Overpriced We strongly recommend going elsewhere. Curt and his team fully lied about their abilities / skills and in the end did a lot of damage to our lighting, sound system, and processing system. They quoted fixing various items and in the end fixed NONE of them. Imagine paying thousands for nothing. We have already hired another company who highlighted all the areas Lewis Audio damaged our system. The incompetence is unreal. Curt is an absolute liar and is always trying to charge you more to fix one small item after another - only to not fix anything at all. Con artist. I spoke with a sales person one month before I moved in. Told him what I was looking for help hanging two tv on the wall and install a souround sound system. They insisted I wait so he can see the house. Ok I agreed. Shows up for our appointment Tells me I should do a Sonos system I had already decided that Told me to hang 2 tv will take 2 people 6 hours. This is not complicated into dry wall wires already their. Also I need 175 surge protector to save a 500 tv He left told me as soon as they got my deposit I can get scheduled not before to give me an idea of time frame. Sam is AWESOME! Beyond my expectations on the install, and I am very picky. He was extremely thorough, very professional and took the time to teach us how to understand our new system. We had ceiling speakers put in, a soundbar and outside speakers. He also spent time debugging our Sonos system with our new Wi-Fi router, which only broadcasts in 5G. Apparently it is super new technology that even Xifinity couldn't make it function correctly. read more

Two stars for one reason only: prices too high. Shop around, you can do better, which is too bad because I try to support local businesses. They have a lot of sweet gear, mostly higher-end consumer grade home theater stuff. I don't remember seeing much audiophile stereo gear. Lewis also performs a lot of in-home installation services. They just did a huge remodel so they have to be doing ok for themselves. Good place to browse. read more

We used Lewis Audio and Video about two years ago on the recommendation of our interior designer to install a tv in our master bedroom during a remodel. Despite the fact that I orally requested a tv with USB access in the front, they installed a Sony Bravia tv affixed to the wall with the USB port on the back - inaccessible, practically speaking. Their setup for the Sony Bravia tv has never worked and each time they have come to the house they have charged handsomely to fix it. Each time they said something else was needed - about $200 for a fancy universal remote left without an instruction book that needs reset periodically and about $200 for an Apple modem that needed resetting each time the Comcast internet went out (which is frequently in our area). Resetting is not as easy with an Apple modem as it is with others so we finally abandoned it in frustration and Comcast gave us a new one that works far better. Each time you call Lewis Audio and Video it's a huge service charge, no service warranty seemed to come with the installation and I hesitated to call them even during the months immediately after the installation. Costs really built up. The expensive remote they sold us and programmed stopped working and I can't justify paying another $200 service call for them to reprogram it each time something Comcast does changes. We are back to using the tv and Comcast remotes together instead. The installer didn't show me how to program the expensive universal remote because he said it was too complicated and he "made it easy for me." We have other tvs in the house, all purchased at Costco for far less money and installed ourselves, and we manage to deal with them ourselves. This is our worst tv as far as synching with Comcast is concerned. I don't know whether it is a bad choice for use with Comcast or whether it was just programmed wrong from the start. We definitely regret hiring this company and would never do it again. Oh yes, one other thing - the installer fixed the volume on the tv and now that the universal remote doesn't work, it cannot be changed. read more
