Athena's nail and spa is the best. I drive 22 miles every 2 weeks just to get my nails done here. There are plenty of nail salons closer to my work and home but everyone at Athena's does a great job especially my girl Laura. The spa is pretty, very clean and they have a huge selection of gel and regular polish colors. They can do any design and ombré. The cost is the same as other salons but the service and product is 100 times better. I highly recommend Athena's...like I said they are all good but I really like Laura!!! read more

Athena salon was very recently bought by a lovely family, they're very professional and do great nails. Prior I lived in Chicago where I paid $50 for a pedicure and $38 for a manicure, at a high end salon. Needless to say I'm very particular. I've been going to Nikki for a few years now, and she does a beautiful job. Her parents, Mindy and Henry also do beautiful work, and the prices are more than reasonable. I have been here so many times and each time it's just okay.. But I will never go back after my last visit. I'm pretty sure it was but I Am not completely sure but she completly butchered my nails. She cut me I can't even count how many times! I tried to not be rude and say anything I just couldn't keep it in so I would pull my hand a way a little and ouch. She would say sorry and I feel like that is all she said the e she honestly cute me and hurt me so many times! She was in a rush and got my acrylics done in thirty mins which was good for me but also not good for me because I was just stuck there feeling pain the whole time! I sat there after she was done for a good twenty minutes and I paid and begrudgingly gave her a one dollar tip, which I regretted doing the whole way home. My nails are so bad, I had paint on my fingers and my cuticles were destroyed. The paint is already coming off and I am so dissappitned. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. DON'T GO HERE!!. They literally humiliated me & asked me to leave before my nails were dry!! I was searching for a new nail salon & decided to pop into this one in the morning on a weekday. I walked in and asked for a nail polish change, not the full service because my feet & toes are sensitive & I don't like my cuticles & skin clipped off!! So just a simple polish change works for me. They seated me in the first chair, didn't offer to turn the massage chair on, and a man did my toes. Fine. So while I wait until they dry I decided to turn the massge chair on. Right when I did that he came over & checked to see if my toes were dry. Then he asked me if I wanted the massage chair off? I said....No. So I sat for a few minutes & tried to enjoy the chair. The guy goes over & talks to the owner & points at me. So she comes over, rubs my newly painted polish & said, "They're dry. You pay now!". I said ok, but still sat there. She shoves my shoes on so I thought, well, I better leave. I handed my credit card to the man & he says, "Don't you have any cash?" I said no. So he discusses this with the owner & she asks me the same question. I opened my wallet & showed them that I only had a few bucks on me. They laughed & laughed at me. I pointed to their list of credit cards that they accept & said, "you do take credit cards, right?" They said yes. So, humiliated & treated horribly, I walked out NEVER to return again. P.S. They only had one customer in the salon when they kicked me out. They figured since I wasn't getting a full-service I didn't deserve to use their precious massage chair. Whatever. read more

All my nails were cut crooked! Not too bad, I can fix them! Meanwhile, my wife is getting her pedicure by a girl who has no clue how to do French! My wife asked her 12 times to make lines all the same... She just could not get it right! Over an hour just on toes so far, and still waiting for manicure to start. Meanwhile I'm done with manicure and pedicure. Eventually my technician jumps in to help with manicure. As she's in a rush, she starts chopping my wife's nails up. Does a quick file, quick cuticle job, and says she's done! My wife does not like confrontation, yet she blew up! Asked for the manager, and the owner came over claiming that this is all they could do! Then proceeds to charge full price for everything! My wife refuses to pay for manicure, and the owner tells her that since she received the service, she needs to pay. And further said, that since she was not happy with the service has nothing to do with them! Eventually took the manicure off. Then, as I'm sitting there waiting for her, a customer calls in for an appt. The technician that answered was annoyed by the fact that the customer would not understand that 6 pm was the latest appt! As soon as they hung up, she tells the whole salon how certain customers just don't get it! Point is, don't call there and don't go there! read more

NEVER GO HERE! I got my nails done on friday and two broke by sunday, I called them to let them know what happened and they told me they would fix them. When I went back in one of the employees took me back and began putting on the new tips and then got up and left for literally TEN MINUTES just walking back and forth. Then another employee came over and SNATCHED my hand and began putting on the powder and LEFT AGAIN. A few minutes went by and ANOTHER employee came and began sanding them but they weren't dry so she ended up ruining them and had to fix them again. She got up with an attitude and as another 10-15 minutes went by she came back and put on REGULAR clear polish instead of GEL clear polish.. if you look at my other nails you can clearly tell that I paid for GEL the first time around. Not wanting do even deal with them and their attitudes, I just left with the two nails they were supposed to fix looking HORRIFIC!!! I used to be a loyal customer here, but I can say I WILL NEVER BE BACK HERE! They are extremely unprofessional and the other salons I have gone to in the area are way better and less expensive! IF THEY WOULD HAVE DONE MY NAILS CORRECTLY IN THE FIRST PLACE THIS WOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED! read more

I decided to give this place a try since they seem to know how to do designs and such based on the photos I've seen posted on here and others seem to be very happy with their service. I called and was told they'd be able to take me for a gel mani and pedi later that morning so I headed over. A man greeted me at the door, but it wasn't really a greeting, more like a brief hello. I guess he was trying to figure out who could work on my nails, but he didn't say that, he just walked away and started talking to the others. I'm then told to sit in one of the pedicure chairs so they can work on my hands and feet at the same time. The woman who worked on my feet seemed eager to be friendly and asked me about what I'd like for my toes, etc., which I really appreciate, but she seemed to have some trouble getting the gel off and trimming the cuticles. I'm always nervous about the cuticle part and she did end up cutting me on one of my toes, which makes me uncomfortable (obviously) but I know she really was trying to do a good job. She was great at the exfoliating and paraffin part so I did really appreciate that part of the pedicure. The manicure wasn't up to par, though. The woman who did it used the same tool for cutting my cuticles as she did to remove the gel from my nails. I have a hard time believing that isn't too harsh on your nails. She was a little aggressive and rough when working with my cuticles and since I work with my hands, it's important I don't have cuts or sores on my fingers as it makes it painful to work the next day. She tried to be accommodating with my color and design choice, and I do appreciate that. But in the end, I just don't understand the roughness and she seemed eager to hurry through it even though she sat down and worked on her own nails after she finished mine. If the service was inexpensive or meant to be low-cost and quick, this would be the place, but the bill was almost $100...for that price, I expect a very calming and relaxing experience. This wasn't a great experience for me, but sadly I have had worse. The lady that did my nails was not friendly or welcoming in the least, and in fact she seemed angry at me...or maybe the world. She was not consistent in that she would put cuticle softener on one hand/foot not on the other, same with the oil. Lots of other little things too, like making my nails different shapes, forgetting to clean nails before polishing, slopping lotion on my legs and calling it a massage, I could go on but you get the point. She acted like she didn't want to be there, and it became quite uncomfortable for me. I think my experience would have been different had I gone to Nikki or Phoenix, they both seemed friendly and happy. Overall they had a decent selection of gel colors, but too disorganized if you ask me. I got a basic gel mani and a basic pedi for $50, which was a little high for the end result. I might try again in the future, but I will definitely make an appointment with Nikki or Phoenix. read more

Everyone is great! I've had just about every person who works in the salon for gel manicures, acrylics or pedicures. They do get busy so best to call and make an appointment but they will try to fit you in if they can. They crack me up, do an awesome job and are reasonably priced. The past owners of this shop sold Athena to new owners and Ohhhh NO not good at all. I was the only one in the shop getting service and the young woman they had there doing my pedicure was horrible. I think she had just come out the back from watching the training video on how to do pedicure, well needless to say while she was practicing on my feet the owner sat up front on her laptop not even paying attention to what was going on in the back. I dont even think this young lady had her license, I should have inquired. Customer lost. I wish I knew where the past owner went. Just went here for my first time today. Nina was amazing! I moved to Temecula 8 months ago and still haven't found a nail salon I really want to go back to time and time again... I think I found it! Nina was so helpful and understood exactly what I wanted! I told her I was doing a trial run to see what I wanted to do for my wedding and she had plenty of ideas for me. This is the absolute BEST nail salon I have ever been to. I go every two weeks for a fill for my acrylics and Jackie is AMAZING! She keeps my nails the way I like them- ultra thin! I loved this place! My cousin and I went to get our nails done and they did not disappoint! Very clean salon. We walked right in and were immediately greeted, they let us pick out our colors, and then they got right to working on us. The prices are very reasonable. There are several different manicure/pedicure levels to choose from depending on how much pampering you're looking for. Another great thing about them is that they are really gentle - neither of us got cut. The massage chairs are wonderful and the foot/leg massage I got during my pedicure was amazing and really hit the spot! My only complaint was that they said they offered a 5% discount if you paid with cash, but I didn't end up getting that discount. Maybe next time I will just inquire, but it wasn't that big of a deal since it's only 5%. I highly recommend this place for both great pedicures and fast and high quality acrylic manicures! read more
