I've been to this chain before in other locations. I've always enjoyed it, but always felt that the dinner seafood boils weren't as impressive and I thought they would be for the price. Well, I decided to try it a couple times for lunch and they have some really great lunch specials. One of them is a bowl of seafood gumbo with a salad and it was actually really good at an amazing price. Today I got the fish and chips platter, not the best I've had but pretty good for the price.. The service is extremely friendly and it's located in an easily accessible spot. I'll definitely be getting more lunches there if they continue to offer these great deals. read more

pleasantly surprised. We went on a Wednesday because we like when it's less busy. Lots of seating and very open and feels like a big place. The menu is quite large. lots to choose from. some were very reasonably priced and others we will for sure need to come on a night we are going to splurge. The waitress Amber was amazing!!!!!! Very helpful, always made sure our water was full and helped us navigate the menu. We ordered quite a bit. The sampler platter we got came with fried pickles, calamari and "jumbo" wings. Everything was great, but the wings were definitely not jumbo..still very tasty though. We also ordered corn bread and jambalaya. It was perfectly spiced and had a good amount of protein. We should have shared the Jambalaya as it came with a small loaf of bread per person to dip as well. We will for sure come again and try one of the boils because they sounded amazing. read more

Beautiful, fresh, clean Open space! Its gotta be the nicest ambiance of any Angry Crab in AZ (we have visited several)!! Its the natural light from all the windows that just elevates the vibe. Friendly staff. Good service. Great menu. FIRST time we have ever had lunch at an Angry Crab so we skipped our "Usual" shrimp/crab bags. Hubs had Sea Bass bowl & I tried my very first Lobster Roll. Very nice. Good seasoning, good portion size, balanced flavors. What a fun way to have dinner with friends! We had never been here and we actually all enjoyed the food and the service. Jessica was amazing and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. We were a party of six and were seated immediately upon arrival. It seems we beat the dinner crowd, because the place did get busy as we were waiting for our food. My husband and I each ordered the Shack Trio and he threw in a 1/2 lb of Blue Mussels with his order. He ordered his food with the garlic butter sauce and he no likey spicy, so that's how he got it! I on the other hand, do like it hot so I got the Cajun sauce at the recommended "3" level, but did take it up a notch after my food was served and it wasn't all that spicy. This is a seafood boil place, so we knew it would be sloppy, but plastic gloves (who even does that?) and bibs were provided for all! The other two couples each ordered the seafood boiler for two and everyone was very pleased with their meals. Plates are served with corn on the cob and red potatoes. The corn was my favorite! Everything we ordered was served with the shell and i must say, the lobster tail took some energy to get it off its shell! Shrimp was a good size and 1/2 lb was plenty. Unfortunately my husband's and my snow crab clusters had very little meat (some legs were actually hollow!), but Jessica was quick to get us another serving and those were much better. Two of us ordered a side of noodles and neither of us ate them. They were just plain, unsalted noodles that were served in a clump in a bowl. We won't be having those again! Everything else was fantastic, and the fried CORNBREAD with ice cream for dessert is a must!!! It was aMAIZing (You see what I did there?)! I would personally go back for the dessert alone! Do keep in mind that this is a seafood place and is on the pricier side, but it's a great place to go and eat with fun people. We had a blast and will definitely do it again. Next time we will build our own meals and skip on the sides. We will also enjoy a cocktail next time, because they do have a full bar. Had lunch here for the first time and we were pleasantly surprised. The clam chowder was full of clams and tasted great. It was a huge bowl with a side of garlic bread and only $6. We had the lunch special fish and chips for $12. Again, two huge pieces of fish and lots of fries. Unlike lots of places, the batter was nice and thin and didn't overwhelm the fish. The food was ok. The ambiance is a bright diner that has a drop ceiling. They ring a bell and sound an alarm that might scare anyone unprepared- me. As someone who has a sensory sensitivity it was terrible. The worst part of our meal was the service. There were 6 tables there on a Saturday night. It was dead. Our server went to refill a soda just left it at the station. Our server also flaked filling our water. This sever took forever to come to the table and would only come by if we waved them down. I asked a different server, acting as the manager, for the soda and water and he dismissed me by telling me to "go sit down." The angry crab shack lived up to its name. It was tasty and with 4 1/2 shots well worth the price. My husband and I split the boil for two mixed bag special. You can add additional items to this but we ordered it as is and loved it. You pick a sauce and spice. We had the garlic sauce with mild spice. We routinely eat spicy foods and mild was just the right amount of heat for us. This is a peel and eat crab and shrimp boil kind of place. My wife had the fried shrimp and fries basket. The shrimp were very large and were covered with just the right amount of coating. My wife's friend and I ordered the one-pound headless peel and eat shrimp with sausage. You had to choose your heat level which were 0 thru 6. My wife's friend, who can eat reasonably spicy food, chose heat level 3 "Sizzling." I chose heat level 4, Hot "Can't fell my lips." I originally wanted the order the 5 Angry Ghost "Inferno," a ghost pepper-based sauce. My wife balked at the idea, so I stayed with the 4. It was too mild for me. However, the 3 was at her friend's limit of heat. She made several comments about how hot the spice was, but she was still able to eat all of her shrimp. I was craving seafood and noticed there is an Angry Crab next to our hotel in Prescott. Not impressed by this new location. The seafood food came out very slow, in separate portions, hot, but got cold extremely fast and became rubbery. The quality of the seafood was not what we have experienced at other Angry Crab locations in the Valley. Service was very very slow. Extremely backed up on orders in the kitchen and the staff showed obvious signs of frustration. We will not return, but I do hope they hire additional staff to help with the demand of a new restaurant. read more

We have been awaiting Angry Crab to open its doors, finally its here in Prescott! It's refreshing to have a taste of Cajun food, and Angry Crab does not disappoint! I had fish n chips exactly the way they should be, crispy and soft on the inside, with a side of potato salad ( not so great). I love their lemonade, tangy but just the right amount of sweetness. My husband enjoyed the snow crab and 1/2 head shrimp with medium spicy tender boil which he claims was outstanding! Asked for ranch and butter multiple times and got nothing, finally our server told us that we had a new server , and that the old server was going home, I guess the first server was just waiting for the other to show up and didn't want to help us since they were on there way out. Got the food 20 mins after an order of fries was brought to the table , and it had no flavor mild Cajun has been plenty enough in the past 4 times I've been there . I asked for something with flavor and got it thank you new server, also finally got the butter and ranch and had no problem with refills. I was there with family and we got to hear a kitchen employee yell multiple times he is walking the fuck out over and over and sure enough he did. Went in on a Thursday evening and it was slow. Three tables including ours. Adam was our server and got our drinks and food order quickly. Then my food came but my wife's did not. No explanation, just dropped my food on the table and left. I was eating slowly waiting for her food to be served and was about halfway done when she got her Caesar salad. The servers were all at the bar talking and socializing amongst themselves. Never once did we get checked on to tell us how the dinner was progressing, how things tasted, or if we wanted another drink. My wife finally got her dinner and it was warm and not hot. We were not impressed this time, and it most likely will be our last visit. it is well past the time for management to step in and correct these problems. Only a spoon was delivered with crab, fries and potato salad. What? Did not serve our entrees at the same time. The waiter came over, signed his name Petunia and asked if we wanted a drink, that we received. Good oysters, thus the 1 Star. Offered no silverware and basically hung out with friends in the front of the kitchen. Food arrived with less than 1/2 bowl of Chowder and a very small salad for their lunch special. I again, had to ask for a fork and spoon for my husband. Then the one time and only time Crab Boil for Dungennes Crab and some Green Mussels with Sausage. ALL over done with barely enough meat to make a meal. Paid over $65 for this bag of nothing burgers. I was nice enough to not say anything about the food directly to our server, but once I overhead him talk about us to another and our apparent lack luster attitude ...I was done! The manager commented with a laugh and seemed as though no one cared! Our server even called out the cook to get off his phone and get our order finished. So badly run, with bad expensive food. Restaurants like this should be careful as they never know with whom they are serving and feeding. How do you mess up bread?!? Asked for a side of toasted bread, the brought it but forgot to toast it. The food was so terrible. We had asked for not too spicy and recommended a very spicy option, all the seafood was cold, the fried oysters in the po'boy were raw/cold on the inside and they took 35 minutes to bring out a kids meal cheeseburger was burnt to a literal crisp, had to scrape the char off the bottom of the patty. Also asked for no pickles or tomatoes (kids a picky eater) came with every topping and fter everyone else's meal. Not to mention we were out for a birthday dinner. Then we had asked for our check from three different waiters and waitresses because ours was no where to be found. 30 minutes later still no check. Furthermore, there was random snot nosed kids with their parents no where to be seen, bugging us and needing attention. I have no problem with kids but it's not my job to parent your crotch goblin. We ate at the Angry Crab Shack in Prescott yesterday and EVERYTHING about this restaurant was EXCELLENT. They have a HUGE Menu and we had Gumbo, Red and rice, Clam strips, Calamari and fried pickles. All were excellent and the server we had (Sandra) should give all other servers in Prescott training as she was great! The servings were large and we ended up taking a good portion home. Friendly service and surprisingly good seafood boil. My husband has been wanting to go here since it opened, and we chose to use our anniversary as an excuse to do so. We ordered the jumbo wings with the trifecta dry rub and the shack trio with the trifecta sauce spicy. Everything was delicious, and the quality was excellent.
