anyone to take their car there. It's the principle. The phone holder was $18. read more

If you have a BMW or equivalent car that requires a fair amount of work. Avoid this people like the PLAGUE. If you have a Honda, or something simple like that - they should do fine. I brought my BMW in to have a stereo and speakers installed. They broke nearly every piece they took off. As a result, I have to have an entire door panel replaced, door trim replaced - if you're a bmw owner, you can guess how much this cost me. I read the 7 or so reviews here on Yelp before visiting calling/setting an appointment with/getting the work I needed done by Audiowerk. I needed a basic solution for getting my iPhone 3g and various iPod miscellany hooked-up to my car. I setup an appointment for the next day, after talking briefly to a gentlemen about what I needed and how much that work was going to be. I went in the next day, and had zero wait time to get the work started on my car. The work was going to take 1.5 hours or so, so they gave me a heads-up about Juicy Burger and a Taco place being a block or two up the road (btw, Juicy Burger only accepts cash, but the Taco place was solid). I went to eat, and received a call from Audiowerk about my stock stereo lacking the ability to engage the connected device via the CD/AM-FM button (hint: my stereo was a sucky stock stereo with no frills, I wasn't shocked at all.. pretty much thought that would be the case going in). The gentlemen informed me that a new deck was in order, and that they'd hook it all up proper with a decent deck for the same price as I was originally quoted. "Great, do it!", I said. I came back from chowing down, and everything was good to go and they even through in an iPod cable (the type that allows the deck to charge the iPod -- doesn't work with the iPhone 3g but I already knew that going in and had a usable charger for just the iPhone 3g itself anyhow ). They kept to their original assessment of cost in both time and money, despite the new deck. They also gave me a brief tutorial on how the new deck works. All-in-all, I felt these guys were sharp, honest and genuinely wanted my business. I never got the run-around, pretty much just straight-up answers on price of materials and labor. I'd recommend them to anyone, and I'll certainly be giving them more business when I get a new vehicle or the urge to do some minor upgrades on my current vehicle. read more

Audiowerk can only be described with one word .... amazing. The owner sean and his brother are always there and hook every single customer up. He diagnosed what was wrong with my old mercedes deck for free and when I was an idiot and broke my subwoofer by placing something on top of the cone he allowed me to upgrade my system. Then when I complained of not enough power he gave me an L5 for free! There is a lot more to this story but just know I own multiple cars and have taken all of them to audiowerk. I took my 08 Jeep Liberty to get power locks and keyless entry/alarm installed. I called about 6 or 7 places locally and they had the best price. Although they agreed to complete the installation in a couple of hours it was late in the day and they couldn't finish it the same day. They offered to upgrade our system for free if we left the car overnight ($100+ value). The car was picked up by noon the next day and the upgraded alarm was great. The remote has a paging system to notify me that the alarm is going off. Useful if you are in a building within 1/2 mile and cannot hear the alarm going off. The alarm is still working great. I would bring my car there again for work in the future. read more

FACTS: 1. Wanted Bluetooth System in car 2. Chose the Parrot 3. INSTALLATION, yes the Bluetooth System (Parrot) worked BUT.....in the process: the picture of me and my husband on the dashboard could not be found (10yr Anniversary Photo), my dashboard mount for my cell phone was knocked over, the installer placed the Parrot Bluetooth Display blocking my signal light blinkers, (it was not placed where Sean had originally suggested), a charger wire was retorn apart (I had electrical tape keeping the charger together), AND I found drug paraphernalia in my car afterwards. THOUGHTS: All concerns addressed with Sean the next day. Sean tried to make do but the TRUST factor wasn't there anymore. My husband and I showed him the drug paraphernalia, the dislocated mount, my charger that had been retorn & inquired about the picture of me & my husband which the installer had no idea where it was at....probably fell in the dash somewhere...... UNINSTALLATION FACT:(Husband took it for me), For whatever reason the dashboard wasn't put back together correctly. My husband noticed quickly and informed Sean. THOUGHTS: Yes the problem with uninstalling was a quick fix. By bringing it to Sean's attention, the idea is for him to see that his workers need to get it together! A customer's car should ALWAYS be put back in the original condition it was left in....installation, uninstallation, etc. Sean apologized....I accepted. Low prices but really shady business. 1. Paid for a brand new head-unit and received the display unit. Typical bait and switch, was not informed at all. 2. Both of my front speakers lost sound and went in for diagnosis. They told me on two separate occasions that BOTH my front speakers were blown. I was skeptical - I mean come on, what are the chances? Tried to get me to buy new components and pay for installation. Went somewhere else and found out that the front speakers lost sound because of a POOR wiring job (done by Audiowerk). When they opened my door panels, they found the crossovers with wires broken and dangling around, tweeters and mids were not mounted securely, etc. Nice try, Audiowerk. If I could leave zero stars I would. I bought everything and just needed help installing it and it came with plug and play so no need for splicing cables or anything. Anyways fast forward calls me after he is done and show me the stereo installed and it's ok. On the way home I hit a bump and my audio goes away. I get home and realize they didn't even screw in my stereo. So I pull it out a bit and noticed they did a bunch of splicing and ruined my OEM Wiring. Now only 4 speaker are connected he disconnected the AMP and subs under my seats and tweeters on the door and the speaker on the dash and back seats. He said if I wanted the rest to work it would be 400+ while he is using horrible quality cable and left that cheap cable excess all over my car and now ruined how my car sounds. He doesn't wanna be responsible for it even though he said all speakers would work when I first dropped off the car. He is horrible and I rather attempt a DIY next time than pay someone to mess up my sound system. Him honestly don't even know how he's in business. read more
