In addition, I was working from home a lot. I had just purchased a 2021 Ford Explorer, which should handle some snow. The winter came and went without any difficulties. Fast forward to December 2025 and the situation changed dramatically. I was no longer working remotely as much, and so far it's been an old fashioned Minnesota winter, with all the cold and snow that comes with it. On 12/09/2025, we had a pretty decent winter storm roll on through and it was life altering in the sense I've never been afraid while behind the wheel of a car -- until now. I was barely able to stay on the road. The tires that were on the car were so bad I couldn't even make it up a 3 - 4% grade hill near my house. I needed tires badly. Discount Tire has been my go-to for tires for the past couple of decades. I made an appointment for 12/20 and ordered the tires I wanted. Mother Nature wanted to time t me though, and what was supposed to be just a "dusting of snow" on 12/18 turned into a winter weather advisory. It wasn't as bad as the week before, but it was bad enough that I didn't want to have to deal with it anymore, if I didn't have to. On Friday, December 19, I got off work early so I called Discount Tire and begged to get in to have them installed. The person I spoke with told me to bring it in and they would get everything installed that day. I cannot express my gratitude enough for them making the accommodation to get me in, even a day earlier. Now, I'll be able to navigate the remainder of winter without nearly the difficulty I once had. Thank you to those that stayed late to get my tires installed and get me back on the road! A special thanks to Caleb, who somehow was able to get me in on a Friday night after 5 PM. You are literally lifesavers in this case.

The team at Big O took the tire and worked their magic to reseal the tire to the rim. They weren't sure if their tools would work for the small tire but it was worth a shot. In less than five minutes the tech came out with the tire sealed and full of air. The team was great! They took the tire and figured out how to reseal it and handed back to me full of air. They used to inform me of a whole bunch of other things I needed done on my car, but I never got the recommended work done there, so they quit telling me I need more work done. I never really trusted that they were telling me the truth, but now I wonder if they are even doing the inspections that they say they are. The coupon for an oil change I brought with me for my most recent visit didn't have an expiration date on it, but the manager said he could not honor it as it was "too old". There's a simple solution here - put an expiration date on the coupon mailer, then customers won't feel misled. After the service, I was sent an email to write a google review or to contact the owner via phone or leave a written message for him. However, the written message portion didn't work on either my laptop or phone. Overall, I cannot recommend this establishment based on not honoring their coupon price and the feeling that they offer the coupon to get your vehicle in so they can recommend other work that may or may not be needed.

After getting our Pacifica serviced for an upcoming trip, I drove home and immediately started to hear a new noise coming from the front tire. I pulled in my driveway (only a few miles away) and my warning light came on indicating no tire pressure. I drove back and the Quick Lane Manager Ross Erickson greeted me "what's wrong, you just left". I told him what happened and he personally took in the van ahead of the waiting cars. He also took care of the problem himself. Apparently, I ran over a large metal object that made the noise and a large puncture in my tire. He did it quick and NO Charge with a smile.
