Brought in computer for blank desktop. Technician had no idea what problem was, returned (with $125 charge) with blank desktop. Had to bring in three times for partial repair, had to install all personal data myself. They did not know how to clear original personal data taking up memory. Technician was not just ignorant, but also evasive and unable to articulate problems/solutions. Problem reoccurred a week later: Staples identified and fixed problem in one day. Moral: avoid Primisy's at all costs--better to buy new computer if necessary. read more

Needed a laptop key replaced. They did not only show me where I can myself order it from but also explained how simple it is to fix it and left it up to me if I wanted to try it or pay $50 for their expert to do it. I tried it myself and I was done in 20 seconds, it saved me $ and made me feel good!!! But guess what? I must admit I was a little put off seeing one-star reviews of this company -- until I read them through and it became clear that people were complaining that their issues were FIXED -- but maybe they didn't like that the expert identified the problem quickly and then (gasp!!) asked them to pay for the service that was rendered. Another review left me wondering if they knew anything about the machine they brought in to be 'wiped and reloaded'. Amazing. Everything fixed and yet we complain?? That was most definitely NOT my experience with Primisys. I needed a system that could handle my photography and video editing work without getting bogged down. What I did not want is a machine intended for gaming; anything off the shelf, and I'd still have to customize it. And as a person sensitive to sound, I also wanted a QUIET machine. With my list of necessities for my new system in hand, I called Primisys to see what they could do for me. It took very little time to come up with the parameters that would define my new computer. I needed screaming speed. I needed lots of room on the HD. I needed a graphics card suited to my work. And it's very, very quiet. I actually have to look at it to see the light on And they came through. My custom system was officially "born" today and it's everything I dreamed it would be and more. I have speed. Made me wait 3 weeks for a motherboard to ship, which is ridiculous on its own, but then they forgot to plug in my GPU when they installed said motherboard, so I had to do that myself. And then on top of that, the whole issue I was having wasn't even fixed by their solution. I wasted 3 weeks of my time with these people and have nothing to show for it. Well we took our laptop and cord into these guys because it died and would not start up. He took the cord and said that was the problem, took him about 2 minutes to straighten one of the prongs on it. He said that will be $50. I said holy s%#t, that much. He said well, I guess we could charge you the diagnostic price of $40. Wow, I wish I could make $25 a minute, i'd change my career in a heartbeat. Hard to rate since I called to schedule service and the guy seemed put out by my call. I was told they would fill out a service ticket for me. I've heard great things about them from our neighbors but It's been several weeks and no return call... so very frustrating. I guess I'll have to take my business somewhere else. read more

I took my computer here for a "wipe and reload". A couple of days later I received a call to ask me if I wanted to save the files on my computer. Yes, of course I wanted to save my files which included my Turbo tax info for two years. When we received our computer back ALL OF THE FILES were gone. When I questioned them about this, I was told that someone had tried to set the computer to an earlier date and thus destroyed the hard drive. If the hard drive was destroyed, why was I asked if I wanted to save my files? In addition, the repair work went into several weeks. You would think that a reputable business would at least let me know if they had additional problems. I called several times and made a personal visit and was always told that it was taking so long because they were putting all the files back on. All these weeks to replace the files yet, all of the files are GONE!! My computer does work much better. read more
