Communication was good and the price was reasonable. Despite what the other review here says, parts and labor have a 2 year warranty, based on what I was told and my receipt. I can't speak to how well they honor that. I'm very happy with the service.

Excellent service is rare anywhere you go, but it's what I get when I take my cars here. I'm willing to pay to have Alford's do the work because I trust them to fix what's broken and to also let me know what I need to keep an eye on. But they have NEVER tried to pressure me into fixing those other possible repairs they have noticed. I keep a family fleet of cars going and having a place to bring them where I know I won't be jerked around is great. I highly recommend Alford's repair. I would be shocked if you didn't receive the same great service as I always have.

Slim's Auto Repair - Anoka, MN…read more Slim's came highly recommended by a close family friend, Dave Marrs -- a man who, even after moving away from Anoka, still drives back just to have Slim's work on his vehicles. That alone told me everything I needed to know about the kind of trust and loyalty this shop inspires. I showed up at Slim's tired, stressed, and honestly just needing someone real -- someone who'd talk to me like a human being, not a problem to rush through. I'd been through enough breakdowns lately (cars and otherwise), and I needed honest communication, fair pricing, and a genuine sense of care. Slim's delivered all of that and more. They explained what needed to be done without condescension or fluff, kept me updated, and finished my "blower motor surgery" along with a few other diagnostics quickly and efficiently. When I picked up my car, I slid into the driver's seat, turned the key, and just knew. You know that feeling -- when the engine hums smooth and steady, and your gut says, "She's good." That's the Slim's difference. It's not just about fixing cars; it's about restoring trust -- in the work, in people, and in the idea that good businesses still exist. Slim's Auto earned not just my five stars, but my respect, gratitude, and repeat business for life. -- Christina Evers #AnokaMN #AutoRepair #FiveStarService #HonestMechanic #CustomerForLife

They are so honest, they'll tell you when you don't need something done to save you money. They don't try to "upsell" everything by telling you 20 other things you should have them do to your vehicle. They will tell you if something truly needs attention though. They have always done super high quality work, and at a very fair price with good turnaround time. They are prompt with communication and never go silent. These guys have told me "nah, you don't need that" on more than one occasion. And when I DO need that, they've always found a reasonably cheap way to do it. Case in point: when my muffler started falling off, I thought for sure I'd need a new one. They were all like "nah bro" and just soldered some shit together. And it lasted until my car died three years later!

I went online and searched for local auto repair stores in my area and researched the reviews for each place. I was most impressed with Ultra Tech Automotive, especially since they are family owned and have been in business for many years. Coming from a family with small business owners, I wanted to give my support to a small business rather than a box store. Don and Carol, as in the reviews were very personable, friendly and Don explained in detail and in a language I could understand what needed to be done with my vehicle. I was able to ask questions and access if everything really needed to be done and make a decision with no pressure. Don was honest and upfront about what needed to be done and what did not need to be done. He even noticed I was close to needing an oil change and asked if I wanted that done. I also had an air filter in my car that I had purchased from an auto store that I was going to put in myself but hadn't had time to get to. They put it in for me which was appreciated. I even asked if they would give a discount for cash versus credit card, and they did. I'm very pleased with the work and time frame it took to complete the work and will definitely be bringing my car back to them when further work is needed, especially since my car is a 2008 and not a newer vehicle. I would definitely recommend this place to my family and friends. Jacqueline G.
