After calling a few times to see if they could supply tires to me, I ended up NOT going with them to supply my tires, however I did have them mount and balance new tires I purchased from TireRack.com. I would give them more stars if they didn't feel a little bit condecending when I talk to them on the phone. The service is other wise is good. They were one of the only shops that was able to look at and fix my car same day before Xmas. I can't tell you how amazing it was to have a car during the holidays and not be Ubering all over the place or worse not being able to see my family during the holidays. The value seems good. I came in to inquire about a tire repair I was immediately met with hostile energy and comments belittling my knowledge was told it was going to be $58, i said that was more than I expected and they said good luck finding somewhere else, another unnecessary and hateful comment, don't come here if your a young women, sterlings on university can patch a tire for $33 :) read more

They will scam you. Avoid this place. Today (4/25/22) was my first experience there. I went in for an oil change, and they suggested an air cabin filter change. I said, "why not, throw it in!" To my surprise, I was scammed. Air cabin filter is a simple fix and doesn't require much labor--it usually only takes about 15 minutes. When I received my receipt, I then understood the slimy ethos of the business. I was charged 20 for the cabin filter parts (which I expected), but then I was charged 51 dollars for the labor cost. Called at 7am got down there at 7:45. He said it would be about 45 minutes put a New Val stem reader in a used tire and I was on my way to work fast friendly, nice and clean shop Awesome service. The worst part about the place is the manager who works there, I am not sure if I have met a more bitter and unfriendly person in my life. 10 stars! We called on a Saturday morning at 9 am and the car was done before noon. He was honest and knew what he was talking about. Installed new tires (balanced and mounted), oil change, new tail light, and winterized to 25 below zero. I get free tire rotation every 5000 miles now too! I can't speak to the actual ability of this shop to fix cars, but I came in to get a bent wheel rim looked at and while they weren't able to fix it (neither could 3 other shops, had to replace it), they were helpful and patient and switched my spare on my car at no cost. While my car was being repaired their staff rifled through my car and stole things. When asked about it they just shrugged their shoulders and dismissed me. The continents of the glove box and console were strewn all over the inside of the car and an item that had sentimental value was stolen. read more

Amazing job my car heater wouldn't turn off when the car shut off, I called 10 places near my work to see if they could work on it today, one of those places recommended Mr. Tire and Steve were able to get me in, figured out the issue (and others I had been ignoring) fixed the ones I asked for and my car runs smoothly again! There's a reason I hate squirrels and Mr. Tire. Last spring, I was trying to meet a friend for dinner and noticed my car was acting up. I was able to get back, but when I opened the hood, I found a nest in the engine! A nest! I removed it and checked back the next day. The day after that, it rained so I didn't bother. Bad idea. Sunday came round, and I opened the hood. Not only was there another nest, but FOUR SQUIRREL BABIES. Plus, they had chewed up the windshield wiper fluid line and a bunch of wires and my PCV valve. Arg. A friend recommended Mr Tire to me, so I took my car there for repair. It cost $400 for my repairs. Instead of replacing wires and the fluidline entirely, they had just reconnected them and taped the exposed wire over. I felt this was shoddy, but seeing as I don't know much about cars, I assumed this was the way of doing it normally. As I drove back home, the Service Engine light went back on. So I took it back the next day, where they told me they had to replace the PVC valve. This cost another $300. I got my car back, but as I was driving home, the Service Engine light went back on. This time, it took a few days for them to figure it out. Apparently, they ordered the wrong valve. Yet when I got my car back, the Service Engine light went back on. It turns out that they installed it incorrectly. BACKWARDS. I was there a total of six times. The last time I was there, the SE light did not go on. But when I turned on my car, I realized that they had just turned it off so it wouldn't go on. EVER. So if there is a real problem with my car, I won't really know until it stalls in the middle of the road in Nowhere, Minnesota. Thanks, Mr Tire. At this point, I was really frustrated and decided against going back. I mean, I had spent over $700 and quite a few hours at their location. I didn't really feel like wasting my time with people who kept charging me to crappy job on my car. The main mechanic guy is from the School of Fifties Masculinity, so he was condescending to me in a way he probably thought was flattering. Plus, each time I was in, they kept telling me to get some other services done on my car. I still get calls from them about check up services that need to be done. But seeing as they didn't really fix my baby to begin with, no thanks. I'll go somewhere else. If you like being belittled, overcharged, and left with a car that isn't completely repaired, feel free to go to Mr Tire. And that friend who recommended Mr Tire to me? We are no longer friends. First brought my husbands Audi here when the dealership insisted he needs new brakes. The guys thought it was a joke and they were on hidden camera. They were nice enough to show me the stages of brakes and that we had quite a while left on ours (over a year later still haven't needed to change them!). We since have brought back my Honda because the alarm was going off randomly. They found that it was a sensor and fixed it. So we rented a u haul from this location and service was fine along with the process of renting the U-Haul the thing that got us is that we asked permission to leave our car in their parking lot for a few hours while we moved our furniture When we got back checkout was fine and normal but a large U haul truck parked next to our outside of its spaces lines boxing our car in and in the process scraped our car's side view mirror with a perfect paint scrape line on the U-haul to show where it happened. I went in the front to mention that while it doesn't need to get fixed the drivers should be more careful so to not hit other cars and the front desk manager/attendant insisted that he had parked the car and not hit our car. From that point completely denied any possible responsibility without even being willing to come and look at literally the red paint from our car on his Parked truck. I wasn't looking for you to repair anything I was just trying to provide a heads up to an issue and the front desk managed/attendant got super defensive and denied any responsibility. You can't take responsibility for your mistakes you're a bad company period. read more

I don't know how many women are out there in the yelp world that have experienced sexism or have been talked down to when they go to a auto-shop. I typically prep myself before going into the shop with a mental shield because of past experiences. I came back to this shop because one of the main office staff people is an understanding and respectful woman and does the best she can with what she's working with. I called ahead to get an oil change before going on a road trip and asked what the last appointment time would be that day. I was told 6pm and made sure to arrive before then. Walking into the shop, two people ahead and one just there to b.s. with the front man about current events. Not wanting to be rude, I waited my turn. At 5:50, he asked how he could help me. I told him I was there for an oil change. "Nope sorry, too late and I can't be having the mechanic mop the floor twice." I explained what I had been told by the daytime staff. That didn't matter. "You shouldn't have procrastinated so much." That assumption left a very sour taste in my mouth. I had played by the rules and not only that, I hauled it there as fast as I could after work. I called and complained the next day to the nice lady. "Oh I'm sorry he shouldn't have treated you like that. We sometimes have issues with him. Come on in when you can and we'll take care of you." I thought "take care of you" meant some sort of discount or perhaps a free oil change. No, it just meant a regular priced oil change. Sorry Mr. Tire, fulfilling something you should've done days before for full-price wasn't impressive enough to renew my hope in your customer service which the auto repair industry is all about. read more

My tire incurred some sort of gash on the way to work and was totally flat by the time i was ready to come home. So I put the spare on and brought the flat to Mr. Tire. I ended up leaving it there overnight because I didn't have any time to spare (NPI) and came in the next afternoon. The tire was fixed, and the cost nominal. But Mr. Tire would not put the tire back on my car. They said I'd have to wait up to an hour until a mechanic freed up. It was rainy that week and I was very tired so didn't feel like changing the tire myself, yet didn't have time to wait. So I came in the next day to get the tire changed and same thing. At least an hour wait. I've been through this rigamarole before and the mechanic has always put a fixed or new tire back on my car. And it can't take them more than about two minutes. Pretty bad service, pretty annoying. I will definitely not be going back there again. read more

Had 1 wheel bearing and valve stem replaced. $660! Charged for diagnostic although they did work. Researched pricing and found I was basically charged double for a simple job. It was -10 degrees F today and of course the "Check Tire Pressure" light came on my Civic. I drove to 3 different gas stations, at the first two the air pump was out of order, the tip of the hose was frozen at the third and wouldn't measure nor pump air into my tires even after I wasted a dollar in quarters. Well I didn't really want to wait to get this fixed as it's only supposed to get colder next week so I figured I'd bite the bullet and take my car over to Mr. Tire, figuring it would cost me like $10 or so. Being obviously young and female, I mentally braced myself for what I assumed would be the usual condescending and evasive attitude I sometimes experience at small auto shops, especially for so trivial a problem. I mean I know I don't know anything about cars, but I can still tell when I'm being treated like a child or an unwelcome alien. So anyway here I am, insecurely explaining my problem to a very kindly faced man who told me he could probably have it taken care of in 35-40 minutes. Just 30 minutes later he hands my keys back to me and says I'm good to go. I follow him to the counter but he refused payment, saying, "Come back when you need some actual work done." What? Really? Wow! Of course I thanked him profusely, and now I hope this review shows my gratitude. read more

Friendly staff, excellent, affordable, service and taken care of in a timely manner! I just went in for an oil change for the first time today and it was inexpensive! They didn't hassle me about other stuff like my air filter, or anything that they normally would at jiffy lube or valvoline. I think it has something to do with it all being in excellent working order, but a chain shop would still pressure you to pay for extras! I support small business and it's for this reason, skilled labor performed with integrity that directly benefits the local economy. I heart NE. Trying to figure out who the friendly staff are. Manager I've encountered there is one of the least friendly people I've ever dealt with. Had several jobs done there but all were overpriced. Stopped there with simple question that would have required a mechanic to open hood and look at engine. They said I would have to wait an hour and then bring it into shop for min fee of $54. I got a flat tire for the first time the other day. After I got my spare on my dad told me I needed to bring in the original tire to a shop to see if I could get it patched up. I brought it to Mr. Tire because it was close to my house. These guys were great! Dan and, maybe, Steve (didn't catch his name) helped me out and they were so nice, funny, and friendly. The quoted time was spot on. Dan mentioned my back tires were a little worn and mentioned that I should think about getting new ones in the future, but didn't press the concern. Had a flat tire this morning- took it in to Mr. Tire since they were the closest. Dropped it off, they told me it would be about an hour, hour and a half. They called about 45 minutes later saying the car was ready to be picked up, it was just a nail and they had patched the tire. Decent customer service- I'd venture over there again. read more

I am surprised by all the negativity about Steve's Mr. Tire in NE, Steve has always been honest with me as far as I can tell, plus he is a likeable guy, I have gotten good service there on more then one occasion, got my breaks done and a radiator replaced with no issues after either experience. I also got a very good deal on Tires once, I called around to about 5 tire places and got the cheapest quote at Mr. tire and when I got the bill it came to $50.00 dollars less then I was quoted (for 4 tires). Mr. Tire took amazing care of us! I had the misfortune of hitting a pothole, popping by tire and bending my rim at about 6:45 am.. with my still-in-pajamas-toddler in the backseat. Luckily I was close to Mr. Tire in NE and they open at 7:00. Cue one tired, stressed mom walking in the shop with a toddler in tow at 7:01 asking for help. The front desk worker was kind and quickly got the car checked in. By 8:00 I had a call that they had taken care of the rim and repaired the tire ... FREE OF CHARGE because we bought our tires there. What an awesome experience! The staff was helpful, kind and took care of our car so quickly - for a rough start to my morning, the whole fiasco was absolutely painless as soon as I walked into their shop. I took my van here for a brake job and new tires. A while before I took it there I had been parked in a parking lot at my doctor's office and someone hit the back tailgate door on my van and put a huge dent in it. They just took off and left the scene. I was very upset about it. When I went to pick up my van after having the brakes and tires done I walked to the van and couldn't find the dent. For absolutely no charge and without my even mentioning it, they removed the dent. I cannot tell you how happy I was. When I asked them why they did it, I was told, "It was just the right thing to do." I highly recommend them. Great service, comparable prices, thoughtful. read more
