I have been long torn about whether to leave a review or not, but now I believe it is time that I do because damage has been done and I need to let people know about it. I needed a rear differential for my V8 van. Previously I had been getting an unbelievable 18-22 mpg. Not knowing exactly what to look for, I asked several times if the part they had would give me the same mileage. I was told that the gear ratio was the same and I'd get the same mileage. After I bought it on good faith my mechanic told me it was a different ratio, but I had already bought this one and sold my core. I had to move forward. Right away it went down to 11 mpg. So I have been afraid to drive it with gas fluctuating between 2-something and $4. Their carelessness halved my mileage, and made it so I don't even want to drive the vehicle any more. I am reluctant to sell it because any buyer will be expecting 18 miles per gallon. Who is going to buy it when I tell them it gets 11 mpg now? read more

I have been sending people to this shop for years. I also enjoy their commitment to local racing. Never have I heard a bad comment or even a shread of evidence they are nothing above perfect. I dont believe a review from Anchorage Alaska from 2012 has any bearing on this company. Hope my five star can nullify it. read more

After a diagnostic, price quote and several trips to the GMC dealership I decided to get a second opinion. Thankfully I did because the dealership had it all wrong!! AJ'S assessed the problem and had it fixed in under an hour. Not to mention they communicated with me every step of the way so I would know what was going on and what the cost would be. I ended up not paying for something that I didn't need and I saved money. They are honest, fast, friendly, and efficient. I went to them based off a referral who said they've always done excellent work for them and I'm glad I did. I definitely will be going back and telling all my friends! read more

Actually, zero stars. I wanted to try this place out because it's close to my house. It's a complete waste of time and bigger waste of money - a total ripoff. They strike me as being either incompetent or dishonest - I don't know which is worse. I wanted them to replace my car's thermostat because at that time I wasn't able to do it myself. They wanted $120 to do it - I thought it was a bit steep, but was in a bind and told them to do it anyway. They called me later that day and said it wasn't the thermostat, but that the head gasket was leaking because there was coolant on the engine. They wanted over $1000.00 to fix the car. I told them not to do it, and I'd take care of it myself. They charged me $40.00 to pull my car into their garage, open the hood, glance at the engine, and back it out again. Bottom line: I replaced the thermostat ($18.00) and a leaking coolant hose ($11.00) and the car runs perfectly. The car NEVER exhibited any of the classic symptoms of a leaking head gasket (cloudy exhaust, carbon in the coolant, etc). It seems to me a reputable car repair operation would never (1) give a specific diagnosis without actually checking out the problem, (2) request authorization to perform $1000 worth of work (completely unrelated to the problem at hand) without performing a thorough diagnostic check, and (3) feel good about doing so. I won't go there again. Save yourself the hassle and go next door to Tires Plus or someplace across highway 169 instead. read more

A good, honest local shop with reasonable prices. The hours are a bit short: they close by 6 weeknights and are not open on Saturday or Sunday, but I trust their technical and administrative staff. We've had several vehicles serviced here including installation of a dealer-provided ABS module in our van, tires and wheel bearings for our car and general oil changes for all of our vehicles. They worked after hours on our car knowing I needed it for work the next day. read more

I wrote a review earlier and decided to go back to Aj's again why? Because I believe everybody deserves a second chance. I'm so glad I did They where very friendly got my daughters car in fast and keep me informed the whole time. I even got a cookie why I was waiting. Will be back !! read more
