This restaurant was well worth the visit for my wife and I and we will absolutely be repeat patrons. The menu selection was unique from anything in Prescott and the food quality was amazing. It is obvious that the owner cares about quality through the visually appealing dishes and palette pleasing cuisine. Support your local Prescott foodie favorites and promote growth. The meal is worth the wait. Be advised, while you wait, if you would like wine/beer to accompany your meal, bring your favorites with you, as the owner has not obtained the license required to sell. $10 cork fee, which is a reasonable expense considering you can bring from your personal collection. Additionally, there is a fantastic liquor store just around the corner (walking distance) which I have reviewed and recommended previously on Yelp. We had dinner here last night and it was excellent. Call for current menu as the one online isn't up to date. New York steak perfectly cooked and tender. Shrimp flavorful and presented beautifully. And by the way Mama was my grandma and she was Italian. We will be back considering I only live 2 minutes from their front door. I heard they are going to start giving cooking classes right there in their kitchen which is perfect because they have a bar you can sit at while watching them cook. Since we moved here almost 2 years ago, we were told how wonderful the food was at Atmesfir and to expect a pricey affair. We were excited to finally experience Atmesfir on Dec 23, 2022. Melissa greeted us warmly. She had our table ready for us. Wine list amazing. Our dessert for the evening was good too. However, one main course was nearly inedible and the other was very average. We do not mind spending high dollars at a boutique style restaurant but they clearly did not meet the level of expectation for the price they charged. Atmesfir is what I imagine restaurants in heaven are like. Perhaps that's over-the-top, but my experience there yesterday evening was as near to perfection as you can get. I'm a gourmet chef and can be pretty hard on restaurants. On the other hand, I love little places where the people are passionate about the food they prepare and serve. We were greeted and served by the owner, Paul, who cares deeply about the food he servers and the ingredients he uses. As a foodie, I enjoy talking food with people like Paul - their passion shines through. He told me that wherever possible he sources his ingredients locally from small local farms who are as equally passionate about the raw ingredients they grow and sell. Usually in small restaurants like this the owner is the chef, but not at Atmesfir. Paul has hired a fantastic chef who received his training from a French master. The result is dishes that are prepared and presented with care and a creative flair. I'm told that the menu changes frequently so what my wife and I were served will probably be different from what you'll find on the menu when you visit. We started with Mussels in a spicy (but not too spicy) chorizo broth. Even my wife - who normally does not like mussels - loved them. The broth is made with shallots, white wine, Spanish chorizo, and butter. Fortunately, the dish is served with toasted crusty bread so that after finishing the mussels you can use the bread to soak up the broth. This is the way mussels are meant to be. On to the main course. My wife had the prime NY Strip, carrot puree, spinach, and warm potato salad. The steak was done to perfection and oh-so-tender. The carrot puree added just the right touch and was so good it could be served all by itself. I had the seared Hokkaido scallops, bacon-roasted radish, celeric puree, and (pink) grapefruit emulsion. I confess, I've never had Hokkaido scallops before. When I've prepared scallops in the past, I've always bought dry diver scallops from Whole Foods - pretty much the best quality scallops I could find until now. I've learned that Hokkaido scallops are the finest scallops Japan has to offer. The taste and texture are different from any other scallop I've eaten. Paired with the flavors of the shallots, bacon, radish, and celeric, this was a fantastic dish. I know this review is long, but bear with me while I tell you about the desserts. My wife and I picked two desserts and shared them. The first was a Crepe Suzanne - A crepe stuffed with a sauce of tangelo, butter, and sugar, and topped with a chocolate sauce. This simple dessert was so awesomely good. The second was a napoleon, which is alternating layers of puff pastry and pastry cream. I've made napoleons, and this one far surpassed anything I've made. This was probably the lightest napoleon I've ever had. My normal experience with a Napoleon is that the puff pastry shatters and practically explodes when you first stick your fork into it. Not this one. The lightness made it hold together. My wife and I were practically fighting over the crumbs. If you are in Prescott and want something different from the normal cowboy-ish fair served everywhere else then you must try Atmesfir. read more

Hands down: the best restaurant in Prescott. This is where you bring finicky family and friends from out-of-town or where you take your Honey for a special occasion. Or, where the local chefs dine. Or, in my case, every chance I get! There were 5 options for entrees on the ala carte menu- three seafood, one beef, & one vegetarian pasta dish. Our group of 4 chose the scallops & the Special: red snapper. Both were exquisite- cooked to perfection, enhanced with interesting & subtle flavors. The Crepes Susanne were fabulous- don't share this dessert- you'll want your own. The owner, Paul, told us all ingredients are fresh- he does not use large-scale food suppliers (like Shamrock). For example, he went out to Paulden that morning for the salad ingredients- truly farm-to-fork. The scallops & red snapper were flown in from Japan & delivered at 3 PM that day; Paul believes that's where one gets the highest quality snapper & scallops. Be aware that they don't serve alcohol- you can bring your own wine or beer (hard liquor not permitted); there will be a capping/corking fee. read more

I agree with other reviewers that this is the best restaurant in Prescott and I hope that it can attract the kind of attention it deserves because Prescott needs restaurants like Atmesfir. My husband and I have eaten at Atmesfir on multiple occasions and have never been disappointed. The menu changes regularly with the seasons and they use locally sourced and high quality ingredients. Tonight my husband had a delicious butternut squash ravioli topped with spaghetti squash. Not a combination I would have thought of but it was delicious. I was in for dinner on Sept 22. I don't understand what the 5 star rating is all about,. I have eaten in France and this is far from a 5 star rated restaurant. I ordered the scallops which I am sure were not fresh. The dish was just okay and way over priced. The salad was hardly worth the $7. Plus there was a $10. corking fee for the wine that we brought in. The waitress did not mention the corking fee or was it mentioned on the menu. When we inquired about the fee we were told it was new a month ago. I had friends that had brought wine in and I was told there was no corking fee....surprise, surprise. Having said all that I just dicovered they added an additional $7. to my bill.....that is fraud!!!! My bank is taking care of the upcharge so I am not out any additional money..... Better double check your credit card bill. This restaurant will not last! read more

This place is completely overpriced. A total of 5 tables. (about the size of our living room) We had an appetizer of 6 oysters that were tasteless. The menu was very limited having about 10 choices. From the tables you can see the grill and plating table. The cook and assistant were shabbily dressed and using their bare hands to handle the food. We left after having 1 drink each, with the oysters. Oh yeah, my wife's drink was a double vodka with soda costing $28. Definitely do not recommend. read more

If you want to go to the best restaurant in Prescott this is the place. My wife and I went there last night and had one of the best dinner we have ever eaten. We started out with the Goat Cheese Mousse and it was simply heavenly. The cheese was nice and creamy and the plate comes with beautiful fresh toasted bread to spread it on. The next thing we tried was the slow cooked egg with chive oil and a brioche crumble. One bite was like an explosion of flavors and different textures in your mouth. You had crunchy, soft and liquidity with flavors that would put a smile on your face. My wife thought she died and went to heaven. For our main course I got the Scottish Salmon and my wife got the 10 oz NY Strip Steak. The Scottish Salmon was cooked to perfection. The skin was nice and crispy and the inside was a perfect shade of pink. So many times you go to restaurants that either over cook or under cook salmon this one was cooked just right. You could tell immediately that my salmon was cooked with love and care. My wife's steak was a beautiful piece of prime beef. Cooked just right and properly seasoned. You can forget the steak sauce because this steak had so much flavor to do anything to it would be considered a crime. The mashed potatoes that accompanied my wife's steak were so smooth and creamy that you want to lick the plate clean. By the time we got done with our entrees we were so full we couldn't eat another bite, so we asked if we could get dessert to go. We decided to take home some beignets with a raspberry sauce. These beautiful deep-fried nuggets of sweetened dough would make a French Chef stand up and cheer. They were so light and airy that after just one bite you kept wanting more and more. Next time you are in downtown Prescott you need to make an effort to go to Atmesfir it is truly one of the best if not the best fine dining restaurant in town without the fine dining prices. read more

Best cuisine in Prescott right now. A few fine efforts come and go in Prescott, and when they close their doors, I cry. This market rewards comfort food, and does not tend to demand and support more ambitious culinary aims. I am hoping that Atmesfir enjoys strong support, and manages to grow into a larger place with more economies of scale. It is a real gem now. The menu is quite brief (note I do not describe it as limited, just brief). Given that there are only 5 tables, this is a reasonable proposition, and an unfair basis for a negative review (as somebody already did). There are several small plates, several entrees and desserts. The highlight this evening for us was the salmon entree. The chef sliced the skin in exacting parallel lines before searing the fish skin side down, rendering crisp, bite size pieces that could accompany each mouthful of the perfectly cooked salmon. Usually, the entire skin comes off in one piece and is an oversight. This was painstakingly executed to perfection for the guests. In the same side, shallow bowl was a warm blend of Fregola pasta beads, thinly sliced carrots, and fresh locally sourced artichoke. The chokes were beautifully cooked to 'al dente' and bursting with flavor. Portions are fair, not meant to impress as huge, another potential criticism that would be off base. Prices, like the portions, are very fair and reasonable for the quality delivered. Service is informative and pleasant. We will be making Atmesfir a regular destination. As of now, they have no liquor license, and accept BYO wine with no corkage fee, a customer friendly policy. read more

Atmesfir is a fantastic little place that reminds me of some of the more popular boutique restaurants in LA. No microwaves. Locally sourced ingredients. Attention to detail. We just got home from Atmesfir for a very special birthday dinner. As we live in Prescott, we have tried all the high-end restaurants. We hope for the best but are most often disappointed. Not all the time, but most. With Atmesfir we were blown away. We ordered seafood for everything, which can be sketchy here, and every single thing we ordered exceeded our highest expectation. Oysters for the app, I ordered the Golden Tile fish for my entree and birthday boy ordered the scallops. Bb is from Seattle so for him to order scallops and in that it passed his scrutiny is a testament. Everything was so fresh and bright. Lemon curd for dessert. Service was exceptional. Very attentive but not overwhelming. Seating was comfortable but just. Perhaps could be a tad more cozy. Nothing to complain about. Even the bathroom was extremely clean. Immaculate. If I had to say any criticism, it would have to do with the other patrons. We are in a small space (5 tables), speaking voices should be kept to a level that would not encroach upon others. And please, take off your ball cap (with sunglasses perched on the brim!) when sitting at the dinner table. It's just manners. Lastly, do not douse yourself with copious amounts of perfume or cologne when dining. The offense to the pallet to those around you is obnoxious. One should not smell another's perfume or cologne unless one is hugging that person. It should remain personal. read more

Normally I ignore yelp notifications, but because my husband and I recently went to France, I had to take a look at this place. And just from the pictures and reviews, I got a friend to babysit last minute and went on a date. BEST spur of the moment date! To the owner, going over your budget was worth it! Don't ever slow down on your dedication to the service and quality of your food because it will pay you back in the long run! Beignets needed to be fried just a tad longer but it was still amazing flavor! I will be back before I move at the end of the month. If you have never experienced dining in Europe, then you should have no place giving a bad review. Traditional French food is not overly flavored, subtle cream sauces are a total norm with pops of flavorful veggies/fruits, portions are not American sized which is nice, and the price is right for what you get! My husband and I shared the veggie platter with lemon/honey emulsion, braised lamb, the salmon, and the beignets. We took our own bottle of wine and we were both perfectly content/happy when we left. We found this place on Yelp (thanks for another great spot Yelpers!) while in Prescott for our niece's nursing school graduation. Sort of a last minute "reservation" (read: Terry told me to call back at 5:30 to see if there were any no-shows). Fortunately we were able to get in. We noticed the place was a BYOB so we slipped into Park Plaza Liquor & Deli to pick up a bottle of wine (a review on PPL&D to follow). Servers Abby & Terry were both helpful, friendly and efficient. The menu is geared to coining simple dishes really, really well. We started with the mussels in white wine sauce and the goat cheese mousse. Both were excellent but of the two, the goat cheese mouse was exquisite. Ever tried to cut just the right amount of goat cheese for your toast point but ended up with an unspreadable clump of cheese perched in the center of your bread. Atmesfir solves this with a presentation of the creamiest goat cheese you've ever had. The arugula purée perfectly accents the cheese. Of the entrees, we opted for the chicken ravioli and the pork belly with Korean rib sauce. Both of these dishes were really we prepared and presented. The pork belly was served with lightly steamed cabbage which made the dish sort of a new version of pork & kimchi. For dessert we had the chocolate mousse with fresh raspberries and the beignets served on a plate with a a raspberry preserve smear. Stopped by the other night after seeing on FB that they were open. Great food, nice, clean and cozy dining area. Ordered the pork belly, with the slow-cooked egg as an appetizer, and finished with the chocolate mousse, as suggested by the chef, Paul. All excellent. The porkbelly was fork-tender with that perfect crispy yet melt-in-your-mouth texture, and the cabbage that came with it....I could eat a whole pot of that cabbage. So good! I had never had a slow-cooked egg before, it was a delicious discovery. The mousse came garnished with fresh raspberries and a vanilla bean whipped cream. As they say on their menu, all the dishes are simple, only a few ingredients, but high-quality, and it shows. I will be going many more times to sample the menu, and see what else they add as time goes by. read more
