Swiss cheese omelet, breakfast potatoes, grilled hard roll.
Cindy K.

I went in with reasonable expectations, this is perfectly acceptable, edible, I'd eat here again food. There's lots of parking. I was actually surprised how large it is inside. I met a friend I haven't seen in probably nearly 17 years for lunch on a Friday. We never felt rushed or pressured to hurry up. I didn't notice much of a wait but it was nearly always full. A good indication of quality. When you first walk in there's a dessert case and they all looked tasty. I knew I was in a good place. They serve breakfast all the time. Score. I had a Swiss cheese omelet I requested it well done because I don't like it runny or slimy-it still was and that's really why I didn't give a 5. I didn't want to be a pain and send it back so I dealt with it. I ate the whole thing, I just wish it hasnt been undercooked. I got the breakfast potatoes. They are exactly perfect the way I like them, some bits nice and crispy and other bits soft but cooked through. (I'm going to come here again because of the potatoes). I had a grilled hard roll and coffee. They offer flavored creamers which I like. My friend got ham and two eggs but added a third with toast. She liked her food as well. I got two slices of rainbow cake to go. Let me tell you-it was fantastic. My mom and I both liked it a lot except this is going to be oddly specific, the blue and green layers, the frosting on the back of them has something EXTREMELY crunchy in the frosting. It felt like those little hard decoration balls and they were very unpleasant. My mother also commented about something crunchy in the frosting so she didn't care for it either. Another reason I didn't go full 5 on my review. The frosting on the other layers up was fine. It was really tasty. The cake was moist and not dried out. I noticed it was pretty popular. The service was good. It was really busy and we tried to flag our server down a few times and she didn't see me and that's okay we were there for two hours and she had a large section and like I said we weren't exactly campers but we were catching up and we weren't her priority and this is perfectly acceptable. Both my friend and I having been in the food industry for over 20 years completely understood. Our needs were never not met. We had what we needed and didn't have to wait long on refills on drinks ever. We will meet again there since we both had a very positive first time experience.,

I have come to Atlantic many times over the years to grab breakfast with family. This is one of our go to spots when it comes to a nice brunch, though I haven't had too much of their dinner options. My favorite dishes are amongst their fresh egg and omelette options, however I recently tried their cheeseburger club with a side of fries and loved it! The staff is usually very helpful, though sometimes the food can take a little longer since they tend to be busy. I would definitely check this place out if you are big on breakfast and diners!

Turkey club. Highly recommend.

We moved down south years ago and have noticed that they don't have diners/family restaurants like they do up here... so while visiting the ROC, we wanted to find a good diner/family restaurant. There were ample choices but a friend highly recommended the Atlantic. The parking lot was PACKED when we rolled in around 1pm on a Wednesday. We initially thought we were going to have a huge wait. Luckily, we were seated right away. Plenty of seating and despite the crowded parking lot, we didn't feel like it was packed inside. And by the way, apparently this is the happening joint for folks over 80. We were the youngest in the place by a long shot. The menu was vast and we decided on 2 Turkey clubs and our kiddos picked: Mickey Mouse pancakes, chicken fingers/fries and hotdog/fries. Food came out fairly quick and was accurate. We haven't had club sandwiches in AGES and they hit the spot! And what is it about diner fries which makes them so much better than other fries? And what is it about those typical old diner plates with the brown rim around the edge that makes food so much better? If your order gets served on a brown rimmed plate, you know it's going to be good. The only reason for 4/5 stars was that I just didn't feel like our waitress was overly friendly. I tried making small talk at the initial meeting and she didn't really respond. She checked on us enough but just didn't have that "I work for tips" happy attitude. Bill was around $42 plus tip for 2 adults and 3 kids. Ah well. All in all, we had a good meal.

We love The Atlantic! When visiting the high school across the road for a meet, we usually make a stop here afterwards. The menu has a ton of variety. In winter, I appreciate its warm atmosphere. Service is always prompt and the prices are reasonable. Love this gem!

Food was okay. Nothing special just standard diner/family restaurant fare. Had a turkey reuben which was serviceable. The thousand island came on the side which was weird. Had a side of fries, which seemed small for the $2.25 up charge. Soft drinks only have a single refill, and my coworker had his drink and it had something floating in it. Televisions had Fox News playing just to keep in mind the clientele.

Over $30.00 for two people to have a burger and fries.

Ok, so my cousin comes in while we are waiting to order. She is only getting the Chocolate cake. "…read moreHave you tried the Chocolate cake?" We never eat dessert but we tried it. OMG! It was amazing. We had a fork war over the single piece. ( He won) . As usual it food was good. The special was 3 pieces of batters cod and Cole slaw with fires. Perfect. The only thing wrong was a very loud customer at the bar , but eh... we will sit farther away next time.

I have ordered two different omelettes on two different occasions now: an egg white with spinach and mushroom and a meat lovers. Both were quite overcooked and the meat lovers seemed like a thin sheet of egg that they filled with toppings later on like a crepe. Additionally the meat lovers side of rye toast was obviously burnt but still served to me, I just ate around it for a few bites and gave up. My husband ordered fish and chips the first time - I thought the batter was tasty and enjoyed it though I think the filleting of the actual fish could have been a lot cleaner. This item is the only reason my review is not a one star, I thought it tasted good. The second time he ordered clam chowder and a salad that had chicken, fruit, nuts. The salad was fine nothing wrong but not a stand out either it seemed similar to something I'd get as a salad kit from the store. The clam chowder though was awful, so thick and gelatinous it seemed like it was canned which is already a red flag but one of those canned soups that you're supposed to add water to and like they forgot to do that part. On top of being weirdly thick it was also cold you can tell they didn't heat it thoroughly whether that was in a microwave or not though I can't really tell. I truly don't understand the hype or reviews for this restaurant given we've tried multiple items and for the most part fell flat with the sole exception of the fried fish. I was disappointed given the expectation from other reviews and unfortunately we won't be back for a third try.

It is beyond obvious the amount of time he has spent (and spends) cooking to make his already delicious food even more so using only traditional ingredients from Belgium. I also greatly appreciate all of the attention to detail; especially the quality of the fruit even when it's not in season. Thank you. Furthermore, I love that it's a house. It's quaint and brilliant to start small when starting a new venture. All of the staff was kind and gracious. Thank you again. On a separate note...I am utterly disgusted by the amount of negativity and ugliness in some of these reviews. Yes, we are are all entitled to our opinions. However, when you walk through someone else's front door you are entering the heart and soul of them. It is just sad that some have nothing else to do with their time than to just be negative. I, for one cannot fathom how brave and challenging it is to own a restaurant. I wish that some of the gloomy pessimistic unfavorable weak internet bullies would give it a try. Until then stay in your lane! Cheers for these waffles, kindness & grace.

Before we went there we went to dinner and stopped into Mama Lors Nice little restaurant. Kind of a random location too, but for some reason I liked where it was. Liked the outside of it. Reminded me of like restaurants in old ass buildings down in Staten Island. Spent a lot of time down in the city as a kid (family there) and lots of time on Staten Island. We'd always go to Italian restaurants there (even tho we are all Irish lol). This place kind of reminded me of those restaurants. I know, random thoughts to share, but that's immediately what I thought when I pulled up. It's NOT an Italian restaurant tho. It's American food. Burgers, salads, chicken dinners etc. Food was actually really good. Not too crazy overpriced like majority of restaurants these days...like ones that charge $15 for a plain waffle or something and the waffle is next level basic af. At least I'm not bitter lol But yeah, food was very good. The garlic bread...delicious. I have yet to find garlic bread tho that I don't like. Waitress was suuuuuper nice. Every employee we encountered was very nice. Place is big. Plenty of seating and you're not right on top of each other either. There is outdoor seating as well...pretty sure it was closed when we were there? Could be wrong. However, knowing what the weather right now is like back there...yeah, safe to say outdoor seating closed for the season lol. Restaurant is very clean. Nice floors lol. Random again, but I noticed that the second I walked in. I had neverrrr heard of this place until my friend suggested it. She lives in Chile so she's more familiar with the Rochester area. And Williamson, honestly, I forgot that city/town even existed lol. I didn't do any exploring there tho. The restaurant which is actually in Webster and then we headed to the hayride in Williamson...like 10 mins away. Nice place. I'd 100% go again. I'd also for sure recommend it to anyone..especially if they're looking for a nice restaurant that's not insanely expensive and has a really nice atmosphere AND is in a historic building. Ok so maybe in NY, it's not classified as a "historic building" bc most places in NY are historic. I live in Boise, Idaho tho. We have historic buildings here, but NOTHING like NY has. So when I go to an old building like this....IIIIIII classify it as a historic building haha. Thanks for reading, MamaYelperLor's!!!! Check it out! Support a local business! You'll enjoy it. If you don't...you know where to find me....right here on Yelp haha. Cheers!
