Well when I got the car back I noticed they had chipped the fresh paint on my strut tower near the upper strut mount nuts. They were careless while loosing or tightening the upper strut nut and their socket slipped off and chipped the paint. If that's not bad enough when I was up racing at BIR I had to adjust my coilovers and found that they had way over torqued the lower strut mount bolt, stripping it out. I thought these guys were professionals, it's an embarrassment. Tires plus could have done a better job. If you value your car I wouldn't take it here. Very disappointed with their workmanship.

I brought my car into Andover Auto Care because I see them on my way to work. I recently moved into the area and needed to find a good garage in my new area. I noticed they had an oil change special. I made an appointment and asked them if they could check out the front end as it has been vibrating. I asked if they could shake the tires once its up to check for ball joints / tie rods that could have gone bad. They said no problem, we do numerous checks on each vehicle any how. I go to pick up my car and I am faced with a 75$ bill! They indicated that they "had time" into it and had to charge something. I asked him why they did not tell me this up front. He had no answer. The problem ended up being loose lugnuts from getting new tires a few weeks back and I had alloy wheels. Its not the money, its the principal of deceit. Avoid this place at all costs before they stick it to you too.

Found to be faulty install from Dealership. Had Andover Auto Care test and replace a Ignition Control module. After the repair the alternator went out still in there parking lot. Andover Auto told me to buy one they would put one in for me. They put one in and when I got home and had a Mechanic friend look at it and it was inproperly installed. Autozone confirmed this. Second problem was that the cars stalled randomly since. I took the Car to Dealership on 3/14/2011 to get a diag done and they found that the ICM ( Ignition Control module) wires were not seated and need to be re connected to solve the problem they are spring locked so they don't just come loose. I am retired and don't put on many miles so this had low miles .

On top of that he was told it would be ready same day then when he followed up, they said it would be ready the next day, then he followed up again and they told him it would be four days! Management offered $100 off and a rental car for the inconvenience but when we asked ti speak to his Manager he said he couldn't share that information and his hands were tied. Well we understand car repairs are not cheap we also understand the importance of honesty and commnication! We told them we would be picking the truck up to take it somewhere else and they told us it was already ready for us. Interesting how that's possible when they said that it was completely torn apart. This experience was one blunder after another! Hoping for a better experience at the next place...rant over; enjoy your weekend all!
