The people here are the absolute BEST! I've been bringing my car here for the past 2-ish years for oil changes and general maintenance. They are honest, respectful, and friendly mechanics and workers here. Speaking as a woman, I have never experienced any condescension and feel very safe and not taken advantage of. Their prices are average, but the service is efficient, and the friendly staff make it worth it. They even gave my car a complimentary car wash after an oil change! They have a cozy waiting area in their office if you choose to wait for your car instead of taking one of their loaners. Minnetonka Mazda was charging me $120 for synthetic oil changes and told me I desperately needed to replace my air filter for $160. I mistakenly brought my vehicle here for a wheel bearing replacement. During the process Andrew called to inform me the wheel speed sensor broke and now the repairs would cost a few hundred more. A couple months later my AWD/chassis control light came on flashing. So I brought my vehicle back. Obviously something wasn't done right. While standing in the lobby I was quoted a fee of over $200 for BLVD to run a diagnostic test on the work they had previously done! Andrew made me feel extremely uncomfortable and clearly didn't care to help. His robotic nature and lack of empathy is very concerning for a service advisor. I don't know how it's possible they have customers if everyone is treated the way I was. Also tried to reach out to the owner and never heard back. read more

BLVD Autoworks has been the local mechanic I use for all of my cars, and I've used them for several years. Tom and the guys there always take great care of my vehicles, explain everything, and give me options for parts and service. I've always been happy with the work they do, and their prices for both parts and labor. On a couple occasions they have gone above and beyond by coming to my house to help fix a problem or replace a part. I brought my car in on Wednesday for an oil change and brake inspection ($950 later...). the very next day after my car was worked on, suddenly my engine seemed to malfunction and apparently the airflow sensor had an issue. I have never had a single hiccup with my engine or any indication that my engine needed work. This ended up costing me $500 on top of the already almost $1000 i paid the day before. I am completely convinced that the issue with my airflow sensor occurred due to either 1. Negligence from the mechanics or, 2. intentionally from the mechanics in order to take advantage of a woman by herself at the car shop. Additionally, my boyfriend brought his car in the week prior to get his AC fixed. Two days after leaving Blvd, his AC stopped working. I an really bummed because I truly thought this was a car shop I could trust, but at this point I feel like I have been taken advantage of and I will not be returning. I will be telling other about my and my boyfriends experiences and will encourage others to take their vehicles elsewhere. read more

My first set of tires on my Tesla Model S were worn out at 30,000 miles. I specifically requested long life tires and BLVD Autoworks came through. My second set were installed the other day at 104,000 miles--4 years after the short lived tires from Tesla. My next set will for sure be at BLVD Autoworks!! I am impressed. I cannot say enough great things about the auto shop here. Since I moved to Minnesota, 4 years ago, this is the only place I trust to bring my vehicles. All of the employees are very nice and helpful, even with scheduling on short notice. Recently I brought a car in with some dashboard lights on and a sound in the engine. They were able to get me in quickly, and later that day I got a call with an update. The dash lights were due to a sensor failure in one of the wheels, but the engine sound was basically a full engine failure. They came back later that day with price estimates, and were not pushy at all when I had to think about whether it was worth fixing for that price. When I asked if I could fix the sensor anyways, and let the motor run till it failed, they told me they couldn't in good conscience suggest I put more money into the car unless I did the engine, which they even said probably wasn't worth it at the value of the car. The honesty about every situation I have had with a car there has been stellar. They are always honest about how badly certain works needs to be done or in many cases, not done. Also very helpful that with a little planning on my part they always have a loaner car to use for the day when I drop my vehicle off. Awesome place, Highly recommended. read more

Just the thought of getting my car checked out makes me stressed out, so I made sure to check out Yelp before bringing in my car anywhere. Everyone's right - these are great people to work with! I usually feel like I constantly have my guard up when talking to people repairing my car, but I experienced nothing but honesty and great, fast service here at St. Anthony Mobil. I brought my car in because it had been making terrible sounds. I really appreciated that they were willing to go out on a test drive with me to see what the issue was (most other places I've gone to only test it in the garage and give up if they can't reproduce the problem there) While I was pulling up to the front, Jason told me he could fix my problem without me even getting out of the car. Turned out to be a loose plastic cover on the bottom of the car that was dragging on the ground, and in 5 minutes he had it ready to go for FREE! I came here for the reviews. I understand they have good customer service, though when I went it was nothing special. All mechanics are usually in a "busy working" type of mood anyways. Its their price thats ridiculous. An oil change at a shop, shouldn't be that expensive (thats why youre willing to wait so long). But it was just as expensive as a quick oil shop. I also asked about my tires being rotated a few times. They never did it. I just got an oil change AND work done at a quick oil shop. It was more than $40 cheaper (from the quote they gave me here) and took maybe 20 min. Just doesnt compare. This was my experience. read more

I love to get my gas from this station because they are always friendly. They never give me weird faces when I ask stupid questions about my car. This past week I got to use their repairs shop. My car was shaking uncontrollably and so I decided to try to fix it myself by equalizing my tire pressure. Seemed like a good plan at the time. Luckily the guys at St. Anthony Mobil noticed that my back tire was shot. The metal frame inside the tire had obviously burst and so my tire was not round anymore. Kind of dangerous and believe it or not, this has happened to me before because I always get cheap tires. Well this time they were able to replace my tires with cheap, but still better quality tires. The guys in the shop also offered to give me a loaner or just give me a ride home and back. I felt like I was getting quality service! read more

As usual, diagnosed problem and fixed it in short order. Had a slow leak of air from a tire. Turned out that the rim was carroded. They ground out the corrosion and replaced the stem, balanced tire and mounted it. Cost less than $40 read more

This is an excellent repair station, which provides honest and quality work, great customer service, the convenience of loaners or a ride to/from work/home if you need it, and they even wash your car when they're done servicing it. The most important basis of my star rating here is that several times when I've brought my car in, they've actually brought me back into the shop to SHOW ME what was wrong with my vehicle. No other shop has ever done that, and I totally appreciate it. It makes me trust them fully in their estimate and even teaches me about my own car. Because there are cheaper places out there, I do sometimes shop around, but I would recommend this place to anyone. read more

What a wonderful place!! I stopped in after just arriving from Texas and my windshield washer fluid was frozen solid! Without an appointment, they took my car into their warm shop and replaced the fluid with the proper solution. They only charged for the fluid and wouldn't take anything for the two hours it took!!! Their lobby is warm and cozy with free coffee and hot chocolate and the bathroom was immaculate. But it's the warmth and hospitality of the sweet employees working there that will bring this Texas girl back!!! read more

I don't know a ton about cars. Enough to not completely screw one up, but not enough that I really know what I'm doing. So to me, having a mechanic that's trustworthy and not going to try to pull one over on me is probably my biggest priority. I had yet to need work done on my car since moving to Minnesota a year ago, so I came in knowing nothing about mechanics in the Twin Cities. St. Anthony Mobil was fantastic. They were upfront about everything and communicated with me very well regarding the issues my car was having. As I sat in the lobby waiting, I heard them talk to people coming in for gas and repairs on a first name basis, and I later learned that most of the employees had been there over a decade. These are people that care about what they do and the people they serve. They also offered a shuttle to take me to work and pick me up again when my car was ready. That was unexpected and a great perk. The only reason I rate it four stars instead of five is that I felt the labor pricing was a bit higher than other mechanics I've been to in the past. However, you get what you pay for and I'd certainly recommend St. Anthony Mobil to anyone needing service on their vehicle. read more

We've been using St Anthony Mobile for three years now but today the service was so exceptional I had to write a review. We dropped our first car off on our way to work for a oil change - no appointment needed. On our way home from work (5pm) we stopped to switch cars. Our second car needed an oil change and rear light fixed. we said we didn't need our second car back at any specific time and they could take along as they needed. This is where it gets good.... First they said to make it easier for us we could just pay all the services at the same time when we picked up our second car. Second, they said they had been keeping our first car in a garage so it didn't get snowed on so we could see the clean car (exterior had been washed and the interior wiped down). Last, after dropping off our second car we went home and started cooking dinner when we got a knock on the door - it was the people from St Anthony Mobile - they had drove our second car to our doorstep after only having it for a few hours. They said we could just stop in any time in the next couple of days to pay our bill. What service!!!!!!!!!!! I never expected this nor did I ever think the people doing my car repairs would go out of their way to drive my car home for me. I would highly recommend this place and will always bring my cars here. read more

I had an estimate done elsewhere that seemed ridiculous and way over priced, had the work done at SAM and they didn't have to do any of the ridiculousness and barely charged me. At that very moment I had my 'garage' - that was a few years ago. I have been here a number of times and they know who I am, have built up my trust, and I always leave understanding what was done, feeling it was well done, and that I paid an honest price. Lastly, I am a woman and they explain things to me, but don't talk down to me ~I never feel like I have to bring my husband in to get the 'real story' on what needs to be done. Guys seem friendly here but honesty, Oh that's another story. Dropped my Honda here for a suspicious noise coming from gaskets. One month in the shop and $5000 repair bill to clean gaskets, this was my rip off or rather my shaming moment for 2017 for they were able to get away with it. And the noise had not even gone away just a little less pronounced. Less than 5 months later the same issue is back. Should I even go back to them?? After what I went through. I love that I can take my car into St. Anthony Mobile and not worry about getting screwed. My heater broke and I called to make an appointment. Before I did, they suggested I do a few things to troubleshoot in case it was a quick, easy fix I could do myself. I appreciate that! It turns out that the car did need to have pro work done but I brought the car in and got a good price for parts and labor. I've used them a few times in the past and always been pleased with service and price. I also like that they have loaner cars and competitive prices on gas. As the previous posted mentioned, they aren't open on Saturdays or Sundays and that bumps it down to 4 stars. read more

You would never get that at jiffy lube! On top of that, they did not try to charge me extra for anything that I did not need. One thing that I really loved was the cleanliness of the waiting area. I have lived in Minneapolis for more than three years and I have not gotten an oil change at the same place twice because I haven't had a stellar enough experience at any one spot to want to go back. A friend recommended St. Anthony Mobil so I went in for a very overdue oil change. This will now be my go-to car service place. I waited while they did the oil change, but apparently they will drive you home if you want to leave your car. Amazing! Also, you get a free car wash with an oil change.
