I had issues getting the Buy 1, Get 1, 50% Off Sale applied to my purchase and then had to wait additional time to get my husband's Military Discount. Regardless, it was a good deal, so I came back to get 2 more Shorts the following day. When it was time to pay, there was no issue applying the sale, but we noticed the amounts didn't match when they should've been the same . Nick was able to see that in the previous purchase only a 5% and not a 10% Military Discount had been applied, so he made the necessary adjustments. I didn't even have to ask, he just made it right. What a difference from the Customer Service I recieved on Sunday. I hope somebody in management reads this review and rewards Nick for the awesome job!

He then discovered that a 5 gallon gas container was to have come from a different store--at a later date. I had driven over 100 miles to get to the Reno store and didn't plan to return. If you can't find it in store, they can probably order it for you. On top of being a sporting goods store, Scheels has a Ferris wheel, a digital shooting range, a candy shop, an arcade, two aquariums, a bike/ski/skate service shop, a snack bar, a taxidermy mountain, a bowling alley, and loads of other things to keep a family entertained for hours. The surrounding Legends Mall also supplies loads to do and can easily keep you busy for a whole day or more. While I find the prices at Scheels to be a tad higher than online retailers, most things are reasonably priced and competitive compared to other brick-and-mortar sports stores. All of the employees are super friendly and kind. I often think of Scheels as the Chick-fil-A of retail.

There's also clearly marked red tag clearance items in each department. On my recent visit on a Saturday morning, I found good name brands in clothing and shoes, such as Columbia, Eddie Bauer, Levi's, LL Bean, and Crocs. All at discounted-from-retail prices! The store was recently remodeled and everything was neat and tidy. The cashier was pleasant and the line moved at a reasonable pace. There weren't a lot of workers roaming the floors to ask questions, but then again, this isn't a typical department store, so don't expect Nordstrom service! Highly recommend checking Sierra out to see what bargains you can find!

My only complaint is the prices, which are going to be more than just about anywhere else in town but I suppose that is how you keep the shop well staffed with knowledgeable people, but still puts it in the "if I can't find it anywhere else, I bet I can find it here" category. And the parking can be a headache when it is busy.

Desperate for options I went to huntnhouse and the staff pulled strings from a bow they had in stock because waiting for strings to be delivered wasn't an option.
