This hidden gem is located on Gurley Street and located on the top floor of the spice traveler specialty shop. I had been into the spice store many times and been the superstition Meadery downstairs, but had never gone upstairs for dinner. They are open Wednesday through Sunday with varying hours. The vibe is very modern and chic. Some tables look out over the courthouse plaza. They have a very cool U-shaped bar in the center of the restaurant. The service was great, and the food was fantastic! Our friends had the Maine lobster and I had a cold water lobster tail. Also, the lobster bisque was to die for!!! They're running a lobster fest into early September. Both of our lobsters were fantastic. My husband enjoyed the voodoo pasta, and my girlfriend had a filet mignon, which was very tasty per her review. We had reservations and arrived 20 minutes early. The hostess asked us to wait until our reservation time, despite multiple empty tables. During that time, several walk-in parties without reservations were seated ahead of us. When we were finally seated, we asked to move to an empty booth instead of a four-top in the middle of the dining room. We were told the booth had to be saved for larger parties. Thirty minutes later, three people were seated there. On the positive side, it was Lobster Fest, and our waiter was outstanding. He was friendly, attentive, and apologized twice for the unusually slow kitchen. Unfortunately, after waiting about 90 minutes for our food (plus the 20 minutes in the lobby), my lobster tail was slightly overcooked, although the claw meat was excellent. My son's 16-ounce ribeye, ordered medium rare, arrived medium well with excessive fat around the edges. This would have been a two-star experience were it not for our exceptional waiter. For a lobster and ribeye dinner at these prices, it simply wasn't worth the money, and we won't be back. read more

This was a pre-85th birthday dinner we decided to celebrate here at the Copper Note. This is a fairly new establishment in PRESCOTT and you can't beat their location right on the square! It's a fairly elegant restaurant and prices in food reflect this. Really lovely dining area with wonderful big views of the square out the large windows. All three of us enjoyed our entrées and drinks very much! Our server was very professional and helpful in making selections from their menu. I was in town visiting my aunt and uncle and wanted to take them somewhere nice for dinner. I came across The Copper Note on Yelp and it looked promising, so we decided to give it a try. The restaurant is located on the second floor, and since I had a group of seniors with me, we appreciated having elevator access. As soon as you step out, you're welcomed by beautiful leather couches, warm wooden floors, and soft lighting that gives the space a relaxed but upscale feel. It's a big open layout with a bar in the center and a friendly host who greeted and seated us right away. The seating options were great -- a mix of standard tables, booths, and tall tables by the window where you can enjoy views of downtown and the courthouse. The vibe throughout the restaurant was warm and inviting. I didn't catch our server's name, but she was incredibly sweet, attentive, and thoughtful. The rest of the staff who passed by our table were friendly as well. Service-wise, everything felt smooth and welcoming. To start, we ordered the Arizona shrimp and the clam chowder. The chowder itself was really good -- creamy, comforting, and the potatoes were cooked perfectly. It was topped with one shrimp, corn relish, and a small cilantro garnish. Personally, I felt the chowder was strong enough on its own and didn't necessarily need the extra toppings. Sometimes keeping it simple really lets a dish shine. For my entrée, I ordered the center-cut ribeye cooked medium rare. When I cut into it, it was a perfect medium rare -- juicy and cooked beautifully. The garlic butter was a nice touch. I did feel like it could have used a bit more seasoning, as I found myself adding extra salt and pepper to bring out the flavor. The vegetables weren't my favorite, and the golden mashed potatoes were decent but leaned slightly dry rather than creamy. Not bad -- just not particularly memorable. My aunt ordered the Cioppino. The seafood itself was cooked properly, but the dish was served just warm instead of hot. We asked our server to have it reheated, and she handled it promptly. The broth was a little mild for my taste, but my aunt, who has hypertension, actually appreciated that it wasn't overly salty. For dessert, we shared the crème brûlée, which ended the night on a high note. It had a nice caramelized top and a slight crunch at the bottom -- possibly an Oreo crumble -- which added a fun twist. Overall, the ambiance and service at The Copper Note were truly impeccable and made for a lovely evening with family. While some of the dishes didn't quite match the level I expected for the price point, the experience itself was enjoyable, and the team clearly cares about hospitality. Well, I really wanted to love this place. I thought the atmosphere was very nice, especially if you are able to get a table at the window...which we did not. We came in late on a Wednesday night. It wasn't busy, and the service was great. I ordered the Cioppino, and the BF ordered the pork porterhouse center cut. I didn't care for the Cioppino at all. I felt like the broth base was too fishy, and the seafood in it was overcooked. The BF enjoyed his pork, but thought it was a tad undercooked. We both agreed that we wouldn't come back. The atmosphere and service are nice and the view of the courthouse square is a bonus. I like the booths and the table lamps which add a touch of class. We went for a late lunch and I had the salmon tacos - kind of an odd choice for tacos. They were cooked well but needed double tortillas in order to keep their shape. They came with avocado and a small healthy salad and pickled jalapeño plus an odd mayonnaise based sauce which just didn't go with tacos. Overall a good dish but a bit overpriced for what it was. A side of whole black beans would be a nice compliment. The flourless chocolate torte was excellent, not too sweet or rich. I think it was made with almond meal. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here and greatly enjoyed our dinner! Everything was perfect from start to finish, by the time we left we were so happy with our experience we thought why would anyone go anywhere else?? This is absolutely the spot to be. We started with the jumbo shrimp cocktail (a MUST), ahi tuna poke (another must, it is delicious and so fresh), and the rockin riblets (the best ribs I have ever had). For our entrees my husband had the ribeye which was cooked to perfection and I had the salmon which was also delicious! Our server Jacob was incredibly attentive and professional and made our evening feel very special. His service was top notch! We had such a great experience! Our server, Sandra, was incredibly sweet and so knowledgeable. We're from the Valley, and she gave us tons of amazing recommendations for local spots to check out. I have celiac and my boyfriend has a nut allergy, and she knew exactly what we could order and made sure everything was safe for us. The way this new Prescott restaurant handles reservations is problematic. I made a reservation online for a birthday celebration but it was clear when we arrived that no special arrangements had been made. I indicated this was for a special celebration but there was no acknowledgment of this event whatsoever when we arrived. Worse yet, they had clearly not reserved a table for us. The hostess said, "we have you set up right over here," and led us to a not great booth in the very corner which was clearly set for four people. Set up for us? Really? Also, it was clear that walk-ins were being given the ideal two-seaters while my friends birthday warranted zero acknowledgment and a bad four top in the corner. At these prices, this restaurant needs to do a MUCH better job on reservations and acknowledging special occasions. Not ONCE did our server wish my guest a Happy Birthday, even after I told her it was my friend's special day. They need to READ the notes in the reservation and respond accordingly. As for the food, they have clearly run OUT of salt. Filet mignon sans salt. Vegetables sans salt. Why bother? Our meal was $200 for two people and we will not return. Server was hurried, abrupt, and reeked of Casual Dining. The Cooper Note needs to do better. That view is not going to keep you in business through the winter when the tourists are gone. read more

Had dinner last night at the Copper Note in Prescott. I live locally and enjoy going to Copper Note when company comes in. Once again, Copper Note, did not disappoint. Our server was Sandra. She was excellent. Very attentive, knew the menu well, and a pleasure to meet! We started with the Arizona clam and shrimp chowder. It is the best! I order a cup every time I am there. Packed full of deliciousness with the perfect amount of heat. Knowing that the entree portions are very good sized, I ordered the seared Ahi Tuna salad. It was perfect! A very large salad with lots of tuna, avocado, cucumber and the dressing was perfect! My son and his wife had the ribs and seared Ahi Tuna entree. Both entrees were very good. Hands down the #1 restaurant in Prescott. I've been to Copper Note at least 20 times, and it never disappoints. I'm so grateful that Prescott now has a true higher-end dining experience like this. The service is consistently excellent, the ambiance is warm and refined, and the quality of the food is outstanding. Fresh fish, perfectly prepared beef everything is thoughtful and elevated. My go-to favorites are the Voo Doo Pasta (absolutely incredible) and the Maple Old Fashioned, which is easily one of the best cocktails in town. Copper Note has raised the bar for dining in Prescott. She took exceptional care of me and was incredibly attentive to my milk sensitivity, making sure I felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout the meal. That level of care really stood out. We were greeted right away, when we arrived at the top of the stairs. The space is open, and beautiful. We were shown to our table quickly and our server (Angelica, I believe was her name) was professional and sincere. EVERYTHING was exceptional!
