My bathroom had flooded my whole room. I tore up the carpet hoping that resolve the issue. Someon mentioned I should call a water restoration company to see if I had any other damage, so I googled water restoration and OMAC came up. I called and spoke to Hank, and he put me in contact with Jessica who was very helpful and have me a rundown of the process. John came out the next day and took pictures and had sensors to see where there was moisture. Turns out there was a lot more damage than I thought! My hall , laundry area, and guest bathroom all had moisture! The next day Mike and Anthony came out. OMAC is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. They were hired to do dirt excavation, mold remediation, and lay a rat slab under our home. On the second day of work, we came home to find our bathroom had been used by one of the workers and left incredibly smelly. We entered to open the window and spray some disinfectant fragrance when we noticed several wads of toilet paper caked and smeared with feces jammed into our garbage can. So this person's shit was just sitting there stinking up the room and left for us to clean up. The consequences of these actions are that my husband tested positive for E-Coli...we can only imagine that this person didn't wash their hands either. The property managers relayed this event to the company, and they did NOTHING. The next day, the property manager put signs up on the bathroom door requesting that they not use the facilities, which they ignored as they continued to use our restroom. We ended up putting locks on all rooms not being worked on. After this putrid event, we stayed home to monitor their actions though they were unaware that we were there. We got a chance to hear these workers talking amongst themselves, commenting about how much money they were making on the job. While on one of their many breaks, they laughed and made jokes that sitting around is what they are getting paid for. They continued to have incredibly loud conversations about how several of them grow marijuana at home to supplement their income...very professional indeed! They were scheduled to do 3-4 weeks of work. Due to their incredibly lax schedules, sometimes working a mere 3 hours, this timeline was extended to 6 weeks. Furthermore, any company that does more than $500 worth of work should have a contractor's license...OMAC does NOT have license, please be aware of this!! Opening your home to strangers involves a huge amount of trust that these are respectful, decent human beings. These were not! read more

Carpet cleaning review. My usual carpet cleaner flaked and I needed a job done fast and was referred to OMAC Restorations. Spoke with Hank who scheduled it out for the same day. Hank told me he had his best guy assigned. Jose arrived on time and started to work. It was a move in job with dirty carpets. After Jose was done, the carpets looked nearly new. I was impressed. 5 stars! The entire process from start (Sadeeq)to finish (Sandra) working with Attic Crew was professional, efficient, and communicative. My crew was Juan, Juan, and Victor and they were incredibly hard-working, pleasant problem solvers. I am so glad I chose Attic Crew because their approach was to remove the old insulation and put in new batts which is more labor-intensive than blowing in insulation, but easier to work do work in later. Some of the other companies I talked to wouldn't have gone through this step. They sealed off the room with attic access and went through the window to keep things as clean as possible. I was so impressed by their work ethic and commitment to doing a great job. Even after emerging from our attic with very dirty jump suits, they had smiles on their faces and were ready to go back in. Juan showed me photos throughout the process and the guys were very knowledgeable and thorough. They took pride in their work and really cared about the finished product and the customer. I was frantic and called Omac Restoration at 6a on Saturday. My ceiling fell down, the result of a leak. Will and Julio were here in a short period of time and took care of the mess in my master bedroom. They checked walls, carpet etc. for potential water damage. I had an unfortunate issue that caused me to look for a clean up company. This stressed me out greatly because my dad had a very bad experience with Serve Pro last year where they gutted everything in through all his furniture away. So I was particular about how they were to take things apart. With Mike arrived I was a little apprehensive but when I explained the situation and how I would like him to do it he was very accommodating. They set up a plastic wall with the zipper to section off the area that was affected so that life could go on around the deconstruction. At least go on as much as you can with four fans and a dehydrator blowing for three days. Him and his partner Anthony were in and out in about two hours and they didn't do any major damage they took apart just what they needed to. I was very appreciative of this. He said he would give the drywall a chance to dry out without opening the wall and if He needed to open the wall he would do it the next week if it didn't dry out. Thank you thank you thank you. A different crew came back the first of the week to pick up my wife was impressed they were very quick and efficient. Some tape they put on the ceiling peeled back the drywall paper a bit they are scheduling someone to come out and take care of that. I am assuming that that will go as well as everything else good if it doesn't I will report back. I would not hesitate to use these guys again or refer them to anyone. I am in the construction trades myself I really wanted to steal these two guys. read more

My upstairs toilet had a leak, causing my ceiling to collapse onto my living room on a Friday night. Saturday morning, I called 4-5 companies in the area all claiming to be booked for weeks or they were closed on the weekend. Finally, I called OMAC and probably sounded more than frustrated. Mary was very understanding. She set up same day service to get my situation looked at. John and Martine (the technicians) were so professional during our entire experience. John made himself available to us during the weekend if we had any questions (which we did). Having an infant daughter, and realizing the leak was from our dirty toilet water, John and Martine helped us understand what they were doing to clean and what our next steps needed to be. We were dealing with water damage after a burst pipe and Jose Reyes came out to do a damage assessment and quote. Jose did an initial walk through with his infrared camera and moisture reader and was really good about educating me about water damage restoration, as we assessed the various things that had been damaged. While my husband and I decided to go with the insurance company's preferred vendor for expediency, I really liked Jose. He communicated extremely well and had a very pleasant personality - exactly what you want in a project manager. read more

This post is a long time coming, our nightmare happened in January during the winter that would not end. Found OMAC while searching the internet for options for a second opinion, after our basement flooded when our sump pump failed during the winter storms. Our insurance company got another company out immediately to get the situation under control. But things quickly got worse when it became obvious they didn't know what to do. When facing the complete demolition of our finished basement along with molding carpets and a growing smell, I called OMAC. They were busy, just like everyone else, their phones were ringing off the hook. But after hearing my story they got someone out in just a few hours. They explained what had gone wrong, what they could do to try to fix things and got right to work pulling out the carpets, baseboards, and soaked padding. They set up DH units and blowers and took moisture readings. Each day decreasing humidity signaled we were winning the war and in just a few days the basement was saved. No demolition needed. We had a wonderful experience with OMAC. That is a big compliment considering the mold discovery experience is not a happy one under pretty much any circumstance. OMAC is a family run business and it shows. They are professional and courteous from initial contact on the phone with Hank and Jessica (a call by me that was answered late in the day) to the moment the team walks out the door of your home after the job is done. Mike, John A., Martin L., Brian, and both Joses all spent time at our home at different periods on different parts of the remediation project to ensure the job was completed exactly right and as fast as possible. These guys are all experts in this field and they are outstanding. They responded to our initial evening call by coming out the following day, notwithstanding how busy they are with big north bay projects. And, it is clear to my family that the each member of the OMAC family who walked in our condo to do some work treated our home like as though was their personal home, ensuring that we had an extremely safe and clean environment upon project completion - just as they would want for their families. Finally, it is important to note that the price is right. This company is not about making an extra buck at every turn. They are about doing the job right, every time, for a fair price, and no more.
