Michelin recognized restaurant, Atelier Manna, is serving a seasonal, Californian menu inspired by blue zone regions - a toast to health! AMBIANCE I like the intimacy of this space. The compact, covered, exterior seating is airy, decorated with table plants, and bustling with patrons. SERVICE Staff were super here - friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and helpful. DRINK Jasper Vitality Tonic: coffee, cherry chaga, vanilla, verjus (tart, slightly bitter, and sweet - well presented) FOOD Every dish was photogenic - not just delish, but also a sight to see! 5/5 pistachio bread pudding mascarpone cème fraîche. lavender honey. black sesame. seasonal accompaniments (airy yet decadent) Their elaborate dishes with protein were mostly sold out, luckily their sides kept this carnivore in good spirits; 5/5 Hangar Steak 5/5 Grilled Shrimp 4.5/5 çılbır - turkish eggs poached eggs. herbed yogurt. chili garlic butter. torn herbs. toast (executed and presented very well, although a little surprised by the price tag)

With Atelier Manna's Michelin guide recognition, my expectations were high, however, a few pain points kept it from living up to the hype. PLANNING A VISIT: We planned ahead and booked our table 2-3 weeks in advance. We even arrived early, yet still faced a 30-minute wait which is a tough sell for a party who came hungry. AMBIANCE: The space is undeniably gorgeous, but the dining area itself is cramped, small, and fully outdoors. The weather was manageable, though standing in line in the heat while waiting wasn't exactly a great start to the meal. SERVICE: Our server was genuinely helpful and attentive for the most part, but there were some noticeable hiccups, with our dishes initially placed at the wrong table, and the overall pace of service felt slow. FOOD: This is where Atelier Manna earns its stripes. You can truly taste the craft and artistry in every dish. + Çılbır aka Turkish Eggs ($23): A standout. Soft poached eggs beautifully balanced with herbed yogurt and chili garlic butter, served on perfectly crunchy sourdough toast. Elegant and satisfying. + Torrija aka Spanish-Style French Toast ($27): A must for sweet lovers. The yuzu cheesecake pairing is bold and heavy, but it makes for a surprisingly interesting combo with the thick-cut sourdough. Rich and indulgent. + Silver Tip Jasmine White Tea ($7): Was pleasant and fine, but nothing that left a lasting impression. Bottom Line: The food is genuinely excellent and worth trying. But between the long wait despite a reservation, the tight outdoor seating, and the occasional service misstep, the overall experience doesn't quite match the prestige of a Michelin-recognized establishment. Worth a visit for the cuisine alone but I would just go in with tempered expectations.

Taking the hubby on a small road trip and did a search for places to stop by and get some grub and Manna kept popping up so decided to make a reservation. Neither of us are big brunch people. I remember doing brunch back in the late 80s in NY and then going antiquing. That was a thing. Decided to try it anyhow since the photos look amazing. On the way down, there were accidents along the 5bfway and what should have been a 1.5 hour trip ended up taking over two hours. We were afraid to miss the place as they are open only until 2. We made it 40 minutes later than our reservation but we were quickly accommodated. And what a surprise. We had tow of their signature dishes. The Turkish eggs and the French toast. We also added the crudo and some non alcoholic cocktails. Service was friendly and efficient. The host welcoming and friendly, we chatted about traffic coming down and he gave us some history of the restaurant and other ventures. If brunch was like this back home I'd probably be brunching more often. I'd definitely would come back. In fact already agreed that if we head down to SD we would swing by and grab some brunch.

I had a love time here with a friend for brunch. The patio was delightful to sit on with plenty of shade and cute decor. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful in recommending items that we had questions about. I Vitality tonic: 5/5 Delicious, refreshing, unique, elegant. I can't remember if I got the Goldenrod or the other one whose name I can't remember, but both were lovely! Turkish eggs with added hangar steak: 4/5 Could have used more bread for dipping, but it was a very flavorful dish. Hangar steak was cooked perfectly. However, without steak, the Turkish eggs would have been very small so would not recommend unless you add a protein or get two dishes for yourself. Pistachio bread pudding: 4/5 Very velvety, soft, luscious, unique. I think this could have been amped up a little more somehow, but it was still great. The bill adds up quickly, but had a lovely morning here and I would be back for the drinks alone!

I'm going to take my time with this one. There are very few culinary experiences that leap off the plate and change your sensory memory. The kind where one bite has layers of flavor and texture and you just pause. Where food stops being sustenance and becomes one of the best things you've ever tasted. I've lived in Vegas. I've lived in Honolulu. I've eaten at Michelin star restaurants. And somehow, this small curbside breakfast café lives up to all of it. Some of the best bites I've ever had. It's like eating artwork. Get a reservation. It's booked for a reason. The service staff knows their craft, the food is precise but playful, and the whole experience feels light, thoughtful, and fun and incredibly reasonably priced for the experience.

First time trying this place. Have had it saved for a little while. Parking is street and didn't have issues on a Saturday. We had a reservation but still had to wait about 15-17min which was odd but not a big deal as we weren't in a rush. They were definitely packed so understandable. The staff were all friendly and our server esp was knowledgeable, friendly and made great suggestions. I think her name was Stacia? Had the Veracruz drink which was SO tasty but VERY tiny. It was $11 and what massive sized balls of ice so in reality it ended up being a few sips I probably would not order again not because it didn't taste good but because you hardly get anything. The Turkish eggs + side of steak was fantastic! Probably my fav dish I've had in awhile. The portion of steak was unfortunately on the smaller side but perfectly cooked. The Spanish French toast on the other hand was quite large and beautifully plated. The flavors paired well together. Perfectly crunch on the outside and softer interior. Loved the tartness mixed with sweet. I do think ordering this alone is a bit too much so it's perfect to split with someone and order another dish on the side (like we did with a savory dish). Would definitely come back to try more dishes. Everything was so unique and I loved the attention to detail in everything they do here.

Reservations encouraged and be prepared to have your palette wowed. We had a 10:30am reservation and were seated promptly. I ordered the Jasper Elixir which was bright, tangy, had a hint of cherry and coffee notes. The food was amazing, most notably the Turkish eggs with bread and the guava panna cotta. The poached eggs sit atop this luxurious herbed yogurt and chili oil with tons of fresh herbs. Once you break the yolk, you dip the crusty bread and gobble it up. The bites were creamy, velvety, tangy, and had a hint of spice. The guava panna cotta was really lovely, beautifully presented, and a nice sweet ending. I would pass on the French toast. It's a 1/3 of a loaf of bread that is soaked in custard but not enough to soak all the way through so the middle is dry and just like eating a piece of dry bread. I think the presentation is a wow factor but otherwise a let down. I appreciated our server warning us how carb heavy our meal was when we wanted to order another item. He was not only correct in his assessment but saved us money and embarrassment from not being able to finish had we ordered it. The restaurant used to house Moto, so it was weird sitting at a nicely set table where I used to sit on a bench eating my BLT in my swimsuit. The service and plating was excellent and I can't wait to return. The breakfast sandwich and porridge looked great, so that may call my name on the next visit.

Wow, what an excellent experience! Service, food and ambience. A friend took me out here and I was impressed with everything. The decor is very eclectic, artistic, and even their bathroom, it was a bit quaint. It is cozy, the kind of place you feel like hanging out for hours, although, it would not probably be reasonable to do so, as there is a line of people waiting. Food was amazing, fine, distinct in flavor, with attention to the smallest details. I wish they would open places like this down in the Southbay. Price is reasonable considered the quality. Service is great, server and staff are all very friendly and seem to be working well together. Would love to come back anytime soon. It is a gem, worth visiting.

One of the best meals I've had in a long time. The service was personable and friendly. We hit traffic and we were running late and they were kind enough to allow us to still eat even though it was close to closing time. The dishes were immaculate, and I felt like I was eating in Europe. French toast is more for Instagram than for breakfast, but it was still delicious and amazing. The egg dish with herbs was one of the best things I ever tasted.

Had a decent experience coming here for brunch! This is a spot located in Leucadia. Parking will either be on the street or in the dirt lot a couple mins walk away. Seating is minimal with outdoor patio tables. Service was friendly and attentive. As most trendy restaurants, the food will be smaller portions for a decent/hefty price. I would not come here if you are pretty hungry or expecting a regular breakfast menu. We ordered the French Toast, ceviche, and Turkish eggs. The ceviche had good flavor and tasted fresh. I would've expected it to be served with chips. The Turkish eggs tasted nice with the chili oil and yogurt. I would recommend this. I did also find the French toast to be unique and delicious. I do think this dish was actually worth it. They do have a limited drink menu, I got one mimosa for $15. It tasted like it was made with fresh oranges. All in all, come here if you don't mind spending money.

This is my 4th time enjoying brunch at Manna and it is did not disappoint. They opened reservations recently and I highly recommend making one if you're planning to come. We had a 9am reservation and there was already a large group of people waiting to get in at the entrance when we arrived. The tonics are a must when coming to Manna. The drinks are innovative and delicious and there is something for everyone. They are also beautifully presented which makes the drinks extra enjoyable. We got the Torrija toast and the Cilbir which tend to be the most popular food items on the menu for good reason. The torrija changes flavors. This was the yuzu cheesecake one and it was delicious and filling. Sweet but not overly sweet. The eggs were savory and delicious and perfectly poached. Admittedly, the food can take a while to come out. The kitchen is small and they make everything per order. This is probably not the right place to go if you want a quick meal, but the wait is definitely worth it. The staff are always nice and have great recommendations. I always look forward to a meal here!

Side of hangar steak $16

I emailed them to make a reservation, but it took a while to get a confirmation back. It wasn't until I got there that I noticed a Michelin recommendation plaque on their wall outside. The menu is not too extensive, so they do run out of items sometimes. At the time of my visit, they ran out of French toast! Maybe it's a popular item, so I guess you should try it if you can. I loved the panna cotta with seasonal fruits. The side of hangar steak is also pretty good but $16. Actually everything we ordered was pretty good but pricey. They're known for their vitality tonics, which I thought were ok. It's not my thing, so I wouldn't order those again. The bread pudding was so good! Their dining area is quite small and all outdoors. Parking: free street parking or free parking in the dirt lot across the street. Be careful crossing the street because there is no crosswalk and you have to watch cars coming from both sides. No wifi Apple Pay/Credit cards accepted. Bathroom available - only one room by the kitchen Outdoor seating only

Served with a small bowl of rice noodles, lime, cilantro, and sesame leaves to make a little wrap.

We had a fantastic breakfast here for a friend's birthday. I'm glad we had a reservation because it fills fast at 9am when it opens. Seating is outside under a cover and they had heat lamps going to help with the morning chill. The servers were attentive and helpful. The Turkish eggs were fantastic -- tangy and rich with Prager Bros. bread to dip. The French toast was good, it was very sweet and almost like a bread pudding in the middle of a fat slice of bread. My favorite dish was the chicken roulade! I was so surprised at the flavor of it all -- the tamarind sauce was a perfect compliment to the lime, cilantro, and other toppings. I also tried one of their vitality tonics called Crimson. It was the delightful mix of smoky and citrus. The menu is seasonal so it's best to check the website to see what they are serving before you go. Can't recommend this place enough!

Instead of taking the plate back and replacing the meal, he simply removed the bagel from my plate and brought another one. Given the situation, I would have expected the entire dish to be remade. Additionally, the coffee mug I was given appeared dirty, which added to my concerns about overall cleanliness. I later felt sick and experienced symptoms consistent with food poisoning, possibly related to the meal. For the quality of food and service provided, the pricing felt unreasonably high. The overall experience did not reflect the cost. I'm really disappointed with the lack of quality control and how the situation was handled. I hope management takes food safety, cleanliness, and customer service more seriously moving forward.
