Food is always flavorful and fresh. The restaurant is open and airy without sacrificing coziness. The menu offers an excellent variety and they are always willing to go off menu to meet the demands of picky eaters or for dietary purposes. Ate twice at Aubrey's recently while traveling - once on a weeknight and again on a Saturday night. Different experiences. Food was consistently good. The weekday special of blackened catfish with dirty rice and slaw was delicious. Enjoyed the extensive local craft beer list. There were very few customers, so there was plenty of space between tables. No wait for a table. On the return trip, I stopped in again. I went back because the hotel front desk gave another strong recommendation saying they had never heard a complaint. This time I had the rattlesnake pasta - chicken, spinach and a spicy cream sauce. Plus the special tonight was 1/2 priced bottles of wine, even the premium selection. I really liked that. What was a bit troubling on a Saturday, was the 20-30 minute wait for a table. So I ventured into the bar for a beverage while I waited for a table. What I observed was the bar area filled to capacity with no one but the bartender and me wearing facial covering. I got my drink and left immediately. In the dining area, every table was taken, so Aubrey's is definitely popular and rightfully so, they serve consistently good meals in a pleasant atmosphere. If you are concerned with flattening the COVID curve, avoid on weekends. read more

Every time I have been here it has been off the wall and the waitress staff knows exactly how to be attentive. The food always tastes fresh and the bread is great. Yet my only issue of my server Al times dining in is that the last time I went, the ranch didn't taste the same. Now it could be the recipe, could've been a slight change or an issue that happens rarely. It is way better than drakes in every idea of a functional restaurant establishment. Overall, this was a nice restaurant. We sat in a booth, which afforded some privacy. The restaurant was not extremely crowded on a Thursday night at around 6:30. Our server, a young man, was not overly friendly, and he mumbled, but he did check on us throughout the meal. I asked for several lemon slices in my water; I got one. I also had to ask for a new napkin, since mine had stains on it. I ordered the seafood pasta, which was very rich and creamy, with a good amount of shrimp. It tasted wonderful. My husband ordered the Asian Salad and said it was very good. When we were halfway though the meal, our server asked if we wanted dessert. We told him we'd rather wait until we finished our meal to decide, but it did make us feel like he was trying to rush us. After dinner, we split the peanut butter pie. It was good. It tasted like it was a peanut butter cool whip pie. Very rich. I'm glad we split one--the slice was huge. Final review--we go there again, if we lived in the area. read more

We went on Saturday 9/25/21 afternoon. The place was busy, with roughly 80% of the tables filled. They looked well-staffed, but everyone was extremely disorganized and appeared somewhat flustered. I'm not sure if it was a kitchen staffing issue, a poor expeditor, or ineffective management. Our server was very polite, but he seemed equally disorganized. It took us 45 minutes to get half of our food out, and an additional 15 minutes to get the other half out. The food was sadly lacking---a combination of old ingredients and sitting in the window too long. The only items that were decent were things that came out of the deep fryer. I ordered a Chicken Cranberry Salad because, earlier this year, I'd had one at the Greeneville Aubreys and it was wonderful. This one had a handful of julienned apples that were so old, they were soft and limp. (You could pick one up and it bent over into a "U" shape.) My daughter had fish and chips which were pretty good, but her side of coleslaw was obviously old, slightly discolored, and had an off-taste. She couldn't eat it. Another person in my party had a vegetable plate that took an hour to get out, with a cold baked potato and tomato bisque soup that was lukewarm and tasted like Campbells. She did say the broccoli was good, but her coleslaw was old as well. We really should have sent things back, or complained to the manager, but we'd waited so long, we just wanted to get the heck out of there. We will not be returning to this location. read more

It was the size of a hockey puck, I was almost full but I believe a cup of soup would have been perfect. Someone ordered the fish and chips small plate and it looked great! Hey Aubrey's We ate at the one in Johnson City a couple of weeks ago. The food was great, the staff seemed really stressed. We ate at Aubrey's at the Pinnacles yesterday and the food was great! The staff was nice and really seemed to enjoy what they were doing. I don't remember our waiters name, tall, thin, dark haired guy who wears a class ring. This guy was fantastic! Ate there last night, it was crowded but we were seated promptly. Our waitress, (Gracie) was there immediately, and was very polite and took our order and made us feel very welcome. I ordered the Salmon Tacos, they were delicious, although they only give you 2 of them, and a side of mushrooms. Mushrooms were delicious but very salty. I don't use salt very much so it may have just been me. My hubs order some king of fried chicken dish with gravy on top of it, looked and tasted very good. I was very disappointed in our recent visit to Aubrey's at the pinnacle. I ordered a Mushroom Swiss burger Med well & it was served completely raw on the inside. No exaggeration. They did fix me another one but it was the size of a mcDonalds hamburger. Extremely disappointed especially for $12. Our water glades has thick white rings around the middle - on the INSIDE. Not what you would expect from a high dollar restaurant. And the Mac & cheese was way over cooked... very gooey :( read more

What a pleasant surprise! Nice to know that there's a decent restaurant in The Pinnacle area!! Stopped here for dinner on our way to Bass Pro. A nice, clean atmosphere where the bar is completely separate and closed in. No TVs hanging all over the place. No obnoxiously loud and inappropriate music. Just a great place for a great meal. We ordered off the gluten free menu, which was such a nice change from most restaurants. I got the mushroom burger with a baked potato. Hubby got the patty melt with fries. We ended up at Aubrey's after the restaurant across the way was an hour and 45 min wait for a table. We are so glad we ended up at Aubrey's. The wait was only 25 min but we ended up eating at the bar after liking the vibe there. Their food is locally sourced and home made. The appetizer we chose was pimento cheese with sausage. It came with homemade crackers. The salads were large and dressings homemade. I had catfish with Parmesan spinach. My family has the ribeye and baked potato which was delicious as well. Then we decided on desserts which again are homemade and omg they were amazing. We had key lime pie and cheesecake which were made in house. You just need to go to Aubrey's. This is probably the best big restaurant in Bristol, TN. Big Menu, Big Tables, Big Bar just a good place to have a good meal if you have a diverse group of eaters in your party. Some people will eat standing up outside a food truck if the food is good. I like a comfortable booth, pleasant surroundings, to be able to hear my dinner companions, clean bathrooms and professional service. Aubrey's provides all that and very good food along with good beer selections. This area has far too few restaurants of this quality and ambiance so hopefully Aubrey's will thrive for many years. read more
