O'REILLY AUTO PARTS RULES!…read more WHILE POWER GMC TRIED TO RIPP ME OFF! OK, rewinding 1 year ago...I was having an issue with my Silverado Pickup, where the engine light came on, and said "Service Select Track" and the car was running rough. Power GMC charged me $1300 to diagnose and repair the problem (Spark plugs, wires, etc.). Then shortly after my fuel pump started acting up, and the same obligatory $1300 was quoted again. I see a pattern with their pricing, and asked why so much? They told me the fuel pump was $600 from O'reilly Auto Parts. I went to the parts store and bought the same pump for $300, and was told that they wouldn't warranty the installation unless I accepted the extra $300 shelf markup. I said I don't care just install it. Back to current times - The car was running rough last week, and I went back to Power and said, "Hey I just had this fixed and it is giving me the same issues". He gave me the exact speech about: diagnosis $180; Spark plugs, etc. $1300. So I went back to O'reilly to price out the parts, and the Lady there was a beam of light from heaven! She was so knowledgeable about car issues that she talked me into fixing it myself. So I went to Amazon and ordered a diagnostic code reader $38, and got the code from the reader "P0301" - Misfire on Piston 1. Went back to O'reilly and bought a spark plug for $1.90. It took 10 minutes to replace the spark plug in their parking lot, and guess what? The engine codes reset after driving, and the car runs great! I did the same repair job that power did for $1300, and for a total cost of (Drumroll Please)... $39.90. And it only took me 10 minutes! I was livid! They held my car for over a week to make me believe that they were doing a lot of work. When the reality set in, I was very sure that those people are the most dishonest people on the planet. Mechanics in general prey upon unsuspecting customers who are not mechanically inclined. They markup their parts almost double, and lie to your face about small repairs that they know would be easy to fix yourself. Don't believe them!!! And, do not accept their obligatory $1300 service fees. Question them, and ask for a breakout pricing list of any work they quote you on. Do not believe anything they say. They lie, they lie, they lie... BUT O'REILLY AUTO PARTS WILL HELP YOU GET AWAY FROM THEM! FIX YOUR OWN CAR WITH O'REILLY AUTO PARTS!

They informed me of what issues I should take care of quickly and which ones I can hold of on. As a college student it was good to know what other issues I would need to save up for with out being pressured to fix them right away. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE SCAMMING THIEVES. THEY ARE A "STEALER-SHIP". STAY AWAY!!! SCAMMERS…read more PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING OR SERVICING ANY GM VEHICLE! About me: I drive a 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer ACTIV AWD 1.3L Turbo with all the options. I am the first owner. I am also suing GM due to being sold a lemon. I suggest you do the same. It is shady/lazy stealerships like yours that are the worst part of the customer experience in getting my NEW car repaired. I paid $36,131.30 for a piece of trash. I am expecting a large settlement. VIN: KL79MSSL7PB009966 *** (In the photos I provided are service documents containing parts MSRP written in blue pen by "Power Corvallis", and then what they attempted to charge both my extend warranty, which they reasonably refused their pricing and labor hours. Leaving me with 900 - 1100$ out of pocket costs after extended warranty would pay) *** WHAT HAPPENED: They found out I had an extended warranty and they price gouged/overcharged me 50-250%+ MSRP for parts and inflated labor hours compared to all other dealers in OR and WA states. (See price quoted vs MSRP written in blue pen.) Aaron informed me I was unable to proceed with any service unless he checked the check engine light code for "an hour of service" @ 185.74$ even when I had checked the code for free at AutoZone. It did not take them 5 min to check the code and they charged me for 1 hour of service. I was supposed to have a refund of 85.74$ from Power Corvallis after deducting my deductible of 100$ from the 185.74$ I had paid. I was told I could take my vehicle to a more reputable shop by my warranty company, so I reluctantly did. They knew I had 14$ left and left me with a hole in my pocket after what they did. They knew they were stealing my money when they gave me a quote for over 900-1100$+ out of pocket costs mostly for labor AFTER my Extended warranty agreed to pay them fair MSRP... something they REFUSED to honor yet every other reputable Chevrolet dealership DID honor. After taking the vehicle to the MUCH MORE REPUTABLE "Dick Hannah Chevrolet" in Sandy, OR, who was able to provide me NEXT DAY SHIPPING ON PARTS that were on 30 - 45+ day national back order, AND offered to diagnose the vehicle a second time FOR FREE. Only charging me if there was a repair. They know I am extremely low income, stranded in another state 2000 miles away from my family out of money, and I do not get paid for another 4 weeks. Yet they still decided to rob me. They refused to price match to allow the extended warranty to cover MSRP. By the time I got to my appointment the next morning at a Chevrolet Dick Hannah, my check engine light had gone away, rendering me with a vehicle in need of repairs still but no way to get it verified due to them wasting my time. I am now unable to get my repairs covered as they need it to be on at Dick Hannah Chevrolet or any dealership. All they did was steal my 185.74$, for plugging in a code scanner for a few seconds and price gouge to the point I was unable and still unable to get this repair fixed due to having my time and fixed income wasted. I drove 2000 miles from Minnesota and I will have to drive back later with this same issue due to them without a repair in sight. You left me with according to you Power Corvallis and associates, a 2200$ repair with no remediation in sight and an additional 185.74$ I NEED TO FIX THIS CAR. I HAVE 14$ LEFT AND NO GAS AFTER DRIVING AND TRUSTING YOU TO FIX WHAT YOU REFUSED TO AT A MSRP LIKE A NORMAL DEALERSHIP. SHAME ON YOU!!! DO NOT GIVE THEM A PENNY OF YOUR BUSINESS OR TIME OF DAY! GO ELSEWHERE!!! SUE GM!!!
