I asked them to copy the data from my old hard drive to my NEW computers hard drive. They said that they could, What I got from them was a new laptop with only empty folders, NO data, No files... PGE had a blown transformer outside our house and my hp monitor was fried. I was able to buy a refurbished unit from Right On in Newberg, OR and have been exceedingly pleased. They tested the old one and told me where I could find a new one just like it but they had a used one so I took it and have not been disappointed. By the way PGE paid for it! The owners of Right On are cordial, respectful, and take their time to explain the issues. I tread lightly writing this review, but this interaction has stuck with me in a despairing manner. I am a college student who attends school online (my computer is important), I am a mother to two young children, and I work full time. My computer screen cracked, I called Right On Computers who quoted me a reasonable price saying the computer would be fixed by the following Wednesday nonetheless I would be contacted. I never heard from them.. I called Friday about my repair and eta. The man on the phone was angry, defensive, it showed in his voice. Then, He lied. Saying they called, yet no voicemail was left and I checked my caller ID. Then he said their screen guy only works two days a week. Then he said oh we just got your part. It seemed like I was an inconvenience. I told him I would be in that afternoon to pick up my computer. He calls back suddenly the screen guy can "accommodate me" Wow?! Well, I really needed my computer at this point I said ok, although I just wanted the business interaction to be over. I went to pick up my laptop on my lunch break with my two children under two, where I was angrily berated, yelled at, called names, threatened, he unapologetically removed my laptop password, and treated my family so horribly. He told me to "watch it", because, "I am good for nothing and I don't know who he knows in this town." (??!!) I left this shop in tears with him slamming the door behind me and my family. My toddler had nightmares and still asks why these mean men were yelling at us. Horrible customer service and lack of professionalism is an understatement. I wanted to support small business but I wish I never stepped into their doors, and I hope justice serves itself. This entire experience was horrible. read more

Called these guys after spilling water all over my laptop and got walked through what to do (step by step) to give it the highest chance of survival. The guy on the phone was very helpful and explained what my options would be if certain parts didn't work after I let the laptop dry. I took my laptop in for some work, transfer all data to a new laptop, very simple and uncomplicated. Later that day I called for a status update and was treated very rudely, "I will call you when it's ready" he spits out... shortly, maybe 5 minutes later he called, it was ready, When I went to pick up the machines I tried to ask some follow-up questions regarding my files but the technician refused to allow me to even complete the question, he was practically screaming that "it takes time to transfer files" very defensive and rude... absolutely refused to let me get my question out, I became so angry I could not speak, I paid and took my laptop home... DO NOT GO HERE... the guy has no concept of customer service. "He is always right" and will not even allow you to speak, because he "Knows" what you're going to ask and he doesn't want to hear it. read more

Quick work, and seemed very honest, definitely didn't try to "up sell" me. The only thing that made me nervous was I didn't get any sort of claim slip for my computer, but it sounds like that's their M.O. and I had no troubles. We have an old Dell all in one computer that we've had since 2010. We updated from Vista to Windows 10 over the years. It had gotten extremely slow to the point of impossible to get anything done. We took it in to this place to see if it was worth doing anything with it. A gentleman named Clare (sp?) Said he would clean it up and remove any adware or viruses, put a new solid state drive and add ram. It works like a charm, all for $175. Saved us thousands for now. Well I am so pleased that Right On Computers was able to fix my 2005 computer. My kids kept telling me to get a new one, but I hate the thought of more electronics in the landfill! Their prices were fair and I got it back in about 3 days, and he even told me how I can keep it running smoothly. Have had 2 experiences with these guys. The first was quite some time ago with a hard drive failure. This repair went well. The latest was a month or so ago, computer would power down with no warning. Was immediately pressured with buying a refurbished machine upon dropping computer off for repair. ROC replaced power supply and charged me $100 ($40 for new power supply, $60 for the 15 minutes labor to put it in). Took machine home and it still had same symptom. Brought it back to shop and was pressured to buy a refurbished machine again. Could not afford that, but there was a lower priced used computer which was more reasonable. ROC tech assured me all date could be transferred over for a fee. Finally brought replacement computer home and no old e-mail. These guys are only interested in the sale anymore, not in the needs or concerns of the customer. Will cross the street in the future to avoid sharing even my shadow on their doorstep. I can't even give this business one star. I dropped my laptop off on a Tuesday morning and was told I'd get a call by the next day with an assessment of the problem. On Friday, someone finally called me to tell me that they couldn't fix it in house and would need to send it out to a contractor and that he would call me the following Tuesday. No one called so I called them on Thursday and was told that it was fixed, would be ready in the afternoon and someone would call me in an hour with the cost. When no one had called four hours later, I called them and I was told that, actually, my computer wasn't fixed at all because the person who could fix it had gone on vacation, so I would need to wait another week or so for them to take it back to the contractor and then it would be fixed! I went to pick up the computer instead so I could take it somewhere else and when I expressed my dissatisfaction with their service, the employee there told me that I was lucky he even looked at the computer since it's three years old. He said no one else would even bother with it, but if I wanted to leave it with him, he'd fix it for half the price anyone else would. When I explained that it was their unprofessionalism and poor customer service that was sending me elsewhere, he told me to get out. read more
