I went in for a stereo and noticed the offered tint so I asked them to do it. I didn't think much of it but my car was very dirty. Left it there, when I came back they said oh hey there might be a few small bubbles in the back window. Claimed the dust was a problem and it was getting under the tint. Well all of the windows have a ton of little bubbles from dust. I realize I gave it to them dirty but I feel like they should have got it clean enough to do a good job, or called me and asked if I wanted to bring it back another time because the dust would be an issue. They just put the tint in anyways and sent me out the door. read more

I do not recommend and warn you against this place. Asked for a tint removal and came to pick up the car to find they put a tint on and want to charge $120 more than was agreed upon. When we asked why this was done they admitted their mistake but told us they can't take it off now because it just got put on and that they'll "give us a great deal" and still charge us more. First they said they'd charge only $15 more but then ran the card for $75 more. Insane. We went back in to talk to them and asked for the manager and were told he can't be reached. So we went back in a third time and the owner was there and immediately started arguing with us, telling us it was our mistake at that point and because his employee was nice it was ok that he was manipulating us. He raised his voice even. I cannot believe the treatment we got as paying customers at this place. NEVER EVER go if you value being treated fairly and with basic dignity. read more

Based on reviews here and the advice of a friend, I schedule my boyfriend's car for a stereo installation. I brought the car in with the stereo I wanted installed and had scheduled to also have the built in steering controls wired as well. Service was quick enough, but when I paid, the bill was much less then I was quoted so I asked about the steering controls. The counter guy stuttered about "you didn't say you wanted those." I had called to speak with them at least three times and made the appointment specifying that I wanted this done. That night my boyfriend and I noticed the dash lighting for his heater wasn't working. We drive the car at night all the time and would have noticed if it was out before. I scheduled another appointment to have the steering wheel controls connected and the dash lighting fixed. My boyfriend took it in and the counter guy (same one I spoke with every time I called and the one who I spoke with when I paid) told him he didn't have an appointment (they didn't write down my name when I called two days before) and then quoted him DOUBLE what he quoted me 3 times before for the steering controls. REALLY? Then gave me a line about how the dash lighting was our fault somehow. That is totally unacceptable. I will not be recommending this place to others. I paid more at the Stereo Store, but got miles better service. read more

I came here a few Months ago to take a look at the shop and inquire about window tinting. Nice place. Always have cool cars parked outside. Upon arrival I was greeted promptly and given my choice of Tinton options and estimated time till completion. I got a reasonable price and a ride home in a Shelby GT while I waited. Very nice of them! Once I came back I thought they did a great job. They explained that my stock windows had these matrix bumps that could potentially cause unwanted bubbling but it is hardly noticeable. I can't really ever see it so no complaints there just happy they told me. Overall the tints look great and were done on the same day. I am happy with my results and plan on returning to have a radio head unit installed very soon. Great place, definitely recommended. read more

I cannot speak for their audio performance. I was there for window tint. I got 15% all the way around and what I thought would be Quality Tint that they had said has a lifetime warranty turned out to be poor quality film installed by poor quality employees. So much so that I had to return to have them redo two windows. I still have imperfections on the front passenger window but because I live in Washington and I am moving to Eastern Washington I will be unable to visit the store again to have them correct the mistake. The only reason I'm giving them two stars and not one is because they were nice enough to redo the two windows that were not done right the first time. And the film they use is something called Aegis and it looks green or brownish. I will not be returning to this store nor would I recommend anyone go there. read more

Hoa and Steve are great people who will bend over backwards to help you get the best sound you can for a good price...i have spent thousands of dollars with them in the last 5 years. Terrible attitude and a complete lack of communication from the old grizzled employee at the desk, every time I went in there. Couldn't be bothered to take down my contact information on anything other than the back of a crumpled up piece of scrap paper. Unsurprisingly, they were not expecting me when I showed up with my vehicle at the agreed upon time, and were busy with something else. Obviously was preoccupied and wasn't listening when I explained the very simple job I wanted done, so of course it had to be done twice. Never bothered to call me when they were done, both times. This is a long overdue review and I hope they'll forgive me especially since this is the only place I go for my car tinting and audio needs. In fact, I'm overdue on MANY reviews but I feel compelled to get this one done due to a couple of surprisingly bad reviews. I used to live in Corvallis when I went to OSU and a couple of years after graduation. I follow Audiofiles for MANY years now. Hoa, the owner, is the only person I trust for my car audio and tinting needs. The staff varies in age from young to "older", but all of them are usually very friendly, professional, and most of all--knowledgeable especially Hoa and Steve when it comes to audio systems and installation. I've had ALL my car stereo system and tint needs serviced by them--from my Civic SI to my Audi A3 and my brand new 2018 Audi S5. Although my Audi cars come with the upgraded Bang & Olufsen system, I like a lil' more bang to it so will add more to it based on recommendations by Hoa. I seriously don't trust anyone other than him when it comes to audio/sound systems. I drive from Vancouver to Corvallis because a couple of my nieces and nephews attend OSU and live there. One of my best friends also live there so it's a great excuse to visit them while I get my car tinted and my additional AWESOME stereo system installed/upgraded. Hoa has an amazing knowledge about high-end stereo/audio sound systems. He's been in the audio industry for at least 17 years now and know all you want/need to know about audio and sound systems as well as home installation of them. We're not talking about your Bose system here--that's baby/junior stuff. If you want a REAL sound system and have the money to afford it, go to Hoa and he'll tell you EVERYTHING you need to know about it as well as how to install it around your house to maximize the sound effects you want. Overall, he's a pretty cool guy although I think his jokes are off sometimes.. LOL. In either case, the tint jobs on my car is ALWAYS done meticulously and well done. I've had to reschedule on him a couple of times, but he is ALWAYS accommodating and patient with my indecisiveness. Sometimes, the wait can be longer than I want, but it's totally worth it. They will dis-assemble my car door panels to expose the side windows to ensure the tint covers each of the windows from top to bottom and not just pushed down. Just be willing to pay extra for that because of the labor involved, but again--it's ALL worth it! read more

Originally, I was looking for a used pair of high-end speakers priced above $10K when new, but ended up with purchasing a brand new pair at a very fair price from Hoa. During the transaction, Hoa made prompt responses to my questions by emails and phone calls. These efforts made me confident to pay the big bill and ended up with a great experience. Boy am I glad I shopped around. These guys are much cheaper than the stereo store for any installation, and have much more experience than them. I checked with the Stereo Store for an installation of a dvd system, 4 channel amp, and replacing all speakers and every person I talked to gave me a different price and story. I also saw some of their work and it looked pretty half assed. The guys here at Audio Files charged much less than any competitor and went above and beyond in making sure my install was done properly and will last a long time. They didn't get a 5th star because I have alternator noise and instead of getting me in right away to fix it, I keep having to make appointments that aren't until late in the day. If you want something installed correctly and with a lot of care and not half assed, I highly recommend this place. The other places have kids that used to work at Best Buy and charge a third more. By the way, these guys are certified master installers and were rated one of the top 50 installers in the nation. I'll be back for all car stereo needs in the future. read more

If I could give Audiofiles more than 5 stars I would. They've been serving our car and home audio needs since they opened 10yrs ago. Last week they tinted the front windows on my wife's new Lexus. It came out perfect. This is car number 9 that they have tinted for us. In November we had them add 3m paint protection clear bra on the front of our Honda and Lexus. That stuff is incredible and virtually invisible. This summer we had them upgrade our 55" LED to a projector and 100" screen. Their installer did a great job of making sure to hang everything perfectly. My OCD couldn't handle it if everything wasn't perfectly centered. We couldn't be happier but our Great Dane on the other hand still can't decide what to make of it when he sees other dogs on that huge screen. It's hilarious. When it comes to my review of Audiofiles I can speak from years and years of personal shopping experience. Not sure how anyone can give these guys a 2 star rating. They always go out of their way to make things right. Here's what I'd like to add to the closing of my 5 star review.... Nobody's perfect and sometimes things don't go as planned. I had a new stereo installed in my vehicle. I noticed couple years later that the fan for the back AC vents was no longer working and it had been working before the install. I returned to Audiofiles to see if they would fix it. They did, right away, and since it was just a wire than had been knocked off during install, without charging me. I was very impressed. Everything was going so well with my experience at Audiofiles until i hit a bump, literally. I needed my car radio installed in a short notice because i was moving to San Diego and needed to run my iphone through the system. They made it happen by ordering a new kit to fit my volvo and they installed it in a super timely manner which was awesome. However, I was not told that my steering wheel access to volume would not work after the installation process. I used this alot in my car and was very upset to see that I lost its ability with no communication from the employee. The kit that had to fit my car was fine except the color didnt match all the way and it just made my nice car look cheap. Lastly, the second I drove off and went over my first pot hole the entire console pops out! At this point I am already on my way to California so I cant turn around and give these guys a piece of my mind like I really wanted to. Everyday I have to shove my entire audio console back into place because it pops out every time I drive over a tiny bump. It was like it was installed by babies. I wish I could have them re-do it properly because my car is really nice (to me) and now it looks super cheap inside because my radio is constantly pushed out. I have given up pushing it back in because I know its just going to come back out in minutes. Overall the timelines was great however that may be the demise of Audiofiles seeing that my installation process seemed rushed and the quality defiantly slipped. Advice, ask alot of questions and dont go out of town after installing in case something goes wrong. read more

I am just very impressed with the way these guys stuck with a problem and worked on it until resolved. I had a pretty nice (I think) backup camera system installed which had a series of weirdest problem over the last 6+ months. A lot of labor was put into locate this difficult/unexpected problem and as of this week, the problem was found/corrected! I don't normally write reviews, but I was so pleased that I felt like I should (am doing). I also had them tint my windows (another car) about 8 years ago. It was done perfectly and still enjoying the tint on that older car. I noticed a few negative reviews here, but I think even in those negative reviews, it's pretty clear that the guys are consistently nice and persistently trying to resolve what ever problem the customer was facing. I guess some problems do pop up (since nothing in the world is perfect) but I gotta say these guys will stick with it until it is resolved.
