From the moment we chatted on yelp, Anton was super communicative and transparent, so even though he doesn't have the lowest rate, I decided to use him anyway. He promised to come the next day. I just wanted a blackout curtain installed and it involved parts I didn't (still don't) know how to put together myself. He showed up and showed up on time (on a Sunday), even a few minutes early. He did the job extremely well within the estimated timeframe and did not pressure me to leave a positive review. He was respectful and efficient. Amazing handyman! I would not hesitate to use him again when I need to in the future as long as he serves my area.

Because our house is built like a tank, every single bay between studs had multiple horizontal studs. He found a solution that worked and it looks spectacular. Our previous tv had not centered by the installer, and it was off just enough to make me crazy. Dennis got this behemoth dead on center, and with as many studs as he screwed into, this mount will never move. The scope of our job was: -Remove 85" tv & mount -Install new mount & 98" tv -In wall wiring (I love this part!!! We reached out to Intellihome, they heard our ideas, added a few additional quality-of-life features that we hadn't even thought of, and got to work. Im not sure what I was expecting, but the end result exceeds even those vague expectations. The new wiring is a big future-proofing upgrade, wires are tucked neatly into the wall, and as you can see in my photo, there are zero cables hanging from the TV -- a crucial feature when you have four curious, chaotic cats. Intellihome was extremely easy to work with, exceedingly professional, and they do great work. When we eventually opt for further surround sound upgrades, we'll be calling Intellihome.

With the amount of work that goes in to proximity keys I was stunned by the $150 up charge for an older car. Originally I was going to get a spare key for my 2017 Acura but have decided that I wanted to get my civic keys done as a priority. Reuven was friendly and honest from the get go, gave me a flat rate and then offered to program for just a little bit more. He didn't mind at all and I really appreciated the generosity. My nephew has an AV business in California and was up visiting us in Portland. He convinced us it was time to upgrade our sound system, television etc. . We had wanted to do this for some time, but kept putting it off. We knew we'd need to find someone really good and it felt daunting to start the search. My nephew evaluated our needs and then researched finding someone local he felt would do the best job for us. He found Matt, interviewed him and recommended we try him. One of the things he said about Matt was that he knew what he was doing and was extremely professional. . In my opinion, there was a lot to do, but Matt made it seem very doable. He was extremely knowledgeable about all of the product choices he suggested and helped us understand pros and cons to each one. We had to upgrade our cable hardware with Comcast and he provided a punch list for us so we would understand what to ask for. He assured us he would come behind them and make sure everything was done correctly and cleanly, and he did. Installation day was long but interesting. We have a 1929 house that always provides challenges, but Matt worked with his assistant efficiently and patiently. He was meticulous and focused. Matt is someone who does not give up easily. He is thoughtful and wants to make things work, even if challenges are presented. We are extremely happy, the outcome has been beyond anything we expected. He has been very responsive if we every have any questions regarding operating any of our equipment. . He was reasonably priced but I honestly would not have flinched knowing what I know now. He is a gem and we feel fortunate to have found him. I am very particular, more than most people. He exceeded my expectations and I would strongly recommend anyone using him. Contacted Matt with Hook Me Up Solutions after seeing a glowing review from my one of my neighbors. Matt provided a loose estimate over the phone for what I could expect for the mounting of two flat panel televisions. Matt and his assistant arrived promptly (after sending an ETA vis text message) and quickly set to work. Matt kept me informed of things that could be done in addition to mounting the television (hiding wires, installing wired internet to the televisions, etc) and appraised me of what the cost would be prior to any work. Matt showed me an outline of where the televisions would be and after our approval, went to work. The entire installation went "no muss no fuss". Matt cleaned up all debris and the televisions looked great. Once our furniture went in, we quickly found that our main television resembled the front row of a movie theater and was not very comfortable to watch. We also found that the main television had no hard-wire internet connection (Comcast came after the television mounting). I contacted Matt again and he came by the next day. Matt informed me that he could lower the television but I would need to pay for a different mount (power supply and junction box in the way). No problem as this was not a fix of something that Matt had done wrong, merely a preference on our part. Matt diagnosed our hard wire internet problem and fixed it while at the same time making all of our telephone lines "hot" allowing the placement of the telephone anywhere in the house. Television was at a much better placement for the room after lowering. Matt then only demanded the $45 dollars for the mount. I was blown away. I gave Matt more than he demanded as I wanted to compensate for his time and effort. Great guy and great local company. Will use again and recommend highly. read more

I had been wanting a new DVD and sound system for a long time but was overwhelmed by the options and the thought of taking my old one apart and getting the new one installed wad daunting so kept putting it off. Finally I contacted Matt and he came to view the area so he knew what would work best in my apartment and what kind of a sound system I was looking for. He then sent me several options that I was able to review and contrast - and once I decided on the DVD/sound system I wanted and let him know - it was there the next day!! It was so awesome not to have to worry about the install. Matt was very deliberate and careful, showing up with all the right tools and carefully taking everything I had down without scratching, breaking, or tearing up any of my furniture or existing equipment. The install went very fast and he was able to split the LAN internet cable so that I had direct hookup to the internet for both my computer and my sound system! So the "smart" functions on the new DVD sound system not only LOOK amazing, but they run incredibly quickly and smoothly on the internet connection and wow the sound! It was really nice to know that he was taking everything seriously, where the speakers would not only work best but look best, and how carefully he re-attached everything including the cable boxes and existing equipment so that the finished product looked good and I had no cleanup or fussing to do afterwards. He went through the set-up process of the new DVD player/sound system and helped me get certain things set up and showed me functions I would haven't even known about. I'm nothing close to a techie. So, in my research of an AV company to get speakers and tv installed I went right to Yelp. I heard some horror stories from friends and neighbors from lazy and un professional companies. When I looked up tv installation, I saw hook me up solutions, and gave them a call. He answered and was very professional and polite; i'm not used to this for this type of work. He recommended that a visual survey would give me an accurate quote. He rolled out the same day, actually 2 hours later. Took a look around, asked me questions on what I normally use the tv for, ect... He left and said he'll send an email over with the quote within 5 hours, and he sent it back in 3. I agreed to the price, and scheduled out the next day. This is a dream come true, the job was finished within 6 hours, nothing damaged, very clean work, wires hidden, cables organized, even cleaned our tv, vacuumed, swept up his crews mess, and sat down with my wife and I a few tips on our Comcast remote and electronics care. Had Matt out with his crew to install a Wilson cell booster in my home. They showed up on time ( unusual for most contractors) and were very professional. The install included outside and attic hook ups. Our power was out at the time but they came prepared so it didn't effect the install. When power came back on he finished up. All messes were cleaned up and he noted to my husband a few spots that needed to be sealed from a previous direct tv hookup. While he was here I asked for a battery back up and power protector for my computer and T.V.'s. as the current surge protectors were not up to par. Matt returned later in the day to take care of it all for me. I have never been so pleased with the quality of work, and scope of knowledge. I now have 4 bars on my cell where I had 1 sketchy one before. Power goes out I will still have internet thanks to battery back up. I would highly recommend him . I found their ad on Craigslist, which always makes me a little nervous. But, after reading all of their high Yelp reviews, I decided to take a chance and call them. SO GLAD I DID!! Matt was able to assess my complex AV needs over the phone, cut me deals on all of the components I purchased from him, and was able to come over and do the job the next day! He and Clint showed up on time, knocked it out in a few hours, and were even courteous when my obnoxious Labs (sorry about the chewed rolls of electrical tape!) harassed them throughout their time here. Later that night, I was having intermittent audio issues when watching Netflix, so I emailed Matt. He emailed back right away, helped me troubleshoot the cause and, once we determined it was a faulty optical cable, he scheduled a time that worked best for me, to come back out and run a new cable, free of charge. This is my first review written, but the 2nd time I've used "Hook Me Up Solutions" to complete my home theatre installation and setup. Matt Alloway (Owner) and Wyatt were very thorough and meticulous when installing my 65" UHDTV. First and foremost Matt would review the work to be completed. Because I'm not an expert in A/V, Matt was very helpful in making height suggestions for the TV as well as updating component firmware. I am totally suspicious of a business with nothing but five star reviews. I always wonder if a bunch of friends and relatives aren't stuffing the ballot box. I don't give five stars out very often. Hook Me Up Solutions is the real deal. I called Matt out to resolve an issue with my A/V receiver and subwoofer. He not only fixed that issue, he then checked every aspect of my installation including my smart panel. He suggested a couple of low cost cable upgrades, and new digital splitters in my smart panel. These are things that should have been done correctly with the original installation. The result: problem solved. I had Matt come out originally to add some 'wall fishing' to run one line of Ethernet cable from the basement to the upstairs office. He was wonderful about giving me all my options and in the end, he put in four different Ethernet port in different spots in my house. I have both home computers hard wired, my television hard wired and an extra port for possible expansion. He also moved my model to a more central location which gives me better wifi coverage. I wanted to install my 50" plasma tv over the fireplace and connect a 7.1 sound system for home theatre. I called up Matt and despite his tight schedule was there by 7pm the same day. I told him upfront that as part of remodeling work my contractor might do the work and I may not need his advice. Not to worry, he gave me lot of useful advice and questions to ask the contractor. The installation required special tools that needed to be rented to get the rock done. I have stone siding and Matt concealed all exterior cables plus a full 360 degree coverage. I called hook me up solutions to mount my t.v. on my wall. Matt answered the phone himself and was very informative. He asked me questions about what I wanted and a few details about my home and gave me a rough estimate over the phone and said he can be more precise when he comes to do the install. I called Matt when I was having trouble with the audio on my home theater system. Having purchased the components from different places, I was getting the runaround from the manufacturers. Matt instantly knew what was wrong, and told me that the Yamaha receiver and the Samsung TV don't always "play nice" together. He offered to come out at 8pm that evening (great service!) or I could purchase a cable and told me how to connect it myself. It's always hard deciphering truth from fiction on Yelp, but Hook Me Up Solutions is great. Matt and his team are totally legit. They were on time, professional, very courtesy and polite. This guy knows his stuff! I had Matt come out and hook up my receiver to my surround sound. He is very professional and he even dusted my TV stand. Great service and reasonable pricing. While he might have had his doubts, his expertise made this an easy, straight-forward install without any hitches. He also connected us with Metro Drywall to patch up the necessary cuts in the walls with which to install the wiring, and that worked to perfection as well. Only 2 runs so far, going to a network closet, but we will likely be adding more at some point. They were able to put the jacks exactly where we wanted, and used a professional faceplate for where the runs terminated in the network closet, as opposed to something open in the wall. They also cleaned up a bunch of non-functional cable from outside the house. Super patient and nice people, and Stephen gave us a lot of options for the install, even though it ended up just being the 2 runs.
