I have brought my girls in twice to get manicures and honestly have left with a frustrated feeling. They do a good job with the nails and are generally nice. It has to do with the miscommunication that has occurred both times. I requested manicures when making the appointment and at the front desk and after the 20 minute wait they are preparing for pedicures. I have to repeat myself and the one worker shows frustration. I am not sure if the workers are so busy that they are not hearing me?!The fact that this is the second time doesn't help, I guess. I do not see myself coming back. read more

I got a French tip full set here & I am not happy with my experience. The lady who was doing my nails had put a few of the tips on crooked & when I tried pointing it out she kept saying she would fix it later & I said she might just need to take the tips off & fit me for new ones due to one of them clearly being way too small for my nail. She basically ignored what I said, continued with the nails, & left several of them crooked. I complain very rarely about little things like that & the entire time she seems very annoyed with me for saying anything. Also, another lady doing my friends nails proceeded to say "she won't make up her mind" because I spent a moment looking at the nail polish colors (terrible selection) & decided to do French tip instead. read more

I came in for a quick underarm waxing and it was by far the best waxing my underarms have ever had. I have dark thick hair and she made sure to go through and pluck any of the hairs that didn't get pulled with the wax. (and I HATE doing this myself, gives me a headache/makes my neck hurt). Not only does she do and amazing job (she is a perfectionist!), she has the biggest heart of anyone I have ever met. She is so incredibly kind that it really touches you. Very disappointing. Which is surprising since my boss's wife and coworker's wives go here to get their nails done. Went to get shellac on natural nails. 1st, she over buffed my nails. My natural nails are now paper thin. 2nd, my cuticles were never pushed down. Then when I said my nails were all crooked, she looked at them and then said, "no they're not". Big mistake. That's the one thing that will set me off when I tell you something and you flat out contradict me. So I took the nail file from her and filed them myself. Then the sparkly polish that I chose wasn't getting sparkles on my nails when the sample was clearly sparkly. So some other lady came over and said something about a second coat will add more sparkles and that she would do one nail to test it. It was much better. Well, then the ladies switched, she probably didn't have much patience. So now a new lady is putting a second coat on my nails, she's really confused since one hand already had one that had 2 coats. I had to explain it 3 or 4 times and the other nosey lady comes in and tells her what to do. Apparently English was a problem for her. Then she goes to do the French tip (extra service charge, it was discussed before hand, but just so everyone is aware, I'm getting a $25 service, not their $15 service). So I get the white tips and notice that the sides are missed. I catch it and have her add polish to 2 on one hand and then 2 more on the other. Well after I left, I noticed that the other hand on the far side was all jacked still. It's been 2 weeks now. My polish was chipped after just 3 days! And I broke TWO nails this weekend after just 2 weeks. My nails were extra short, should not have done that. I won't be going back after my terrible experience. read more

I've been to Auburn Nails several times. LOVE this place! The salon looks very clean and nice; also their new massage chairs are excellent. The staff is incredibly sweet and friendly. I always have the best natural-looking and long-lasting manicures here. Not to mention that they also provide a FREE fix within the first week of service if for some reason your nail cracked or peeled; how can you beat that? I love this salon and will definitely come back here. I highly recommended this salon for all. read more

I've been getting my nails done for the last 13 years and this is the first Salon that I have become a regular at. My nail lady Cindy makes me EXCITED to go get my nails done... not just because I know my nails will look amazing but because they have become my friends. Lucy welcomes all her customers as if they are family and making you happy is the most important thing to them. I have sent SEVERAL of my friends there for their nails and they are now part of the Auburn Nail family as well. I love them and I love my nails. :) I will be a customer for life! yay! read more

Today was my second time going to this salon and unfortunately I won't go back. Both times I requested a full set of nails with a dip and pedicure. The first time pedicure was ok at best and when Tammy started to do my fingernails (don't know name of girl who did pedi) she started to just give me dip polish and no nails. Thank goodness manager was sitting next to her and explained to her what I wanted. She did a good job once she understood what I wanted. Today I went in for exact same thing and told her minimum 3 times what I wanted. I could tell right away she had no idea what I wanted. Even though I pointed out to her that 1 nail had fallen off and 2 were ready to, honestly up til then she didn't even realize I had fake nails on. Anyway, long story short I walked out with just a dip nail paint job. No long nails or even a decent manicure. The pedicure however was EXCELLENT, unfortunately I don't know her name. The most frustrating part of the entire experience is that I specifically made an appointment with Tammy to get the nails done exactly like she did them last time. I thought I was safe. read more

I came in without an appointment on a Saturday and didn't have to wait. I needed shellac color change. One girl took the shellac off and a different one put the new color on. I wanted light pink on all fingers with glitter on my ring finger. She ended up doing glitter on all of them because she wasn't paying attention. Not a big deal, just a minor annoyance. The reason they are getting three stars and I won't return is that the girl putting color on was soliciting financial services. She said she had to get 5 a day, and if I was interested, I could fill out the questionnaire and her manager would call me. Uh, no thanks. The suite is older and run down. I have gone here off on for years. Last week, the nail tech took a hunk of skin out at the base of my 5th toe with her pumice stone. When I pointed out the injury, and that it was bleeding, she promptly doused it with rubbing alcohol. When I let the manager know about the injury, the nail tech glared at me. I wasn't offered a refund or anything. "Sorry we hurt you" was the only thing they said. Cellulitis developed and I am still on antibiotics and can't wear tennis shoes yet. Looking for a new salon now. read more

If you are looking for a good manicure, I suggest you don't come here!!!' They over charge. Paid almost $40 for a fullest! Crazy! Instead of white i got black. Their prices are not what it says on the bored. Also with my full set my nails were not even shaped! They look horrible! The lady I got I can not remember her name but she was rude! I have been going to Lucy for more than 15 years. Whether I have a manicure & color or shellac, I never have cause for complaint. She is excellent. She is the only manicurist I have ever found that gives me pedicure that is a 5 star. It's a good shop, well kept & anxious to please. I am amazed that Lucy knows every customer's name. read more
